  • In this study, the fatigue characteristic of spot weld specimen was studied by using the various specimen. The specimen types were tensile shear specimen welded one spot and two spot, and cross tension. The tensile tests and fatigue tests were executed to know the mechanical properties under static and fatigue load condition. In addition, the relationship was illustrated by finite element method.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to apply differential transformation method to vibration analysis of Euler-Bernoulli beam with open cracks on elastic foundation. The governing equation of motion of beam with open cracks on elastic foundation is derived. The concept of differential transformation is briefly introduced. The cracks are modeled by massless substitute spring. The effects of the crack location, size and the foundation constants, on the natural frequencies of the beam, are investigated.

  • Fictitious Crack Model(FCM) is one of the Nonlinear Analysis Method which is presented strictly strain softening phenomena of concrete in the fracture zone. As no stress singularities occur, it is not necessary to use special crack tip elements for this analysis. A special feature of the used method is that it explains not only the growth of existing cracks, but aslo the formation of new crack, as it is assumed that cracks start forming when the tensile stress reaches ft, i.e., the same criterion is used for formation and propagation of cracks.

  • 복합재료/금속 접착 조인트의 파손기준을 제시하기 위하여 다양한 혼합모드 하중상태에서 계면파괴인성을 측정하였다. 계면파괴인성은 SLB 시편을 이용하여 측정하였으며 시편의 두께를 변화시킴으로 모드 혼합비율을 다양하게 설정하였다. 실험결과 계면의 파괴인성은 균열 열림에 비해 균열 미끄러짐 모드의 비율이 높은 하중상태에서 더 큰 값을 나타내었다. 균열 열림 및 미끄러짐 하중모드에 따른 계면파괴 거동의 차이를 균열진전 과정을 관찰한 현미경 영상을 기초로 고찰하였다. 표면 거칠기가 접착 강도에 미치는 영향 또한 고찰되었다.

  • In the analysis of fatigue crack propagation behavior, the crack length is one of the most important factors. In the test of crack propagation, compliance method is widely used to detect crack length. The measurement of surface crack length is not so easy with compliance method. In this study, the image processing technique was applied to measure the surface crack length. CCD(Charge-coupled device) camera was used to observe the crack image and the computer program to detect crack length from stored crack image was developed. CCT(Center Cracked Tension) specimen was used to compare the compliance method with the image processing technique. The crack length which detected by the image processing techniques was found to be well consistent with that from the optical measurement.

  • Recent economic trends are worsening and becoming longer, and Korean shipbuilding is focused on high value added and high technology, especially for LNG carriers and large container ships. Both ship types increased in size in the 2010s but have requirements such as high strength, toughness at low temperatures and continuous weldability for preventing brittle fractures at service temperatures. In particular, as container ships become larger, the International Classification Society (IACS) has established a provision (IACS UR S33) that mandates the use of BCA (Brittle Crack Arrest) certified vessels for large container vessels contracted after 2014 to ensure safety. Therefore, studies on BCA 47Y.P are currently being undertaken, but BCA 40Y.P has not been actively studied yet. We will test BCA 40Y.P to verify why it can be applied to a large container ship and measure fatigue cracking.

강섬유 보강 콘크리트 보의 휨 해석 (Flexural Analysis of Steel Fiber Rreinforced Concrete Beam)

  • SFRC보의 휨 거동에 대한 이론적인 해석이 제시되었다. Critical region내의 곡률변화와 균열 양상이 고려되었으며 이를 위해 SFRC의 압축응력-변형도와 특히 SFRC의 인장 최대하중 후 응력-균열 열림관계(stress-crack opening relationship)로 표현된 인장 constitutive모델이 비선형 휨 해석에 이용되었다. 제시된 모델의 해석치는 실험치와 비교할 때 만족스러웠으며 이 모델을 이용, SFRC보의 휨 거동에 미치는 여러 영향들과 위험 단면(critical section)의 거동이 고찰되었다. 또한 단순 관찰과 통계적인 접근을 통해 SFRC보의 휨 거동에 큰 영향을 미치는 변수(parameters)들을 찾아내었다.

인장-압축하중 하의 파괴저항곡선의 감소현상 해석 (Analyses of the Decrease Phenomenon of Fracture Resistance Curve Under Tension-Compression Loading)

  • Fracture resistance (J-R) curves, which are used for elastic-plastic fracture mechanics analyses, decreased under tension-compression loading condition. This phenomenon was proved by several former researches, but the causes have not been clear yet. The objective of this paper is to investigate the cause of this phenomenon. On the basis of fracture resistance curve test results, strain hardening hypothesis, stress redistribution hypothesis and crack opening hypothesis were built. In this study, hardness tests, Automated Ball Indentation(ABI) tests, theoretical stress field analyses, and crack opening analyses were performed to prove the hypotheses. From this study, strain-hardening of material, generation of tensile residual stress at crack tip, and crack opening effects are proved as the causes of the decrease hypothesis.

SS330 용접재에서 재분포 압축잔류응력 및 균열닫힘의 영향을 고려한 피로거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Behavior considering Effects of Redistributing Compressive Residual Stress and Crack Closure in SS330 Weldment)

  • In this study effect of residual stress and its redistribution in weldment on the fatigue crack propagation was investigated. Fatigue tests were conducted by the center notched specimens machined with welded plate. The residual stress and its redistribution after the crack growth were measured by the magnetizing stress indicator and hole-drilling method. Fatigue crack propagation was estimated by the specimens having residual stress redistributed after the cracks growth and having the effects of crack closure. Crack growth rates were predicted and compared with experimental results. It had been found that the predicted crack propagation rates have a good agreement with experimental results when the redistribution of residual stress was considered.

  • 본 논문은 그래핀의 모드 I 균열 진전에 대한 분자동역학 해석과 수치보조장을 사용하는 영역 투영 방법의 역문제 해석 방법을 결합하여 균열 선단 응집 법칙을 평가하는 효율적인 방법을 제시하고 있다. 그래핀의 균열 선단 응집 법칙을 결정하는 것은 균열 선단에서 멀리 떨어진 영역의 변위를 사용하여 균열 면에서 미지의 응집 트랙션과 열림 변위를 구하는 역문제를 해석해야 하는데 상호 J-적분과 M-적분의 경로 보존성과 효율적인 수치보조장을 사용하는 방법을 적용하였다. 분자동역학 해석에서 원자 변위를 유한요소 절점 변위로 이동최소자승법을 사용하여 근사하였으며 안정적인 역문제 해석을 통하여 원자 단위의 거동을 연속체 해석으로 연결시킬 수 있는 새로운 방법을 보여주었다.
