  • This study was function experiment or inspection of diagnosis x-ray unit at the hospital. It's how many changes tube voltage, tube current, DOSE value through the experiment depending on temperature increasing. The study want to know whether which parameter shown out of range or not how about image quality and so on. Increasing tube current and DOSE were not only too many radiation to the patient and radiation workers and make bad images but also the tube should be damaged by heat. This study was recommended proper exposure at intervals of seconds because passed inspection, reduced radiations for patient and the tube used long term. This results in the hospital's finances will be very helpful.

Comparison of Kinetic Variables and Muscle Activity of Ankle Joint During Walking in Subjects With and Without Diabetic Plantar Ulcers (보행 시 정상인과 당뇨병성 족부궤양 환자의 족관절 운동역학적 변수와 근활성도 비교)

  • 본 연구는 보행주기 동안 정상인과 당뇨병성 족부궤양 환자의 족관절 운동역학적 변수와 족관절 근육들의 근활성도에 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 당뇨병성 족부궤양이 있는 환자 9명(남자: 6명, 여자: 3명)과 성, 연령, 체중으로 짝짓기(matching)시킨 대조군 9명이었다. 3차원 동작분석기, 힘판, 표면 근전도를 이용하여, 보행주기 동안 족관절의 관절가동범위, 모멘트(moment), 일률(power), 그리고 내측가자미근, 전경골근, 비복근의 근수축 개시시간(onset time)과 종료시간(cessation time)을 측정하였다. 정상군과 비교하여 당뇨병성 족부궤양군의 보행속도는 느렸고, 입각기 기간이 길었으며, 족관절의 가동범위가 적었고, 족관절 최대 족저굴곡 모멘트와 일률이 정상군에서보다 유의하게 낮았다. 보행주기에서 당뇨병성 족부궤양군에서 내측 가자미근과 비복근의 근수축 개시시간은 유의하게 빨랐으며, 전경골근과 비복근의 근수축 종료시간은 유의하게 지연되었다. 당뇨병성 족부궤양 환자군의 족관절 근육에서 동시수축(co-contraction)이 증가되고, 보행속도가 느리며, 입각기 기간이 증가하였다. 이러한 보행특성의 차이는 족부 감각손실에 따른 보행의 안정성을 유지하기 위한 보행전략 때문으로 판단된다. 앞으로 이러한 비정상적인 보행특성이 당뇨병성 족부궤양에서 발생하는 비정상적인 족저부 압력분포과 족부궤양 발생과 어떤 관계가 있는지 알아보는 연구가 필요할 것이다.

Comparison of ROM and Muscle Activities According to the Skills of Surya Namaskara in Vinyasa Yoga (요가 수르야 나마스카 동작의 숙련도 차이에 따른 ROM과 근활성도 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate range of motion (ROM) and muscle activities according to the skills of Surya Namaskara in Vinyasa Yoga. Six females (skilled 2, unskilled 4) of university students participated in this experiment. The research factors were ROM and muscle activities for static poses on Surya Namaskara in Vinyasa Yoga. The six infrared cameras (Oqus 300, Qualisys Inc, Sweden) and Zero Wire EMG (Aurion, Italy) were used to acquire raw data, and the Qualisys Track Manager and Noraxon (MyoResearch XP Master Edition, USA) were used to process data. The %MVIC and ROM were analyzed with Visual 3D (C-Motion Inc, USA) and Noraxon. In conclusion, ROM and %MVIC between two groups were remarkable different according to the static poses of Yoga, therefore instructors have to provide step-by-step information that was suitable to themselves (ROM and EMG of poses).

  • This study conducted a comparative analysis of the contraction pattern of trunk and lower limbs muscles of handicapped children with brain lesions during the use of foam pad and air pad for fixing a standing table to the body for pediatric patients with brain lesions using a standing table product applied with a pneumatic air fitting system. There was a difference in the measurement of muscle strength activity by muscle in accordance with pad type (foam pad vs. air pad). A large difference was found with big movements (movements of eating), while a small difference was discovered with small movements (writing and reading movements). This was found to furnish a little more comfort to users compared with the existing foam pad during the use of a standing table product applied with a pneumatic air fitting system.

Effect of a Elderly Walker on Joint Kinematics and Muscle Activities of Lower Extremities Using a Human Model (인체 모델을 이용한 노인 보행기의 하지관절 기구학과 근활성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop a dynamic model of a human and to investigate the effect of a walker on an elderly subject's motions, such as sit-to-stand (STS) motion and normal gait, by using this model. A human model consisting of 15 segments and 14 joints was developed, embedded in $RecurDyn^{TM}$, and connected through a Simulink$^{(R)}$ interface with collected motion data. The model was validated by comparisons between joint kinematic results from inverse dynamics (Matlab$^{(R)}$-based in-house program) and from $RecurDyn^{TM}$ simulation during walking. The results indicate that the elderly walker induced a longer movement time in walking, such that the speed of joint flexion/extension was slower than that during a normal gait. The results showed that the muscle activities of parts of the ankle and hamstring were altered by use of the elderly walker. The technique used in this study could be very helpful in applications to biomechanical fields.

Comparative Evaluation of Electromyography Activity and User-perceived Level with Crutch Design Variations (목발 디자인에 따른 근육 활성도 및 사용자 인식 비교 연구)

  • In this study, three axillary crutches(Mobilegs, KM crutch, Pro In-motion) were tested with 12 healthy male subjects by measuring the EMG activity of the latissimus dorsi and gastrocnemius and the user-perceived levels focusing on the comfort and ease of use. The result showed that the EMG activity of the gastrocnemius was significantly reduced during ambulation using Mobilegs and Pro In-motion compared with the ambulation using KM crutch, a conventional crutch. However, no statistically significant difference was found for EMG activity of the latissimus dorsi. Subjects perceived the Mobilegs to be more comfortable and easy to use than the other crutches. Theses result may delivered mostly from the characteristics of spring-loaded axillary pad and ergonomic crutch handle. The results indicate that ambulation using the spring-loaded crutch is much easy with asking less exertion at gastrocnemius. In addition, the characteristics of crutch design, such as embedded spring, makes muscles to consume less energy. When the reasonable structure and form of the axillary pad and crutch handle are applied herein, the ambulation using the crutches are perceived to comfort.

  • 본 연구는 컴퓨터 작업시 머리자세가 상부 승모근의 근전도 활성도에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보기 위해 실시하였다. 대상자는 상지에 근골계질환이 없는 대학생 5명을 대상으로 하였으며, 표면근전도(MP100WS)를 이용하여 근 활성도를 측정하였다. 실험은 10분 동안 머리를 중립자세로 모니터를 보고 컴퓨터 작업을 수행하는 것과 문서걸이(copy holder)를 보기 위해 머리를 $45^{\circ}$ 회전하고 컴퓨터 작업을 하는 두 가지 조건을 $%RVC_{RMS}$를 이용하여 비교 분석하였다. 머리를 중립자세로 했을 때 평균 $%RVC_{RMS}$ 값이 높았으나 머리를 $45^{\circ}$ 회전하여 작업시에는 시간이 지남에 따라 $%RVC_{RMS}$가 지속적으로 증가함을 보여주었다. 따라서 컴퓨터 작업시 문서는 모니터로부터 가까이 하여 머리회전을 최소화시키는 것이 근육의 피로나 부작용을 줄일 수 있을 것이다.

A Comparative Study on Muscle Activity of Voita's Brust Zone Stimulation in Normal Adults and Kids (정상성인과 아동의 보이타의 가슴유발점 자극 시의 근활성도 비교)

  • This research was conducted for the normal adults and kids to know the abdominal muscle activities by stimulating Vojta's brust zone. It was conducted for 10 adults who were average 21.5 years old and 10 kids who were 12.1 years old and did it once. We used EMG to know the abdorminal muscle activities and we chose the research method 'independent t test'. Only two adults and kids among subjects have reactions and the others have no reactions. This research reveals that hypothesis, Vojta's brust zone stimulates abdominal activities, didn't coincide completely but we will have more exact results by researching other subjects and choosing proficient method several months, not once.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate electromyographic (EMG) activity of deep and superficial trunk muscles during trunk stabilization exercises with and without stabilization maneuvers. Methods: The relative muscle activity ratios and local muscle activities of 25 healthy males were measured using the 8 channel surface EMG system (Myosystem 1400A, Noraxon Inc., U.S.A). The surface EMG activities were tested during performing abdominal hollowing maneuver (AHM), abdominal bracing maneuver (ABM) and no stabilization maneuver (NSM) in random order. Data were analyzed using $1{\times}3$ repeated measures ANOVA. Results: During bridging exercises, the EMG activity ratio of transverse abdominis/internal oblique abdominis relative to rectus abdominis was significantly lower in NSM than in AHM and ABM. During bridging and kneeling exercises, the EMG activity ratio of multifidus relative to erector spinae was significantly higher in AHM than in NSM. Conclusion: The AHM can be clinically used by the physical therapist to activate selectively the trunk muscles when designing selective training programs for patients.

Protective Effects of Aged Ginger Extracts on Excessive Exercise-induced Stress (과도한 운동 스트레스에 대한 숙성생강 추출물의 방어효과)

  • Ginger roots are widely used as spices in various foods and herbal medicine due to its characteristic flavor and biological activity. In this study, the protective effect of aged ginger extracts against oxidative stress were investigated using L6 muscle cells. As the results, aged ginger extracts significantly inhibited oxidative stress induced muscle cell damage. The protective effect of aged ginger extracts was higher than non-aged ginger extract. Aged ginger extracts also inhibited the increase in LDH, lactate and GOT in the mouse blood induced by excessive running exercise. Therefore, aged ginger is considered to be effective for protecting excessive exercise stress.
