The vibration generated on shipboard is very important because it greatly affects on the comfortable mind of passenger and working conditions of crews. Shipboard vibration is closely concerned with the development of propulsion method and the type of main engine to decide speed of ship. To make the propulsion power, the main engine of ship have continuous explosion process in engine room, so the shipboard vibration is generated. The shipboard vibration causes the physiological and psychological damages to human body. In the case of the human body exposed to the shipboard vibration, the evaluation of human exposure to whole-body vibration is prescribed in ISO 6954 : 2000(E). In this paper, to evaluate the shipboard working environment, two kinds of vibration levels onboard ship were measured and compared with one another between engine rooms, engine control rooms and wheel house by the regulation of ISO 6954 : 2000(E).

This study suggests improvements for the effective operation of refresher courses by reviewing the target groups for each refresher course, the contents of these courses, the estimated number of delegates for each refresher course and the operation methods of training institutes overseas. Approximately 37,000 people need to complete the maritime safety refresher courses every 5 years. For the convenience of seafarers, it is necessary to reduce the land training by activating and standardizing on-board training recognized by the STCW Convention and promote investment in the training sector to continuously improve the seafarer safety training. It is also necessary to examine ways to improve the difference between the curriculums of the domestic refresher courses and the one of the STCW Convention. In addition, investments in the development of safety training facilities and virtual reality training programs are required in order to provide an environment where seafarers can take safety refresher courses in a timely manner.

The advances in communication technology and the popularity of network have rendered the increment of demand and desire to digital contents, and a number of creative digital contents produced. According to the time of compilation and a production of raw data, and manners, the format of digital contents may be variable and there can be existed in many connection information about digital contents. Although there are many metadata for standardizing the digital contents, they do not consider for expressing the connection relation about digital contents. In this paper, we proposed the new metadata for expressing the connection information about digital contents. This metadata is compatible the metadata of dublin core out of international standard of digital contents. Our metadata can express the variable direct or indirect connection relation about digital contents by expanding the relation element of dublin core. Also, our system can provide more useful information since we develop a system for managing connection information of digital contents based on our metadata.

본 연구의 목적은 미국국립의학도서관(NLM)의 Unified Medical Language System(UMLS)에 한의학의 용어를 등재하는 것이다. 1차 등재 대상으로 한국한의학연구원(KIOM)에서 진행중인 한의학 용어 정제 연구 결과물 중 임(任) 독맥(督脈)과 12정경(正經)에 속하는 360개의 경혈명(經穴名)의 Concept Unique Identify(CUI)를 선정하였다. UMLS Knowledge Source Server (UMLSKS)의 메타시소러스 검색을 통해 UMLS 내 경혈(經穴)용어에 대한 terminology정보를 수집, 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 용어간 개념 비교를 통해 UMLS의 경혈(經穴)용어와 KIOM의 경혈(經穴)용어를 매핑하였다. 마지막으로 Rich Release Format(RRF)로 데이터를 저장하고, Unicode Transformation Format-8 (UTF-8)로 인코딩하여 NLM으로 송부하였다. NLM에서 용어 등재에 대한 적합성 여부를 판별한 후 2010AB버젼에 "TKMT2010"이라는 소스명으로 한글로 된 한의학 용어가 최초로 UMLS에 등재되었다. 향후 UMLS와 같은 국제표준의학용어와 연계를 통해 한의학 용어가 다양한 의학용어체계와 상호호완성을 확보하고 표준화, 세계화할 수 있도록 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

This study examined children from two families exposed to domestic violence and had psychological counseling in July 2017 at KOVA, a support organization for crime victims. The subjects were exposed to family violence in excess of 10 years and was protected by the shelter with their mothers who had filed complaints with the local police. Victims of domestic violence often face difficulty in avoiding the source of aggression, and thus experience repetitive attacks. This research was conducted at the Buddhism Brain Research Facility, Seoul University, to identify and quantify the emotional characteristics of the affected children in which it is difficult to escape from their living conditions. Data was collected by BrainMaster, a 19-channel examination kit, and analyzed by NeuroGuide. As a result of analyzing the emotional characteristics of the affected children through Quantitative EEG and brain topographical map, we found an increase of slow wave and problems with abnormality of Alpha, High Beta in the left and right Frontal area asymmetry.

This paper describes the details of ITU-T SGIS G.729A speech coder implementation using ARM9 Thumb/sup R/ processor core and various techniques used in the optimization process. ITU-T G.729 speech coder is the standard of the toll quality 8 kbit/s speech coding. The input to the speech encoder is assumed to be a 16 bits PCM signal at a sampling rate of 8000 samples per second. G.729A is reduced complexity version of the G.729 coder. This version is bit stream interoperable with the full version. The implemented coder requires 34.8 MIPS for the encoder and 8.1 MIPS for the decoder, 36.5 kBytes of program ROM and 6.3 kBytes of data RAM, respectively. The implemented coder is tested against the set of 9 test vectors provided by ITU-T for bit exact implementation.

Entering 21st century, various natural disasters have been caused by the scorching heat wave, earthquake, tsunami, typhoon and so on. The casuality and damages have been drastically increased in terms of the frequency and magnitude. Therefore, 50 nations around the world agreed to build up the GEO(Global Earth Observation) in charge of the earth observation for the understanding of the earth system changes, monitoring and prediction and it is on operation. To keep the pace with GEOSS for the cooperation of Science & Technology and to successfully achieve the GEOSS project, KGEO office was established and has been on its duty. Moreover, for more prosperous building of the GEOSS, in cooperation with KGEO and KISTI(Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information), we've conducted the survey of the domestic situation about 9 societal benefit areas of the GEOSS. This survey consists of 5 sections as follows: the standardization, the information system management, the raw data and metadata, the infrastructure, and the others. This survey results will be used as the basic material for establishing the National Global Earth Observation System.

ITU-R has conducted a studies for the frequency allocation to the maritime mobile satellite service (MMSS) in the 7375 - 7750 / 8025 - 8400 MHz under WRC-15 agenda item 1.9.2. In order to allocate a certain frequency bands to the new service, compatibility between new service and the existing services is ensured taking into account protecting the existing services form interference of new service. In this paper, we present current studies results of the frequency sharing studies between new allocation to MMSS and the existing services in the ITU-R. In addition, some proposals for allocating the 7/8 GHz frequency bands to MMSS are also considered for efficient spectral utilization with respect to preparing WRC-15.

With the development of the internet and international agreements such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), Korean researchers frequently encounter scientific names of foreign species, and these are named on a case-by-case basis in Korean without any standard naming method. Therefore, standard Korean names for entire orders and families in the world are required for better communications in Korea. However, there have been no comprehensive discussions of the standardization of Korean names for the orders and families found in the world. In this study, we 1) compare the Korean names of orders and families in the references, 2) discuss naming methods in Korean for foreign taxa, and 3) then suggest standard Korean names for the orders and families in the APG III, which is an up-to-date angiosperm classification system. This study will be a starting point for the national standardization of Korean names for orders and families found throughout the world.

The state of registry issues a type certificate validation (TCV) based on the satisfactory evidence that the product (aircraft, engine, and propeller) is in compliance with the appropriate airworthiness requirements. The Korean government performs an evaluation to determine whether the product complies with Korean airworthiness standards for issuing TCV according to the Korean aviation safety law. Recently, the Validation Principles Working Group (VPWG) has developed a risk-based model for validation of civil aeronautical products. Also, VPWG proposed to incorporate this validation model into the corresponding ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices and guidance material. In this paper, we have reviewed the validation model and discussed improvements in the validation process.
