The Reading Certification System is a form of reading education, a program in which homeroom teachers or librarians certify and reward students' reading and reading activities in order to raise motivation for reading. This study investigates and analyzes the management of the Reading Certification System in elementary school libraries in Gapyeong County, indicating problems and providing ways to resolve them by examining theories on school libraries' reading education and the Reading Certification System through a documentary survey and by conducting a survey of librarians and students on the categories of management, effectiveness, satisfaction levels, reading activities and reading motivation factors. An analysis of the survey results yielded the following suggestions for improvement: there should be a recommended books selection, a separate budget for a diverse reward system and more reading activities for students with low participation levels. I hope the results of this paper will be used as a reference when implementing the Reading Certification System in elementary schools, and that it will be an opportunity in changing perspective when applying the system.

This study was carried out to obtain basic data for technical inprovement about cultivation according to micrometerological changes under various mulching materials in Dendropanox morbifera LEV. The results are summarized as follows. Transparent polyethylene film and black polyethylene film mulching materials increased the soil porosity and reduced change of the soil moisture content. The rate of missing plant during overwinter increased in the control plot. Growth of Dendropanox morbifera LEV, was accelerated by transparent polyethylene film and black polyethylene film mulched.

The success or failure of the public library system depends upon the effective management of the human resources. It means that public library's staff is the most important resource in the operation and delivery of services. In order to provide the best service to the community, therefore, it is necessary to maintain excellent staff to make effective use of the information resources of the library and to meet the demands of the community. The goal of this study is to compare and analyse the staff standards and guidelines of public libraries in international organizations(IFLA/UNESCO, ISO), major developed countries(USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Japan), and Korea. In addition, the implications derived from this study will be used to provide a valuable theoretical background and rationale for the future research.

This study aims to present about structural marina floats to yacht enhancement. Yacht marina facilities take long time and huge budget. The current ministry of land, transport and maritime affairs is planning to select an optimal design and spot for marina float base to yacht enhancement using Mokpo harbor. First, this paper focuses on marine floatation system to find requirements of selection. Second it points out sample structural marina floats in practice. Finally, this paper presents some recommendations for developing plan and method.

This research intended to identify empirical recommendations for designing the DAISY service interface and used a case-based method. The case of this research was LG Digital Talking Book Library(http://voice.lg.or.kr) of LG Sangnam Library. A group of experts evaluated the current DAISY interface serviced by the web. After evaluation, major recommendations were suggested and these recommendations were used to develop the new DAISY Interface. Major recommendations were consideration of the reading flow of the screen-reader program, prevention of perception as an error about the time delay, development of web-based software, support for convenient functions and prevention of shortcut key overlap and so on.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the proper minimum viable population of a seed bank for the ecological restoration of pine forest using a seed bank. It examined the germinated soil seed bank from August 2010 to November 2011. The results of the correlation analysis showed that the area and the number of herbaceous species were the highest at 0.686. The results of the regression analysis of four variables including the number of woody species, the number of woody individuals, the number of herbaceous species, and the number of herbaceous individuals using the theory of island biogeography to the minimum viable population in studied plots showed that all four variables were significant with area at the level of 0.05, and R square was 0.583. One function was selected between the number of species and the number of individuals from the canonical correlation analysis, and the function square was 0.824. Both canonical function and squared canonical correlation showed significant at the level of 0.01. The result of study recommended the area size of the minimum viable population in pine forest applied by seed bank to be larger than $64m^2$, the number of species to be over 21, and the number of population to be over 120. It also found that the number of herbaceous species determined the cluster size of the seed bank. Therefore, it is necessary to consider herbaceous species that appear in the seed bank.

The purpose of this study is to prepare and present a plan for the elderly service, in which the elderly become service providers and beneficiaries for the elderly who have emerged as the main library users in the face of a post-aged society. As a result of a survey of 119 elderly users of public libraries in the Busan area and an interview with a focus group of librarians at G Library, it was confirmed that the elderly service was needed. The most necessary services in terms of the beneficiaries of the Elderly Services by Elderly were surveyed in the order of computer information search help service, library usage guide service, book search method guide service, and recommended or popular book guide service. In terms of 'Elderly Services by Elderly' providers, the willingness to participate was the highest among those in their 60s, and the preferred method of participation was paid volunteer work three times a week, within four hours a day. Accordingly, it was analyzed that participants were recruited in connection with the social contribution activities of the government employment program for the elderly and prior training was necessary. In addition, the need for the creation of a community space for the elderly and the participation of retired librarians was raised.

In 4th Chapter : Suggesting conclusion of revitalization of children's library digital material room based on utilization and demand appeared through this study.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of OPAC displays of three children's libraries in Korea: Seoul Children's Library, Cheongju Miracle Library, and Yongsan Public Library. 'OPAC Display Guidelines( Draft)' Published by IFLA is used to examine the details of OPAC displays, and to suggest their improvement. Discussed are such topics as the features of basic and detailed search screens, the brief display of search results, the arrangement and full display of bibliographic records, and the use of terms and labels. All three libraries offer their users the same KOLAS' OPAC, only designed to serve general users rather than children, i.e., their primary user group. They show some weakness, and much improvement is urgently required to satisfy specifically the needs and information seeking behavior of children.

This study analyzed the mathematics textbooks of middle grades in the first Korean curriculum, based on the modern trends of mathematics education curriculum, comparing with present Korean curriculum's other textbooks and the American textbook, MiC. The mathematics textbooks in the first Korean curriculum are based on various situations in our real life and introduce mathematical concepts throughout a set of mathematics problems. The textbooks present mathematical concepts with connected knowledge and include mathematical activities which make students use mathematical table, graph and formula at the same time. And students are actively required to discuss together during the mathematics problem solving process. As the results of this modern review on Korean 1st curriculum and middle grades mathematics textbooks, it would provide preliminary data and meaningful implications for the next curriculum and concomitant instructional materials.
