A Study on the Considerable Factors for Development of Military Vehicles (군용차량 개발시 고려요소 개발 연구)

  • Recently, the army make plans for the development of new conceptual military vehicles. As the development of military vehicles, we need selecting of considerable factors for solution of user's additional requirements, systematic and efficient development management of military vehicles. For this study, we made up questions from 4 specialist's groups about military vehicles as manager group, operator group, maker group, researcher group. There were 22 selected factors in the result of gathering the specialists' opinions and the result of this study will useful for hereafter development of military vehicles.

  • Civil technologies and parts occupy big ratio in military vehicle as military supply goods were commercialized. In case of the military vehicle engine, the civil purposed engine has been militarized without developing engine for defense industry. Because of this, it happens that Euro-5 version is mounted in spite of Euro-6 at present because the civil laws on the civil purpose engine and required operational capability for militarization are applied by overlapping. Therefore, this study focused on current situation and issues on the military vehicle emission regulation and suggested how to improve through analyzing the theses, articles, Korean laws and systems. For improving methods, imposing the emission certification duty and exempting the certification for the vehicle of high strategical importance were suggested through aligning the related laws. Consequently, it is expected that this study will be used for basics of checking the civil laws and connection with military systems for commercialization of military supplied goods.

  • Electronic of military vehicle that had relied on pure machinery system is ongoing. A large part of electronic of small-sized military vehicle has been already commercialized, which will expand to large-sized military vehicle field. Design of solenoid valve for automatic transmission is significantly important for stable driving performance of military vehicle. This research aims to develop simulation method which is capable of predicting performance of solenoid valve quantitatively according to its variation of ATF temperature. The research has been conducted in line with Maxwell, a magnetic field analysis program, and AMESim, a hydraulic analysis program. After simulation, it turned out to have been very similar to the test result in temperature range which excludes high temperature (over $120^{\circ}C$) and extremely low temperature (below $-20^{\circ}C$).

  • The military purpose vehicles are developed by using the platform of civil vehicles according to the commercial vehicle expansion plan and military supplied product commercialization policy. But the information related to the military purpose vehicle which adopts the same platform with the civil vehicle is forced to be exposed because its information is revealed by containing into the maintenance manual and electric circuit diagram. Especially, the information disclosure should be blocked by reviewing the application of technology protection because the military vehicle becomes combating purposed mixed equipment when the missile and radar are mounted. The mixed equipment means the one configured with more than 2 types of equipment, and it is categorized into the main and sub equipment. This study was performed to derive the problems in Korean system for vehicle part test evaluation on the mixed equipment and the defense industry technology protection system, and to derive the methods for improving through interviews with the specialists. The conflicts between the civil laws and army regulation were reduced by adding a clause that the engine reflected with the newest emission gas standard should be mounted based on the time of force integration, and the commercialized military supplies were designated as element technology of defense industry technology in consideration of its roles and functions.

  • 정비밴과 수리부속밴은 2.5톤 군용차량에 쉘터를 탑재하여 사용한다. 쉘터 내부는 선반형태로 구성된 정비밴과 서랍형태로 구성된 수리부속밴이 포장도로 및 비포장 도로 주행 시 받게 되는 진동,충격 등의 동특성을 비교 분석하여 유사체계에 설계 시 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.
