The purpose of this study is to categorize and analyze the communication competency of engineering undergraduates and to develop educational content in order to improve that. In this study, communication competency of engineering undergraduates was categorized into three areas: critical thinking, scientific communication, and media literacy. As a means to improve communication competency, the experience with and perception of writing were investigated. The communication competency of undergraduates needs to be improved overall. There is a high need for writing programs that enhance critical thinking oriented around practice. It suggests flipped learning based on smart education, E-community, problem-solving programs based on action learning, cooperative learning programs, reflection journals & portfolio, and collaborative writing programs as educational content. The results of this study can be used as basic data to design competency-based communication curriculum and practical applications for engineering undergraduates.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect and possibility of instructional design conducted by integrating writing education and community service activities based on service learning. Service learning is a teaching method that encourages students to improve learning and self-development through experience by applying the knowledge they have learned in college to the real life of the community. After the course was operated, the effectiveness of the teaching method investigated and analyzed for the participating university students, beneficiaries of service, and staffs of service organization. As a result of the study, meaningful results in cognitive, affective, and social aspects were presented for university students, and positive effects and high satisfaction were confirmed for beneficiaries of service and staffs. As a teaching methord that considers the growth and development of students from various angles. the quantitative and qualitative performance analysis and research of service learning should be conducted continuously.

In the previous study on the effectiveness of SW education, the educational goals were mainly focused on developing computational thinking ability and researching changes in computational thinking ability. But the word "computational thinking" is difficult to the public. Also the definition of computational thinking is varies from scholar to scholar. Therefore, this study aims to inform the public of the excellence and effectiveness of SW education through the change of "writing ability" which is more familiar to us. To achieve this goal, 10 lectures of SW training materials were produced and conducted in elementary science gifted class. As a result, significant changes have been made in the fluency and quality of writing skills, proving that SW training improves students' writing skills. Through this, we confirmed the visible results through SW education, which can be called justification of SW education. Furthermore, it is expected that various educational attempts will be developed using SW in other subjects.

Peer assessment in educational setting, refers to activities in which students provide grades or comments on other students' accomplishments such as writing, presentation, or performances. In case of writing, peer assessment can allow instructors to give out more writing assignments, which were often avoided because of the burden of grading. Moreover, grading other students' writing can enhance learning by having students participate in the assessment process. This review will introduce major peer assessment systems and results from empirical studies on peer assessment, examine obstacles to its more wide-spread use, and discuss topics for further research. We hope this paper will facilitate further studies and use of peer assessment in actual educational settings, and eventually lead to many changes in assessment and teaching in Korea.

최근 인터넷을 통한 언어 교육 연구에 관심이 고조되면서 다양한 언어 학습 홈페이지가 등장하였다. 이 논문은 국어 작문 학습을 목표로 본 연구실에서 개발한 '바른 우리글 쓰기' 학습시스템에 대해 다룬다. 본 학습 시스템은 초보자에서 전문가에 이르는 학습자를 대상으로 우리말로 글을 쓸 때 필요한 우리말 지식을 체계적으로 학습하도록 하거나 학습자가 직접 쓴 문장에서 스스로 오류를 찾아 분석하고 그에 따른 설명 및 글쓰기 규칙을 더 상세하게 알 수 있도록 설계하였다. 학습시스템의 내부 구조를 효율적으로 구성하기 위해 우리말 글과 관련 있는 자료를 수집하여 각각 지식베이스화하고, 학습 내용을 서로 체계적으로 연결하기 위해 우리나라 사람이 자주 틀리는 오류를 중심으로 해당 글쓰기 규칙과 참고 자료와 용례를 하이퍼텍스트화하였다. 이 시스템은 특히 학습 모형에 따라 학습 자료를 재구성할 수 있도록 지식베이스와 모형을 독립하였다. 이와 같이 학습 자료를 풍부하게 준비하고 학습 내용을 구성하는 일 만큼이나 중요한 과제는 학습자의 수준에 맞춰 학습 줄거리를 구성하는 작업이다. 이 시스템에서도 학습자의 특성을 살릴 수 있도록 연역적 학습 모형과 귀납적 학습 모형을 시도하였지만 더 세분화된 학습 줄거리 구성에 대한 연구가 있어야 한다. 따라서 학습자의 학습 동기를 유발할 수 있는 학습 내용과 적절한 기술이 조화를 이룬 홈페이지를 만드는 일이 향후 우리가 지향할 연구 과제이다.

This is the paper on the descriptive perspective and writing method in Yeheon(旅軒)'s Piranrok(避亂錄). Piranrok was Yeheon's diary which was written during Japanese invasions of Korea. Many intellectual recorded their diaries during the war. Yeheon's Piranrok was a typical example among war journals. I tried to take view of the descriptive perspective and writing method in Yeheon's Piranrok. First, sourceful introspection was distinct characteristic in the descriptive perspective. Yeheon penetrated into a chaotic state of affairs during Japanese invasions of Korea. And Yeheon had reflective consciousness about self-existence. He contemplated his existence through diary writing. I had a task to study the writing methods in Yeheon's diary. One of the distinct characteristic in writing methods was to increase specific gravity of discussion. Yeheon advocated strongly his opinion and position about cause of war, war responsibility, morality, fortification and righteous army. Yeheon made the best use of communication method and catechetic method. He answered his own questions about the enter and retirement of public office. He expressed his worry and conflict through various techniques of expression. I have a task to study the diary in Chosun dynasty. I believe that analyzing characteristics of Yeheon's diary can contribute to understanding the literature history of diaries in Chosun dynasty.

The purpose of the study was to describe the operating status of "Logic and Writing in Home Economics Education(HEE)" course and the students' perception about the course. For this study, the syllabuses of "Logic and Writing" course in HE education department were reviewed. The survey method was used in this descriptive study. Respondents in this study were 116 students taking the "Logic and Writing in Home Economics Education" course. Questionnaires from the students were collected through on-line and off-line mail. The results of the study were as the follows: First, goals of the "Logic and Writing in HE Education" course were as the follows in order: to enhance writing skill about various subjects related to Home Economics; to foster HE teachers' professionalism through persuasive power logically; to foster writing skill logically; to prepare HE teacher recruitment exam; and to foster teaching skills to enhance students' writing. The student evaluation methods in the course were mainly attendance, examination, tasks, discussion and presentation, and class participation. Second, degree of satisfaction of students taking the course was higher than average. The student respondents perceived that the course was helpful to improve their logical thinking and critical analytical skill, writing skill related to HE education and education, ability to express one's opinion clearly and exactly, understanding of the fundamental concept of logic and the structure and method of the essay, comprehensive understanding of HE education, and ability to solve the problems specifically. However, they responded that it was difficult to practice writing, to discuss and debate frequently, to follow uncertain assessment criteria, and to present frequently. They wanted the instructor to give the feedback more frequently.

본 논문에서는 컴퓨팅 사고력을 향상시키는 방안에 대한 교사들의 강의안에 대한 여러 가지 사례를 분석하였다. 연수에 참여한 정보 컴퓨터(특수 정보 컴퓨터 7명 포함) 교사 37명을 대상으로 실제 학교 현장에서 학생들을 대상으로 컴퓨팅 사고력을 향상시키는 여러 가지 방안을 제시한 후, 산출물을 분석하였다. 산출물 분석 결과 댄스 활동과 같은 학생들이 재미있어 하는 분야를 발굴하는 방법, 글쓰기와 같은 컴퓨터와 상관없는 일상생활의 사례를 활용하여 글쓰기 대회에 입상하는 사례, 수학여행 계획을 여러 학생이 함께 참여하여 완성하는 방법 등을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 여러 가지 사례들을 소개하고 사례들에서 컴퓨팅 사고력을 향상시키는 방안의 공통적인 요인을 도출하여 보고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of research project activities using the science writing heuristic on science inquiry abilities and attitudes toward science in high school students. For this purpose, we conducted the research project activities using the science writing heuristic consisting of questioning, experimental design, observation, argument and evidence, reading, and reflection steps for 73 students of the second year of science core course in high school in Jeonnam. In order to analyze the effects of the program, we surveyed the scientific inquiry ability and attitude toward science, investigated the perception of the research project class applying science writing heuristic, and conducted interviews when there was difficulty in interpreting the results. And the results of this study are as follows. First, among the science inquiry abilities, the score of Reasoning, Hypothesis setting, Finding variables, Operational definition, Experimental design, Graphing and data interpretation, Generalization was significantly improved statistically (p<.05), but the score of Expectation was not statistically significant (p>.05). Second, among the attitudes toward science, the score of 'Leisure interest in science', 'Enjoyment of science lessons', 'Career interest in science' was significantly improved statistically (p<.05). And the score of 'Attitude to scientific inquiry' decreased but it's not significant statistically. The high school research project applying science writing heuristic had a positive effect on scientific inquiry ability and scientific attitude but it could be burden to students because it is led by students in a form different from general science class for a long time. And so continuous study on research project that minimize these disadvantages and maximize their merits is needed.
