Background: We aimed to provide basic data for improving the effectiveness of the invitational training and reflecting it in the program in the following year by identifying the satisfaction level of trainees who participated in the "Dr. LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program" funded by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted using a questionnaire interview. In the first stage of analysis, only the interview contents related to the research topic were classified by the researcher for the conversations recorded at the interview site, and in the second stage of analysis, the interview contents classified in the first stage were classified into each of those mentioned in this study. Results: The longer the trainees participated in the program and the better the accessibility, the higher the satisfaction with the program. In addition, the level of achievement of the trainees' goals and the level of improvement in their competence affected their satisfaction, and their difficulty in language communication during the training period was identified as a factor affecting the trainees' satisfaction level. In addition, competency improvement and satisfaction were positively correlated (r=0.75, p=0.03). Conclusion: When organizing a rehabilitation workforce capacity training program, it is important to identify trainees' needs, ensure accessibility, organize courses effectively, enhance English proficiency, and expand practical lectures to increase trainees' knowledge and understanding of rehabilitation.

Based on related studies on 'disability sports,' 'sports for all,' and 'rehabilitation sports,' this study collected the results of a survey on the disabled, who are the actual users of rehabilitation sports services. It analyzed the need for rehabilitation sports services. The requirements of persons with disabilities were extracted, and the extracted contents were presented as inductive content analysis. The researcher's preconceptions and subjective judgments were to be excluded as much as possible. Based on studies related to "Disability sports," "Sports for all for disability," and "Rehabilitation sports," conducted in Korea, a study that included the results of the survey on disabled people was selected. This study's results were categorized into eight categories (perception of sports activities, programs, instructors, facilities, accessibility, cost/support/financial resources, and others) for people with disabilities.

The purpose of this study is to prepare primary data for providing smooth and systematic rehabilitation sports services by confirming the opinions of instructors experienced in the field of disability sports before the implementation of Article 15 'Rehabilitation sports' of the 'Act on Guarantee of Right to Health and Access to Health Services for Persons with Disabilities. In-depth interviews were conducted as a research method, and qualitative analysis was conducted on the contents of the interview. The in-depth interview is unstructured, allowing disability sports instructor to freely present their opinions on difficulties experienced while operating the program, necessary matters for rehabilitation sports implementation. We transcribed the recording data of the in-depth interview and coded the opinions through the thematic analysis method among qualitative research methods. As a result, the final 104 opinions were used and classified into 9 categories; rehabilitation sports goal, training rehabilitation sports instructor, evaluation items and educational guidelines, relationships with program participants, facilities utilization, effects, the timing of provision, and doctor roles.

Background: Exercise equipments and assistive devices for the disabled are being developed, but improvements for usability are still needed. The purpose of this study was to improve and utilize the developed exercise equipment and assistance devices by conducting usability test for people with spinal cord injury. Design: Cross-sectional Study. Methods: Scenarios and usability indicators were derived by conducting a preliminary usability test, 5 non-disabled men and women aged 19 or older. In the scenario, a total of 9 tasks were sequentially performed, including 2 tasks of entry and exit, 5 tasks of assistance devices and weight stack adjustment, and 2 tasks of pre exercise and exercise. The usability indicators were task success (success or fail), execution time (sec), safety, and convenience. For safety, 7 questions (Likert scale, 1~5 point) related to safety, stability and hazard were derived, and for convenience, the system usability scale (SUS score) was used (range: 0~100, 50 percentile rank is 68 point). Results: As a result of the usability test of people with spinal cord injury, there was a large variation among subjects in the task of adjusting the position of the pulley and support in the execution time (11.64~25.44 seconds), and one person failed to adjust the pulley. The safety level showed a lower score (score = 3 points) than other items in the item of entrapment or skin pressure, and in the case of SUS, the average score was 64.5 points, which was close to the acceptable level. Conclusion: Through the usability test, it was confirmed that exercise equipment for the disabled needs improvement in operability, pinching, and pressure, and that it is necessary to develop an assistive device that provides unrestrained posture information (biofeedback) to maintain correct posture during exercise.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the characteristics of caregivers and adults with intellectual disability, and social support, family function, and rehabilitation needs in caregivers. Methods : A total 98 pairs of adults with intellectual disability and their caregivers participated in this study. The researchers examined the general characteristics of the adults with intellectual disability and their caregivers. The evaluation included analysis of the level of activities of daily living, ability to communicate, and health status of the adults with intellectual disability, while the family income, health status, utility and the need for rehabilitation, social support (multidimensional scaled perceived social support, MSPSS) and family function (adaptation, partnership, growth, affection, resolve, and APGAR index) of the caregivers were measured. The data collected were analyzed to determine the relationship of the characteristics of adults with intellectual disability and the social support, family function, and rehabilitation needs of caregivers using regression and correlation analysis. Results : The rehabilitation needs were significantly correlated with the age of the adults with intellectual disability (p<.01), and the subjective health status of the caregivers (p<.05). The education level of the caregivers affected social support significantly ($R^2=.058$, p=.021). The communication ability of the adults with intellectual disability affected family function ($R^2=.071$, p=.01). The social support of caregivers had a significant effect on family function ($R^2=.488$, p<.001). Conclusion : These findings suggest that the barriers to community rehabilitation should be lowered, and the authors discussed the results of the present investigation.

Exercise programs conducted for people with stroke disabilities tend to be monotonous as they are mainly focused on therapeutic effects in the form of physical therapy performed in hospitals. However, the news sports program conducted in this study is thought to deform the intensity and difficulty of exercise in consideration of the exercise ability of each subject and to participate safely and interestingly to use equipment made of special materials. The purpose of the present study was to understand new sports program participation experiences in people with stroke. The qualitative data on eleven participants' new sports program participation experiences were acquired through in-depth interviews. As a result of the study, four subcategories (expectations for the program, experience in participating in the program, and program improvement plan) and ten core concepts were derived. Based on the results of this study, the new sports program for people with stroke living in the community after discharge is expected to be the basis for the development of community-based exercise programs considering the characteristics of stroke.

Objectives: It is reported that the depression of women with disabilities is higher than that of men with disabilities and people with disabilities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the depression level and influencing factors of middle-aged women with disabilities. Method: For this study, the 2020 survey on the disabled was used. The subjects were 2,546 middle-aged and disabled women over the age of 40 who responded to the survey. For data analysis, SPSS Window 26.0 program was used. Descriptive analysis, chi-square test, and multiple logistic analysis were performed to identify factors affecting depression in middle-aged women with disabilities. Results: In this study, marital status, subjective economic status, disability type, subjective health status, subjective obesity, chronic disease, exercise, stress and suicidal ideation, and self-going ability variables of middle-aged and elderly women with disabilities were found to be related to depression. Factors affecting the depression of middle-aged women with disabilities were analyzed to be marital status, smoking, stress, and suicidal ideation variables. Conclusion: Stress and suicidal ideation should be reduced to effectively reduce depression and improve depression in middle-aged and elderly women with disabilities. And the development and application of health education and programs that can promote mental health are required.

Objectives: This study aimed to provide a scoping review of the impact of COVID-19 on people with disabilities. Methods: PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) Group's key questions (PICO) for systematic reviews, a literature search was conducted from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023 using the "AND" search formula. The databases used were Korea DB: RISS, SCIENCEON, and KoreaMed, and International DB: PubMed, CINAHL, and Embase. Results: Among a total of 22 selected articles, 4 studies were published in korea journals: 3 were survey studies (75.0%), 1 was an analysis study (25.0%), and 18 studies were published in international journals. Through a literature review, we confirmed the differences in difficulties between PwD (People with Disability) and PwoD (People without Disability) in the COVID-19 situation, differences by disability type, and post-COVID-19 impact. In order to examine this systematically and objectively, the results were examined by dividing them, which are components based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). Conclusion: In order to respond well to crises and establish effective health policies in similar pandemic situations in the future, understanding and exploration of more diverse types and areas of disability are necessary. In addition, the development and application of appropriate health education and health promotion programs for disability type and ICF component area are required. In addition, it is necessary to develop and apply appropriate health education and health promotion programs tailored to the type of disability and ICF component area.

Due to the absence of rehabilitation sports service systems linked to post-discharge medical measures and rehabilitation, disabled people cannot participate in physical activities suitable for individual disability types, characteristics, and physical functions. In December 2017, the Act on the Rights of Health for the Disabled) was implemented to provide an institutional basis for disable people to address their needs for rehabilitation sports. Based on related studies conducted in Korea, this study aims to collect the results of a demand survey conducted on experts who are rehabilitation sports service providers and analyze the demand for rehabilitation sports services from a policy perspective. This study extracts the needs of experts presented in the literature and presents the extracted content as an inductive content analysis. The criteria for selecting the literature were selected based on studies related to "adaptive physical activity and exercise," "sports for all for the disabled," and "rehabilitation sports" conducted in the Republic of Korea, including the results of a demand survey on experts. The study results were categorized into seven categories (perception of sports activities, programs, leaders, facilities, accessibility, cost/support/financial resources, and others) of field experts who are rehabilitation sports service providers. In a future study, it will be necessary for people with disability, who are consumers who will provide actual services, to identify problems at the disabled sports site and come up with measures to improve them.

Objective : To investigate the actual driving state of the stroke patients who had assessed CPAD. Methods : We conducted a follow-up survey with 48 stroke patients who had assessed CPAD. First, we reviewed the medical chart and then carried out the telephone survey. Results : Of the 48 subjects, 12 were driving and 36 were not driving. Current drivers' CPAD score, it was 54.13, was higher than non-drivers' CPAD score(p<0.05). Those who passed the CPAD were driving more than who failed(OR=8.3, 95%CI=1.931-35.558). Conclusion : The pass group of CPAD have higher chance of driving than fail group and have lower chance of car accidence than fail group. Thus we can apply the CPAD for driving cognitive evaluation tests.
