This study was conducted to identify the factors affecting sarcopenia in middle-aged and older women in Korea. This is a cross sectional study by using 5th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data. The data were analyzed by using the SPSS 26.0 program. The prevalence of sarcopenia was 10.8%. There were significant differences according to ASM, age, education, current job, marital status, perceived health status, energy intake, protein intake, BMI, body fat, alcohol drinking, menopause, central obesity, impaired fasting glucose and chronic disease. Woman with central obesity and osteoarthritis increased risk of sarcopenia each 4.15 times(p<.001), 3.06 times(p=.041) and energy intake decreased risk of sarcopenia 0.99 times(p=.043). In order to prevent and manage sarcopenia, strategies for managing central obesity and osteoarthritis in mddile-aged and older woman and adequate food intake are needed.

Poststernotomy mediastinitis is a rare but potentially life-threatening complication of cardiac surgery. Up to present, poststernotomy wound infection has been treated by closure of wound directly or by use of myocutaneous flaps after irrigation and debridement of wound. We describe a new treatment of poststemotomy wound infection by using the vacuum-assisted closure technique. This technique was successfully applied in 3 patients with poststernotomy wound infection and mediastinitis, and a healed sternotomy wound could be achieved using this new technique.

Parkinson's disease is a neurological disorder characterized by tremor, bradykinesia, akinesia, postural instability, and muscular rigidity, which is caused by the depletion of neurotransmitters such as dopamine. Cooperative dental treatment is more challenging because of tremor of Parkinson's disease. In this case, a 47-year-old Parkinson's disease patient with chronic periodontitis was treated with full-mouth rehabilitation using conventional fixed prostheses and implant fixed partial denture, which attained satisfactory outcomes functionally and esthetically. Short term periodic follow-ups will be needed with consideration for the characteristics of Parkinson's disease such as decreased manual dexterity.

Intraluminal duodenal diverticulum (IDD) is a rare congenital abnormality, consisting of a saclike mucosal lesion in the duodenum. Cases of IDD can present with gastrointestinal bleeding, duodenal obstruction, or pancreatitis. Here, we report a rare case of a 25-year-old female presenting with IDD complicated by duodeno-duodenal intussusception and recurrent pancreatitis. The diagnosis was based on findings from radiologic examinations (CT and MRI), upper gastrointestinal series (barium swallow), and gastroduodenofiberscopy. Laparoscopic excision of the presumed duodenal duplication was performed. The subsequent histopathologic evaluation of the excised sac revealed normal mucosa on both sides, but the absence of a proper muscle layer confirmed the diagnosis of IDD. Radiologic detection of a saccular structure in the second portion of the duodenum can indicate IDD with duodeno-duodenal intussusception as the lead point.

Chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is a well-known complication of allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT) and has heterogeneous manifestations, with multi-organ involvement. Recently, polymyositis (PM) was reported to be a rare manifestation of chronic GVHD. Here, we report a 30-year-old woman who was diagnosed with PM after allogeneic BMT.

Harmonic Scalpel(Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Cincinnati, OH) has many advantages including no muscular stimulation, low heat, less smoke, easy hemostasis using ultrasound and good operation field. In patient with constrictive pericarditis, Harmonic Scalpel was beneficial during pericardiectomy.

The underlying mechanism by which the reflux of gastric juice elicits oesophagitis remaind unclear. To investigate inflammatory response to HCI in tissue of esophagus and lower esophageal sphincter experimental esophagitis was elicited by perfusion of 0.1 N HCI in cats. There was no difference in phospholipase $A_2$ (PLA$_2$) activity of tissue between control and esophagitis. Myeloperoxidase activity in esophagitis was significantly greater than that of control. However histamine content in esophageal mucosa of esophagitis was significantly smaller than that of control. These finding suggest that inflammatory response to HCI in esophagitis is related to changes of myeloperoxidase activity and histamine rather than change of PLA$_2$ activity.

Mackerel muscle protein hydrolysates, which were prepared from defatted mackerel meal by proteases such as complex enzyme, alcalase, bromelain, pancrease, pepsin, w-chymotrypsin, trypsin and papain, were tested for the antioxidative action against linoleic acid. Among proteases tested, the hydrolysates obtained from the treatment of complex enzyme, bromelain and alcalase showed higher antioxidative effects. Also, the hydrolysates showed the synergistic effects with o-tocopherol and the inhibitory effects for peroxidation of metal ions(Fe3+, Cua+) From the profiles of fractionation of the hydrolysates with Bio-gel P-2 column, the most active fractions, part I(complex enzyme-derived) and part e(bromelain-derived), had below MW 1,400 and the antioxidative effects were closely related to the binding capacity with metal ion(Cua+). Amno acid composition of the part I was abundant in histidine, arginine, phenylalanine and lysine, and the part e was abundant in lysine, glutamic acid and leucine.

최근 사물인터넷(IoT) 기기가 활성화됨에 따라 웨어러블 장치 환경에서 장기간 모니터링 및 수집이 가능해짐에 따라 생체 신호 처리 및 ECG 분석 연구가 활성화되고 있다. 그러나, ECG 데이터는 부정맥 비트의 불규칙적인 발생으로 인한 클래스 불균형 문제와 근육의 떨림 및 신호의 미약등과 같은 잡음으로 인해 낮은 신호 품질이 발생할 수 있으며 훈련용 공개데이터 세트가 작다는 특징을 갖는다. 이 논문에서는 ECG 1D 신호를 2D 스펙트로그램 이미지로 변환하여 잡음의 영향을 최소화하고 전이학습과 메타학습의 장점을 결합하여 클래스 불균형 문제와 소수의 데이터에서도 빠른 학습이 가능하다는 특징을 갖는다. 따라서, 이 논문에서는 ECG 스펙트럼 이미지를 사용하여 2D-CNN 메타-전이 학습 기반 부정맥 분류 기법을 제안한다.

The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of He-Ne, IR laser therapy for 4 and 10 minutes on healing of septic arthritis. Sprague-Bawley rats (212.1$\pm$10 g) were randomly assigned to one control and three arthritis groups. Septic arthritis groups were divided into arthritis control, 4 or 10 minute laser therapy groups. Arthritis was experimentally induced by intraperitoneally administration of staphylococcus aureus in citrate buffer(pH 4.3). These result were obtained as follows: AST, LDH, ALP, CK activities and IgG concentration in 10 minute laser group were signifantly increased compare with those in the arthritis group. AST, LDH and CK activities in 4 minute laser group were significantly decreased compare with those in the arthritis group. We think that laser therapy in 4 minute may effective on the healing of septic arthritis. And we will have to study of the effect of laser therapy on healing mechanism, appropriate time of septic arthritis.
