This study aimed to develop an educational program on cervical cancer prevention and human papillomavirus (HPV) for female North Korean refugees and to assess the effect of the program. This study used a nonequivalent control group with a pretest-posttest design. The participants were 42 female North Korean refugees in their 20s residing in South Korea. Measurements included cervical cancer knowledge, HPV knowledge, attitude toward HPV vaccination, and intention for HPV vaccination. Statistically significant differences emerged in levels of cervical cancer knowledge (U = 40.00, p < .001), HPV knowledge (U = 4.50, p < .001), and attitude toward HPV vaccination (U = 128.00, p = .013) between the experimental and control group. The educational program is an effective nursing intervention to improve cervical cancer knowledge, HPV knowledge, and attitude toward HPV vaccination of female North Korean refugees. Stakeholders must work to establish health policies to reduce health disparities between South and North Korean women to prepare for unification.
Purpose: This study was a descriptive study to investigate correlations between self-care behaviors and quality of hypertension management by hypertensive patients being cared by community health practitioners. Method: Participants were 583 people who were prescribed antihypertensive medications at a health clinic located in South Chungcheong Province. The survey was done from June 1 to July 30, 2018. A self-report questionnaire was administered, and data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficients with the SPSS 24.0 program. Results: The rate of awareness, treatment, and control of hypertension were 97.9%, 99.1% and 92.8%, respectively. The number of hypertensive self-care behaviors was 1.82 (${\pm}0.36$) out of 3 points. The quality of hypertension management was 3.22 (${\pm}0.46$) out of 4 points. There was a moderate correlation between hypertensive self-care behaviors and quality of hypertension management (r=.340, p<.001). Conclusions: Results of this study confirm that the quality of hypertension management by community health practitioners is related to self-care behaviors of hypertensive patients. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality of hypertension management by health care specialists for self-management of hypertension patients. In addition, a systematic program to improve the quality of hypertension management by community health practitioner is needed.

Methods: To confirm the effect of aromatherapy foot bath, aromatherapy foot bath group was asked to have a bathing by dropping 0.5 cc in 18 L water after blending with a ratio of 6:3:1 with essential oil lavender, lemon, and tea tree and a foot bath group was asked for bathing only by water. Results: Aromatherapy foot bath group showed significant decrease in subjective stress score (t=3.465, p=0.001) and stress index (t=3.021, p=0.004) in addition to simultaneous increase in sympathetic nervous activity (t=-2.913, p=0.005). However, no significant stimulation of parasympathetic nervous system was observed (t=-1.831, p=0.072). Conclusions: As aromatherapy foot bath is a possible effective intervention for stress relief, it can be applied as an effective method to relieve the stress for healthy adults and patients.
