An ABBN-type 26-group constant set, KAERI-26G, which can be reliably applicable to fast reactor calculations has been generated using the nuclear data of ENDF/B-IV or ENDL-78 and a processing code ETOX-K4. The KAERI-26G set was evaluated by analysing measured integral quantities such as effective multiplication factor, central reaction-rate ratio, and central reactivity coefficient for a variety of critical assemblies. All these calculated quantities were compared with results from other workers using similar-type sets.

The purpose of this study is to examine changes in local government objectives due to the change of local government heads in Hwasun-gun of Jeonnam province, and to analyze performances of regional development policies, regional development vision, and local government objectives setting by the 6th local election. The local government objective and slogan of hwasun-gun continued to change due to frequent replacement of local government heads from 1st to 6th local election. The slogan of the 6th local election was set as 'Luxury Hwasun, Happy Citizens' and addition, six local government objectives were set: trusted administration, shared welfare, attractive culture, vibrant rural areas, dream-planting education, and vibrant economies. The performance of local government objectives of the 6th local election showed a 90% achievement rate compared to the planned goal.

We have developed a method to evaluate pumping rates from a system of pumping-well family. For a given system actual pumping rates depend on pump characteristics and the sum of the static head and the dynamic head. The static head is the elevation difference between the natural groundwater level and the outlet of the pipeline that connects all the wells. Major components of the dynamic head are groundwater drawdown in the well and pipeline head loss. The dynamic head and the pump characteristics depend on the pumping rates. Actual pumping rates are determined at the intersections of the system total-head curves and the pump characteristic curves. The Newton-Raphson's method is used to solve the nonlinear simultaneous equations. The method is applied to a hypothetical well family. Impacts of various design and operational parameters on the pumping rates are analyzed.

다수의 양수정이 연결된 군정은 복수 개의 펌프와 상당한 길이의 관수로 구성된다. 이 때 펌프-관망 시스템의 생애주기 비용의 최소화를 위하여 재료비, 시공비 등이 고려된 초기비용과 양수정 가동을 위한 에너지비용으로 구성되는 운영비용을 최소화하기 위한 기법을 연구하였다. 이 두 가지 비용은 서로 반비례 하는 형상을 띄고 있다. 따라서 관망의 각 요소와 펌프의 종류 및 소요 동력을 감안하여 설계해야 한다. 가령, 직경이 커질수록 펌프가 제공해야 하는 양정이 줄어들어 소요 동력 비용은 줄어들지만 초기 설치비가 증가하므로 이들의 상관관계를 알아내어 적절한 균형을 찾아내야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서 고려한 최적화 결정변수는 관경과 펌프 사양이다. 펌프-관망 시스템 최적화의 제약 조건에는 별도의 지하수 관정 최적설계 기술로 도출된 관정들의 위치, 양수량 분포, 그리고 각 양수정의 수위이다. 최적화 기법으로는 유전자 방법을 사용하였다.

The hafnium shroud is used to control the excess reactivity and power distribution in KMRR. The core analysis is performed by the diffusion code VENTURE using the 5 group macroscopic cross sections homogenized for an assembly. Investigated are the applicability of the diffusion calculation by homogenized cross sections to the analysis of control assembly which features unusual geometry such that hafnium shroud surrounds a multiplying medium inside. Comparative calculation is performed for the excess reactivity and power levels by the transport code TWOTRAN. The results show the acceptability of the diffusion calculation by the homogenized cross sections without significant error.

Since modern mathematics textbooks were introduced in the late 19th century Korea, arithmetic experts started to teach modern mathematics using Arabic numerals at village schools and churches. After the Gabo Education Reform of 1894, western mathematics education was included in public education and the mathematics textbooks began to be officially published. We explored most of Korean mathematics textbooks from 1895 to 2016 including the changes of mathematics curriculum through 1885-1905, 1905-1910, 1911-1945, 1945-1948, 1948-1953, 1954-1999, and 2000-2016. This study presents the characters of modern mathematics textbooks of Korea since 1885.

정부가 국방 현대화 사업의 일환으로 추진하는 군 정보화 프로젝트는 건당 예산이 수십억에서 최고 수백억 원으로 어마어마하다. 유-디펜스연구소는 이같은 국방 분야 EA(군정보화 청사진)를 설계하는 군사전문 컨설팅회사로서 최근 군 전장관리 EA사업의 1단계 프로젝트를 수주했다. 경쟁사인 삼성SDS, LG EDS 등 거대 SI업체를 제치고 군 정보화 사업에서 다크호스로 떠오른 유-디펜스연구소를 찾아가 보았다.
