Resource Scheduling Framework based on Resource Parameter Graph (자원인자 기반 스케줄링 프레임워크)

  • For the implementation of large scale GRID systems, the performance scalability in resource scheduling is clearly to be addressed. In this research, we analyzed existing scheduling frameworks from the viewpoint of the performance and propose a novel resource scheduling framework called resource parameter based scheduling. Proposed scheduling framework consists of three components. The first is the resource parameter graph that expresses resource information via inter-resource relation and the composition base on the hierarchical structure. The second component is the resource parameter tree to be used for the implementation of the memory-based index of resource information. The third component is the resource information repository which mostly consists of static data to be used for the general resource information services. This paper presents the details of the framework.

  • How to transfer spatial data from server to client in wireless broadcasting environment is shown as following: A server arranges data information that client wants and transfers data by one-dimensional array for broadcasting cycle. Client listens data transferred by the server and returns resulted value only to server. Recently number of users using location-based services is increasing alongside number of objects, and data volume is changing into large amount. Large volume of data in wireless broadcasting environment may increase query time of client. Therefore, we propose Client based Data Scheduling (CDS) for efficient data scheduling in wireless broadcasting environment. CDS divides map and then calculates total sum of objects for each grid by considering number of objects and data size within divided grids. It carries out data scheduling by applying hot-cold method considering total data size of objects for each grid and number of client. It's proved that CDS reduces average query processing time for client compared to existing method.

  • The scheduling problem that maps independent tasks to heterogeneous resources in distributed computing systems is known as NP-complete[1]. GRID[2] is an example of distributed systems that consisted of heterogeneous resources. Many algorithms to solve this problem have been presented[1,3,4,5]. The scheduling algorithm can be classified into static scheduling algorithms and dynmic scheduling algorithms. A dynamic scheduling algorithm can be used when we can not predict the priority of tasks. Moreover, a dynamic scheduling algorithm can be divided into on-line mode algorithm and batch mode algorithm according to the scheduling time[1,6]. In this paper, we propose a new on-line mode scheduling algorithm. By extensive simulation, we can see that our scheduling algorithm outperforms previous scheduling algorithms.

  • P2P 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 피어의 자율성으로 인한 자원 제공의 휘발성과 피어의 이질적인 특성은 스케줄링 과정에서 해결해야 할 중요한 문제이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이동 에이전트 기반 적응적 그룹 스케줄링 기법(Mobile Agent based Adaptive Group Scheduling Mechanism: MAAGSM)을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 피어의 특성 (즉, 자원제공자 자율성 고장, 자원제공자 가음용, 자원 제공 시간)에 따라 피어들을 동질적인 그룹(자원제공자 그룹)으로 구성한 후, 그룹에 적합한 다양한 스케줄링 알고리즘은 이동에이전트 기술을 이용하여 적용한다.

Scheduling Algorithm using DAG Leveling in Optical Grid Environment (옵티컬 그리드 환경에서 DAG 계층화를 통한 스케줄링 알고리즘)

  • In grid system, Task scheduling based on list scheduling models has showed low complexity and high efficiency in fully connected processor set environment. However, earlier schemes did not consider sufficiently the communication cost among tasks and the composition process of lightpath for communication in optical gird environment. In this thesis, we propose LSOG (Leveling Selection in Optical Grid) which sets task priority after forming a hierarchical directed acyclic graph (DAG) that is optimized in optical grid environment. To determine priorities of task assignment in the same level, proposed algorithm executes the task with biggest communication cost between itself and its predecessor. Then, it considers the shortest route for communication between tasks. This process improves communication cost in scheduling process through optimizing link resource usage in optical grid environment. We compared LSOG algorithm with conventional ELSA (Extended List Scheduling Algorithm) and SCP (Scheduled Critical Path) algorithm. We could see the enhancement in overall scheduling performance through increment in CCR value and smoothing network environment.

  • 분산형 데스크탑 그리드 시스템에서 안정적인 연산 수행을 위한 노드 구성 기법과 동적인 환경에 적응적인 스케줄링 기법은 필수 요소이다. 그러나 기존 연구에서는 자원 제공자의 휘발성에 적응적으로 대처하지 못하는 연산 수행 모델을 사용하였기 때문에 데드라인 내에 전체 작업을 완료해야하는 응용에 대처하지 못하는 문제점이 발생한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 자원제공자의 성능과 논리적인 위치기반으로 자가 조직적 연산 오버레이 네트워크(Computation Overlay Network) 구성 기법과 자원제공자의 작업 완료 확률과 신용도 값을 이용하여 응용 QoS 보장을 위한 휴리스틱기반 복제 (Heuristic based Replication) 기법을 제안한다. 성능평가에서는 기존 스케줄링 기법과 자원제공자의 작업 완료 확률과 신용도에 따른 분포를 이용한 복제기반 스케줄링 기법을 비교평가 한다.

  • 분산형 P2P 그리드 시스템을 구축하는데 있어 연산 수행을 위한 노드 구성 기법과 구성된 토플로지에 적합한 연산 수행 보델 및 스케줄링 기법은 필수 요소이다. 하지만 기존 연구에서는 자원 제공자와 휘발성을 고려하지 않은 연산 수행 모델을 사용하였기 때문에 연산의 안정적인 수행이 보장되지 못하고, 시스템의 성능이 떨어지는 문제점이 발생한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 가용성 기반의 자가 조직적 계산 오버레이 네트워크(SelfCON:Self-organizing Computation Overlay Network) 구성 기법과 구성된 토폴로지에 적합한 연산 수행 모델 및 스케줄링 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 자원 제공자 노드의 휘발성을 고려하여 안정성을 높임으로써 전체 연산 성능을 향상시킨다.

  • 본 논문에서는 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템 성능 향상을 위해 기존의 스케줄링의 단점인 최악대기시간 문제를 보완한, 작업(Job) 크기에 따른 이중 큐 작업선택 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 작업의 크기에 따라 이들을 서로 다른 큐에 넣은 후, 라운드 로빈(Round-Robin) 방식으로 작업을 처리함으로써, 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템 최악 대기시간 성능을 개선시켰다.

  • For high performance Grid environments, an effective GIS(Grid Information System) should be adopted. In the design of GIS architecture, its grid resource information model provides a key basis. This paper presents our study on the exploration of a high performance grid resource information model. According the exploration, we identified the followings. The resource information model should clearly address the issues of relation descriptions as well as resource descriptions, issues related to scheduling support, the issue of decoupling the expression model of resource information from data repository models, and finally the issue of decoupling user-level resource descriptions from system-level resource descriptions. Based on the proposed conceptual organization of resource information models, analysis result for the existing resource information models are presented.

  • As the development of recent science and technology, high-performance computing resources is needed to solve complex problems. To reach these requirements, it has been actively studied about grid computing that consist of a huge system which bind a heterogeneous high performance computing resources into on which are geographically dispersed. However, The current research situation which are the process to obtain the best results in the limited resources and the scheduling policy to accurately predict the total execution time of the real-time task are very poor. In this paper, in order to overcome these problems, we suggested a grid computing-based risk management system which derived from the system structure and the process for improving the efficiency of the system, grid computing-based working methodology, risk policy module which can manage efficiently the problem of the work of resources(Agent), scheduling technique and allocation method which can re-allocate the resource allocation and the resources in problem, and monitoring which can manage resources(Agent).
