Effects of Dietary Vitamin C and E on Carcass Grade and Fatty Acid Composition of Hanwoo Steers (비타민 C 및 E 급여가 한우 거세우의 도체등급과 지방산 조성에 미치는 영향)

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of dietary vitamin C and E on carcass characteristics of Hanwoo steers. Thirty seven Hanwoo steers were randomly assigned to one of four treatments. The four treatments were control(vitamin E 20 IU/kg feed), vitamin C(vitamin C 0.1%/kg feed and vitamin E 20 IU/kg feed), vitamin E(vitamin E 220 IU/kg feed) and vitamin C plus E(vitamin C 0.1%/kg feed and vitamin E 220 IU/kg feed). Hanwoo steers were fed experimental diets for 3 months of the last finishing period. Animals fed the diet containing vitamin C plus E had higher(P<0.05) yield grade than those fed the other diets but quality grade was not different between animals fed the control diet and vitamin-supplemented diets. Proximate analysis in longissimus dorsi was not different between animals fed the control diet and vitamin-supplemented diets. Vitamin C concentration in longissimus dorsi was higher (P<0.05) in the animals fed the vitamin C diet and the vitamin C plus E diet than in those fed the control diet and the vitamin E diet. Vitamin E concentration in longissimus dorsi was higher(P<0.05) in the animals fed the diet supplemented with vitamin E and the diet supplemented with vitamin C plus E than in those fed the control diet and the vitamin C diet. Animals fed the diet supplemented with vitamin C was higher(P<0.05) in myristic acid, palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid and oleic acid in the longissimus dorsi than those fed the other diets, but linoleic acid in longissimus dorsi was higher(P<0.05) in the animals fed the vitamin E diet than those fed the other diets. However, saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid were not different between animals fed the control diet and vitamin-supplemented diets.

  • 지구 온난화에 따른 환경변화로 인하여 최근 10년('02~'11)간 여름의 일수는 4일, 겨울 일수는 16일 각각 증가하였다. 현재 육계사 내의 고밀도 밀집사육으로 인하여 고온스트레스로 하절기 육계의 폐사율이 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 2016년 폭염으로 닭 406.1천수, 오리 15.7천수, 메추리 70천수, 돼지 8천수가 폐사하였다. 이에 혹서기 가축이 약430만수가 폐사하였으며 피해 보상금액 128억원 소요되었다. 본 연구에서는 하절기 고온스트레스 경감과 폐사율 저감을 위해 계사 냉난방 공조와 냉온 음용수 급수를 병행할 수 있는 고효율 환경 개선 시스템을 개발하여 고온스트레스 저감 및 생산성 향상에 목적이 있다. 계사 냉난방 공조 및 냉온음용수 급수 병행 시스템 설계요인을 분석하고 냉난방 공조부하, 냉온수 생산 부하를 고려한 시스템 용량 산정하고 히트펌프, 축열조, 냉난방 및 냉온수 분배장치 등 구성요소로서 공조 및 냉온음용수 급수시스템을 설치하였다. 시스템 용량은 공기-물 히트펌프(10kW,1대), 축열조(10톤), 음용수조(2톤), 열교환기(열교환량,5만kcal/h), 물순환펌프(250W,2대) 및 팬코일유닛(1만kcal/h,4대)으로 시스템 모니터링 및 제어 시스템 개발하여 계사 내 환경, 시스템 성능에 대한 실시간 모니터링을 통하여 저장하였다. 조사항목으로 위치별 온습도, 체중, 사료섭취량, 페사율 등을 조사 분석하였다. 연구결과 계사의 내부온도는 시험구에서는 평균 $25.3^{\circ}C$를 나타내었고 대조구에서는 평균 $28.1^{\circ}C$로서 $2.8^{\circ}C$ 높게 나타났으나 상대습도는 시험구 76.2%, 대조구 75.0%로 큰 차이가 없었다. 냉수급여에 따른 계사 높이별 내부온도는 상하의 온도차가 $4.5^{\circ}C$로 크게 차이가 났다. 육계의 음수량은 혹서기 냉수를 급여한 시험구에서 일일 23.2L, 대조구에서는 21.5L를 섭취하였다. 일일 사료섭취량은 냉수를 급여한 시험구에서 937g, 대조구에서는 725g을 섭취하였다. 사료섭취량은 냉수를 급여한 시험구가 212g 많이 섭취하였으며 사료요구율은 시험구는 1.86, 대조구는 1.91로서 시험구가 낮게 나타났다. 체중은 냉수를 급여한 시험구가 359g 많았으며 증체량은 냉수를 급여한 시험구에서 495g, 대조구에서는 392g으로 나타났다. 폐사율은 냉수를 급여한 시험구에서 84%가 폐사율을 줄일 수 있었다.

Effects of Feeding Time and Frequency on the Performances of Broiler Breeder Hens (사료의 급여시간 및 급여회수가 육용종계의 산란능력에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to study the effects of feeding time (08:00 and 14:00 hours) and frequency (once a day, twice a day and once every other day) on the performances of broiler breeder hens, two experiments were conducted with 1, 248 hens of Maniker strain during 24-2 weeks (Experiment 1) and 42-60 weeks (Experiment 2) of age. The results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. No significant differences were observed in hen-day egg production and feed conversion rate between feeding times or among feeding frequencies through the entire experimental period. 2. Mean egg weight during the age of 24-42 weeks was significantly increased by feeding in the afternoon (p<0.01). But it was not significantly affected by feeding time or frequency during 42-60 weeks of age. 3. Fertility and hatchability of eggs at 36 weeks and 60 weeks of age were not significantly different among treatments. 4. By feeding in the afternoon egg breaking strength at 60 weeks of age was significantly improved (p<0.05), but not at 36 weeks of age. 5. In diurnal distribution of egg production, hens fed in the afternoon produced more eggs in the afternoon than hens fed during the morning (p<0.01).

Study on Intestinal Viability and Optimum Feeding Method of Lactobacillus in Broiler Chickens (육계에 대한 유산균의 장내 생존성 및 적정 급여방법에 대한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to prove the optimum feeding method of Lactobacillus in broiler chickens by investigating the intestinal viability of ingested Lactobacillus and the effect of feeding levels and frequency of Lactobacillus on growth performance in broiler chickens. In experiment 1, A total of one hundred, 5 weeks old male broiler chickens(Abor Acre) were fed Lactobacillus reuteri avibro2 expressed green fluorescent protein(GFP) at 104cfu/g diet to investigate the retention time of ingested Lactobacillus in the intestine for 1 day. The percentage of Lactobacillus expressed GFP in intestinal contents was 26% at 1 day after fed Lactobacillus expressed GFP. The percentage of Lactobacillus expressed GFP in intestinal contents was decreased in length of time. In experiment 2, A total of four hundred eighty, 1-d-old male broiler chicks(Abor Acre) were randomly divided into 4 groups with 4 replicates of 30 birds each to prove the optimum feeding level of Lactobacillus. The treatments were control(free antibiotics), Lactobacillus reuteri avibro2 5.0×10cfu/mL, 5.0×103cfu/mL, and 5.0×105cfu/mL. The final body weight and body wight gain of Lactobacillus reuteri avibro2 5.0×103cfu/mL were the highest in all groups(P<0.05). Feed conversion ratio was not significantly difference among the groups. The number of intestinal lactic acid bacteria in Lactobacillus treated groups tended to be improved or significantly increased as compared to that of control(P<0.05). Protein and fat digestibility in Lactobacillus 5.0×103cfu/mL and 5.0×105cfu/mL treated groups were significantly improved(P<0.05). No significant differences were observed on the availability of dry matter and crude ash in Lactobacillus treatments compared to those of control. In experiment 3, A total of six hundred 1-d-old male broiler chicks(Abor Acre) were randomly divided into 4 groups with 4 replicates of 30 birds each and were fed Lactobacillus reuteri avibro2 at intervals of 1, 2, 3, and 5 day for five weeks. Feeding level of Lactobacillus was 5.0×103cfu/mL The final body weight and body wight gain of Lactobacillus reuteri avibro2 5.0×103cfu/mL were the highest in all groups(P<0.05). The final body weight and body weight gain were significantly increased, when Lactobacillus was fed at intervals of 1 days, or 2 days. There were no significant differences in feed intake and feed conversion ratio among the all groups. The number of intestinal lactic acid bacteria in Lactobacillus treated groups tended to be improved or significantly increased as compared to that of control(P<0.05). No significant differences were observed on the number of coliform bacteria and Salmonella of ileum and cecum. Consequently, supplemental Lactobacillus influenced positive effects on the growth performance, nutrient availability and intestinal microflora. The optimum feeding level of Lactobacillus was 5.0×103cfu/mL, and the constant feeding of Lactobacillus was effective.

Effects of Microbial feed Additive and vitamin-C as an Alternative to Antibiotic on Growth Performances and Carcass Characteristics of Meat Cows (항생제 대체제로서 미생물배양액 및 vitamin-C 급여가 육우의 증체 및 도체형질에 미치는 영향)

  • Twenty four Holstein steers (average body weight $714{\pm}13.60kg$) were used in this experiment to determine the effect of supplementing of microbial culture and coated vitamin-C on growth performances and carcass characteristics in finishing Holstein steers. Holstein steers were randomly assigned to feeding groups of control group (Con, 12 kg of basal diet/head/day), microbial culture group (MC, 12 kg of basal diet + 30 g of microbial culture/head/day) and coated vitamin-C group (CVC, 12 kg of basal diet + 10 g of coated vitamin-C/head/day). MC and CVC groups were higher in ADG compared to control (P<0.05). FCR was also lower in MC and CVC groups than control group (P<0.05). Back fat thickness, rib-eye area, marbling score, meat color and yield index were not changed by supplementing microbial culture and coated vitamin-C. MC group was higher for maturity compared to control and CVC group (P<0.05). CVC group was higher for fat color compared to control and MC group (P<0.05). Based on the results obtained from the current study, supplementation of microbial culture and coated vitamin-C as an alternative to antibiotic might increase growth performances and enhance carcass characteristics in finishing Holstein steers. However, more studies are needed to find out the optimum supplementing period of microbial culture or coated vitamin-C for high quality meat production from Holstein steers.

Effects of fermented milk substituted for creep feed on growth performance, diarrhea score and blood profiles in lactating piglets (포유자돈에 있어서 포유자돈용 발효유의 급여가 생산성, 혈액특성, 및 설사지수에 미치는 영향)

  • In the present study, offsprings of 14 sows were used to evaluate the effect of fermented milk substituted for creep feed to analyze its effect on growth performance, diarrhea score and blood profiles. The piglets of sows were randomly allocated into 1 of 2 treatments (1 treatment separated piglets of 7 sows). The dietary treatments includes: CF (creep feed) and FM (fermented milk). The CP and FM diets were given from 3 d after piglets were born to the day of weaning (21 d after piglets were born). No significant difference (P>0.05) were observed in number of born piglets, weaning pigs, survival rate, body weight of piglets at d 0, 7, 14, and 21, ADG and ADFI. At d 21, piglets fed with CP had a higher (P<0.05) IgG compared with piglets fed with FM. No significant difference (P>0.05) was observed in WBC among the treatments at d 21. At d 6, piglets fed with CP had a lower (P<0.05) number of diarrhea piglets compared to piglets fed with FM. In conclusion, FM substituted for CP had no adverse effect on growth performance in lactating piglets.

Effects of Bio-Ion Water on Growth Performance, Blood Characteristics and Meat Quality in Growing and Finishing Pigs (Bio 이온수 급여가 비육돈의 성장, 혈액성상 및 육질 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of bio-ion water on growth performance, blood characteristics and meat quality in pigs. Ninety nine crossbreed pigs $(Landrace{\times}Yorkshire{\times}Duroc)$ were randomly allotted to three treatments; CON (basal diet), T1 (basal diet with bio ion water from growing period), T2 (basal diet with bio ion water from finishing period). There were no significant differences in growth performance and carcass characteristics of pigs among treatments. The red blood cell and white blood cell were significantly higher (P<0.05) in diet added with bio ion water than the control. Proximate analysis (%), meat color, pH, drip loss (%), cooking loss (%) and shear force $(kg/cm^{2})$ were not significantly different (P>0.05) among treatments. The treatment 1 had lower saturated fatty acid (SFA) to unsaturated fatty acid ratio, but higher UFA concentration than those of control. The aroma of cooked meat in T1 was higher than other treatments. Thereby, overall acceptability sensory score of cooked meat in T1 tended to be higher than other treatments.

Effects of Bamboo Charcoal and Bamboo Leaf Supplementation on Performance and Meat Quality in Chickens (대나무 숯과 대나무 잎의 급여가 육계의 생산성과 육질에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with bamboo charcoal (BC) and bamboo leaf (BL) on growth performance, feed intake, feed conversion efficiency, and meat quality in broiler chickens. Broiler chickens were fed for 30 days with a diet containing 0.5% bamboo charcoal or bamboo leaf. The results showed that the mortality rate during the study period was slightly lower in the BC and BL groups than the control group, while terminal weight and weight gain were significantly higher in the BC and BL groups than the control group. Dietary supplementation with BC or BL also improved feed conversion rate compared to chickens in the control group. Shear force was significantly lower in the BC and BL groups than that of the control group. The fat content of chickens fed with BC tended to decrease, while the ratio of unsaturated fat acid of chickens fed with BC or BL tended to increase, although without a statistically significant difference. Sensory evaluation revealed that overall acceptability was slightly higher in the BC and BL groups than the control group. There was no statistically significant change in the hematology and serum biochemistry parameters, compared with the control group in any group tested. The results of this experiment indicated that dietary supplementation with BC and BL may improve growth performance, feed conversion efficiency, and meat quality in broiler chickens.

Quality Properties of Pork Fed with Glucosamine Derivatives (GD) as Dietary Supplementation (글루코사민 유도체(GD) 급여 돈육의 육질 특성)

  • The feeding group, composed of weaning pigs fed 3 mL of glucosamine derivatives, was compared for the carcass and quality characteristics with the unfeeding control group for 25∼70 days since they were born. The results were as follows; There were no significant differences in carcass weight and back-fat thickness between the feeding group and the unfeeding group although the feeding group had low ranges of standard error when compared to the control. Feeding group had higher incidence frequencies of A grade (42.7%) than the control (29.2%). The feeding group and unfeeding group had no significant differences in meat color, cooking loss, WBS, pH, WHC and purge loss. Results from this study showed that feeding GD had effect on the decrease the market weight and production of consist carcass weight, however, the feeding GD had no effect on pork quality during rearing times after weaning.

셀레늄 급여원에 따른 쇠고기의 육색 안정성 비교 연구

  • 유기셀레늄급원을 달리하여 쇠고기 육색 안정성에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. Myoglobin의 함량은 대조구와 시험구에서 각각 6.39%, 14.18%로 대조구가 시험구에 비하여 낮은 결과를 보였으며, Oxy-Myoglobin의 함량은 반대로 대조구 89.07%, 시험구 83.47%로 시험구가 대조구에 비하여 낮은 결과를 보였다(p<0.05). 그러나 Met-myoglobin 함량은 대조구가 4.56%이였고 시험구가 2.35%로 대조구가 높은 결과를 보였다. 보다 정확한 결과를 평가하기 위해서는 시료를 Met화 시킨 후 측정해 볼 필요성이 대두되어 도축후 $4^{\circ}C$에서 14일 및 21일간 숙성한 시료를 $20^{\circ}C$에서 48시간 산화시킨 후 측정 육색소 화학적 조성을 비교한 결과, 육색소 화학적 조성을 비교한 결과로 Myoglobin 함량은 저장 14일차와 21일차에서 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았으나, Oxy- myoglobin은 저장 14일차와 21일차 모두 유기셀레늄 강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구가 대조구와 무기셀레늄 급여구에 비하여 높은 결과를 보였다. Met-myoglobin함량에 있어서는 대조구와 무기셀레늄구가 유기 셀레늄구와 유기셀레늄강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구에 비하여 높은 결과를 보였다(p<0.05). 유기셀레늄 강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구가 대조구나 유기셀레늄구에 비하여 Oxy-myoglobin production이 유의적으로 높았으며, Met-myoglobin Activity는 유기 셀레늄 급여구가 가장 높았으며, 그 다음으로는 유기셀레늄강화 버섯폐배지 급여구가 높았다(p<0.05). 이러한 결과는 소매상품 으로 제조 판매시 Oxy-Mb이 Met-Mb으로의 전환을 억제하여 이상적인 육색을 장시간 유지할 수있을 것으로 판단된다.조직감과 염도에서 매우 좋게 평가되었다. 이러한 결과는 제조 가능한 식염첨가최저수준은 0.5%이상임을 보여주었다. 따라서 로인 햄의 제조에 필요로 되는 식염의 첨가량은 0.5${\sim}$1.5% 범위로 평가된다. 차후의 연구로는 저염 로인 햄의 경우 품질의 저하를 보완할 수 있는 기능성 첨가물이나 가공기법이 필요할 것으로 보인다.97.22로 가장 낮았고, 기타 처리구는 1.19${\sim}$1.59의 처리를 보이고 있는데 비하여, 대조구(100) 대비 증체율에서는 생봉독 처리 2구에서 103.30으로 3.30%가 높았다.양성이 무엇보다 중요하다. 특히 지역자원 활용 소스 중심의 문화관린 산업의 seeds 발굴과 향토상품의 상품화와 네트워크 조직망 구축을 위한 지역중심의 복합 생활문화 공간이 필요할 것이며, 이를 촉진키 위한 mentor academy시스템 접근을 통해 점점 고령화되어 가고 있는 재래시장에 대해 차별적 특성이 반영된 종합적이고 체계적 접근 방법연구가 필요하다./TEX> 자체기술개발, 선진기술 도입, 산업간 및 산업내 기술확산, 국제기술협력 ${\rightarrow}$ 기술혁신의 촉진 ${\rightarrow}$ 총요소생산성과 기업경쟁력(자원 및 역량, 프로세스 경쟁력, 품질경쟁력, 시장경쟁력, 고객성과, 시장성과, 재무성과)의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 가격경쟁력(임금, 금리, 물류비용, 환율 등)과 비(非)가격경쟁력(디자인, 에프터서비스, 품질, 운송 등)의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 국가경쟁력의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 국제수지 흑자 ${\rightarrow}$ 성장 ${\rightarrow}$ 물가 및
