  • The paper explores the relationship among paradigms, ecosystem which need to establish broadcasting, information and communications industry as the core of national competitiveness in the digital convergence era, and proposes the future progressing strategies and policies directions that consider environmental factors which all mass media converged on Internet. This paper makes an attempt to contribute innovative & integrated perspectives in the industry.

  • 국내 섬유산업은 해외로부터의 저가 섬유제품이 대량으로 유입되는 속에서도 산업전반에 꾸준히 고부가 가치화를 지향하고 있다. 소비자의 요구에 부응하여 섬유소재에도 다양한 신개념과 이를 충족시킬 수 있는 기술이 요구되고 있으며, 그 가운데 하나의 영역을 구축해 나가고 있는 분야가 면 리플가공과 같은 표면 형태 가공이며, 최근 들어 폴리에스테르 입체(3D)가공제의 개발 및 가공 방법도 이런 흐름에 부응하여 업계에서 절실한 개발을 요구하고 있는 분야 중 하나이다. 현재 까지 폴리에스테르 섬유의 입체가공 기술은 엠보싱무늬를 조각한 금속 롤러에 열을 가하여 폴리에스터 직물에 찍는 방법으로 원단 표면의 입체적인 무늬를 만들어 내는 방법이 대부분이다. 최근 면 리플가공과 같은 표면 형태 가공이 섬유소재의 새로운 트랜드로 나타나면서 폴리에스테르와 같은 합성섬유에서도 이러한 소재의 질감을 얻고자 많은 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 5종의 폴리에스테르의 입체가공용 바인더를 포뮬레이션하여 현재 시장성이 있는 폴리에스테르 아이템 5종에 대한 입체가공효과 및 적용성을 고찰하였다. 합성 포뮬레이션 된 바인더는 수용성으로 만들어졌으며, 입체가공 전 후의 원단 외관, 처리 후 수세의 용이성 및 무늬의 입체성효과 등을 확인하였으며, 가공 전후의 원단 물성평가 연구도 동시 진행하였다. 폴리에스테르 섬유의 새로운 패션 소재로의 응용에 초점을 두고 시장의 수요가 폭발되고 있는 폴리에스테르 섬유 및 나일론 등 합성섬유의 3차원 입체 가공(디보싱) 제품을 생산할 수 있는 가공제 및 가공방법의 개발은 신규시장 창출에 큰 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 다양한 날염업체의 수요를 충족시키고, 섬유산업의 글로벌화에 대응하여 훈련된 영업 인력과 E-commerce를 통한 외산 제품과의 경쟁력 확보로 신규시장 진입기회를 창출할 것으로 기대한다.

  • Coffee houses' key factors to succeed in the market are not only a basic element -the taste of coffees- but also brand image, satisfaction and consumer fidelity that food service industries take into account overall. The goal of this study is to find out the relations among brand image, brand attitude and fidelity. To this end, coffee was selected among other products due to its characteristic that the difference of its quality between brands is not very noticeable. Through an analysis of each coffee house's brand image in this saturated coffee market, the influence of brand image on consumers' preference was found out. In this process, not only a strategy for each coffee house's growth and development but also the relations between brand image, brand attitude and brand fidelity would be researched, resulting in a creation of more systematic strategies.

  • The area of business applications in the internet are extended enormously in result of fast development of computing and communication technologies, increase of internet use, and use of intranet/extranet in enterprise information system. Widely spread the use of the internet, there are various applications for Business to Business (B to B) or Business to Customer(B to C) model that are based on the intranet or extranet. This paper designed and implemented the Web-based Electronic Bidding System for Business to Business (B to B) model. The technical issues of electronic bidding system in the internet are involved in the connection between web client and server, electronic data interchange for the contract document, and security solution during the bidding and contracting processes. The web-based electronic bidding system in this paper is implemented using Java applet and servlet as a connection interface for web client and sewer, XML/EDI-based documents for a bid and a contract, and bidding server and notary server for enhancing the security using PKI(Public Key Infrastructure)-based public key cryptography, digital signature and Certification Authority (CA).

Making Consumer to Buy Funds: Factor Portfolio in Global Stock Distribution Market (일반 소비자의 공모펀드 구매유인 제고 방안: 글로벌 주식유통시장에서 요인포트폴리오 활용)

  • Purpose - We investigate how to increase consumer incentives to buy public offering funds, resulting in activating the public offering fund market. In particular, this study aims to find ways to expand diversity and to improve efficiency of public offering fund. The public fund market of Korea has been stagnant in recent years. However, the public offering fund market plays a very significant role in terms of consumer welfare. Since only a few wealthy investors can participate in the private equity market, the stagnation in the public offering fund market usually reduces the opportunity of consumer's buying funds thus ultimately affecting their future wealth. Research design, data, and methodology - To attain our purpose, the 'factor-based portfolio strategy' has been considered. It is an alternative portfolio strategy, which composites the advantages of the passive management and active management. For our empirical anaylsis, we used global stock distribution market data over the period of 1991 and 2016. Then we constructed portfolios based on firm-size, firm-value, and momentum. Finally, a regression model was set, then hypotheses were tested, analyzing the performances. Results - First, among the 15 factor-based portfolios of global, Europe, Asia-Pacific(ex Japan), US and Japan, in eight portfolios, positive excess returns are observed at 5% significance level. Further, there is another portfolio with positive excess return at 10% significance level. Second, most of the portfolios with significant excess performance show positive relationship with the market portfolio. However, the firm-value based portfolio in Asia-Pacific region shows no relationship, and the firm-value based portfolio in US shows negative relationship. Third, we confirmed that the two firm-value factor portfolios in Asia-Pacific region and US, not having positive relationship with market portfolio, provide significant excess returns. Conclusions - In this paper, we provide empirical evidences supporting that the factor-based portfolios expand the diversity of funds and improve the efficiency of investment performance. However, there is no guarantee that the efficiency will continue in the future. In addition, various constraints and costs must be considered. Nevertheless, our novel findings in the advanced financial market such as US and Asia-Pacific are very interesting and offers important implications.

  • According to recent statistics on new consumer market trends, 'alone consumption' is at the center. This study focuses on the social big data that attracts the public's opinions in that it is important for a certain social trend to comprehensively understand the various fields such as society, locality, culture, marketing, economics, and psychology that form the background for it. Therefore, we set up the linkage of 'solo consumption' and conducted research on new consumer market trends using Opinion Analisys. As a result of this trend analysis, representative keywords such as 'honbab', 'honsul' and 'honyoeng' were derived and analyzed the trend of new consumer market using this data. Alone consumption is an inevitable new consumption trend caused by demographic change after the global economic crisis. The importance as a trend reflecting this will be further strengthened. Trend analysis by social big data will help scientific and systematic business distribution strategies and planning to help make new and valuable decisions and decisions about new consumer markets.

Comparative Study on the Definitions of "Home Medical Device" in Korea and in the Global Market (세계 시장과 한국에서의 "가정용 의료기기" 정의에 대한 비교연구)

  • There is an increasing trend of medical devices and products moving out of hospitals and clinics into community and residual homes for use by the general public due to both the technological developments and demographic changes resulted from the increased life expectancy and decreased birth rate. In Korea, however, the definition of "home medical device" is rather ambiguous and we thus compared the definition of the term used in the global market with that in Korea. FDA definition of "home medical device" includes the devices intended for use in both professional healthcare facilities and home. The KFDA, does not provide the definition for the "home medical device"and the definition has only been inferred from the results of consumer surveys. With a paradigm shift in advent of u-healthcare era, the definition of "home medical device" in Korea should include the medical devices that could be used both at hospitals and at home.

  • Nowadays, in Korea, the number of campers is increased over 5 million. Many Korean camping brands have excellent qualities however, a lot of times weak brand identities to be globally known. The purpose of this study is to provide helpful sources to have strong brand identities, add more values based on related word research from big data and market research. The data is to be analysed by sensible & cognitive approaches. The keywords for the sensible research are 'camping, camp, camping brand, and camping design'. Then 17 representative oversea brands and 10 Korean brands were analysed for the market researches. From related word research from big data, we can find out the thinking process of potential consumers, how people communicates to exchange information, and what can be the sources to add brand values. Also from the market researches, we were able to find that successful brands have distinctive brand identities, stories, logos with representable colors and they continuous produce signature designs and own way of color matching.

Customer Satisfaction Analysis for Global Cosmetic Brands: Text-mining Based Online Review Analysis (글로벌 화장품 브랜드의 소비자 만족도 분석: 텍스트마이닝 기반의 사용자 후기 분석을 중심으로)

  • Purpose: This study introduces a systematic framework to evaluate service satisfaction of cosmetic brands through online review analysis utilizing Text-Mining technique. Methods: The framework assumes that the service satisfaction is evaluated by positive comments from online reviews. That is, the service satisfaction of a cosmetic brand is evaluated higher as more positive opinions are commented in the online reviews. This study focuses on two approaches. First, it collects online review comments from the top 50 global cosmetic brands and evaluates customer service satisfaction for each cosmetic brands by applying Sentimental Analysis and Latent Dirichlet Allocation. Second, it analyzes the determinants that induce or influence service satisfaction and suggests the guidelines for cosmetic brands with low satisfaction to improve their service satisfaction. Results: For the satisfaction evaluation, online review data were extracted from the top 50 global cosmetic brands in the world based on 2018 sales announced by Brand Finance in the UK. As a result of the satisfaction analysis, it was found that overall there were more positive opinions than negative opinions and the averages for polarity, subjectivity, positive ratio, and negative ratio were calculated as 0.50, 0.76, 0.57, and 0.19, respectively. Polarity, subjectivity and positive ratio showed the opposite pattern to negative ratio, and although there was a slight difference in fluctuation range and ranking between them, the patterns are almost same. Conclusion: The usefulness of the proposed framework was verified through case study. Although some studies have suggested a method to analyze online reviews, they didn't deal with the satisfaction evaluation among competitors and cause analysis. This study is different from previous studies in that it evaluates service satisfaction from a relative point of view among cosmetic brands and analyze determinants.

Factors influencing online subscription for disposable consumer goods: A Behavioral Reasoning Theory Perspective (일회성 소비재의 구독서비스 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 행동추론이론을 중심으로)

  • As a recent global economic trend, the subscription economy is rapidly expanding along with the growth of non-face-to-face online shopping. This study tried to verify the factors influencing online subscription for disposable consumer goods through behavioral reasoning theory. 344 questionnaire responses were collected through a survey in Korea and empirical analysis was performed. As a result of the analysis, value of openness was found to have a positive effect on attitude, reason for adoption and reason against adoption. Reason for adoption showed a positive effect on attitude and adoption intention. Reason against adoption showed a negative effect on attitude but it has no impact on adoption intention. Attitude showed a positive effect on adoption intention. Finally price consciousness and quality barrier was found to the most important factors of reason for adoption and reason against adoption respectively. The results of this study can contribute to subscription companies establishing their marketing strategies. Future research can be conducted with various subscription products and additional variables.
