  • Vegetational structure and successional sere were investigated for Paryeongsan Zone in the Dadohaehaesang National Park incorporated in National Park in 2011. To do so, seventy-five plots($100m^2$) were set up and surveyed. The surveyed plots were divided into six groups according to the analysis of classification by TWINSPAN; (I) Quercus acutissima community, (II) Q. serrata-Carpinus tschonoskii var. tschonoskii community, (III) Pinus densiflora-Q. mongolica community, (IV) Q. variabilis community, (V) P. rigida-Q. variabilis-P. densiflora community, (VI) Chamaecyparis obtusa community. The results of vegetation structure analysis were. I, IICommunity, were expected that the deciduous oak trees with deciduous oak trees or Carpinus tschonoskii var. tschonoskii competing with oak trees would flourish in a deciduous broad-leaved forest. III, VCommunity, were expected that the P. densiflora and P. rigida competing with oak trees would flourish in a deciduous broad-leaved forest. IVCommunity, have expanded the influence of Q. variabilis, but understory will be developed next ecological succession by a high percentage of Machilus thunbergii in frequency of warm-temperate trees. VI Community, Chamaecyparis obtusa community were expected continue. This Chamaecyparis obtusa community is picked thinning Chamaecyparis obtusa as moving purpose of National Park, it will be inducement a plant vegetation succession to the natural forest. Frequency of warm-temperate trees in the Paryeongsan Zone of warm temperate climate zone was a total 9 species, Machilus thunbergii, Eurya japonica, Elaeagnus macrophylla, etc.

  • This study investigated the possibility of using pine tree sawdust in thinning-out tree as a substitute for poplar and douglas-fir tree sawdust in oyster mushroom cultivation. Mycelial growth was 10.8 cm in medium supplemented with 70% pine sawdust after 18 days of culture and 10.2 cm in control medium. Mycelial density showed high density with no significant difference between treatments. Fresh weight and diameter of fruiting bodies were slightly lower in medium supplemented with pine tree sawdust. The hardness of pine tree sawdust was slightly higher in the medium supplemented with 20% and 30% of pine tree sawdust. The L value showed a tendency to be higher in the pine added medium, but the a and b values d id not show any significant difference between the treatments. The yields of fruiting body were 157 g / 850 ml for the control and 170 g / 850 ml for the 40% added pine tree sawdust.

  • A edible mushroom, Hypsizygus marmoreus is commercially cultivated. However, the researches of cultivation and physiological characteristics were not conducted in Korea. In this study, we conducted on artificial cultivation of H. marmoreus and elucidated the effect of light on the mycelial growth and fruit body development using LED light sources with different wavelength; blue (peak wave length 460nm), green(peak wave length 530nm), yellow(peak wave length 590nm), red(peak wave length 630nm), and white as positive control. Mycelial growth of H. marmoreus strains were inhibited about 30~40% in inhibition ratio under the illumination with blue, green, yellow LED light. However, red LED light was not inhibited. Elongation of stipe was effective under the long wave length such as yellow and red light. Abnormal fruit body was produced under the long wavelength and dark. However, development of pileus was effective under the short wavelength such as green and blue light. Also, as a result of cultivation with mixed light for high quality and harvest, many effective numbers and yields of fruiting bodies were obtained in the mixed treatment of blue and white light, and pileus developed well.

  • Mushrooms have a unique taste and aroma, so in the processing of mushroom products with other ingredients, a separate pre-processing step is often taken to eliminate the mushroom aroma. In this study, we analyzed the changes in the concentration of volatile compounds according to drying conditions to promote the activation of processing using the fruiting bodies of yellow oyster mushrooms(Pleurotus citrinopileatus) and pink oyster mushrooms(P. djamor). The caps and stipes of yellow oyster and pink oyster mushrooms were separated and freeze-dried at -70℃ for 120 hours. Subsequently, they were hot air-dried at temperatures of 40, 50, 60, and 70℃ for 24, 24, 16, and 12 hours, respectively. The dried samples were pulverized and quantitatively analyzed by SPME-GC-MS. In the case of yellow oyster mushrooms, the concentration of t-2-nonenal in caps and stipes during freeze-drying was 164.43 ㎍/g d.w. and 174.80 ㎍/g d.w., respectively, whereas during hot air-drying, it significantly decreased to 0.35~3.41 ㎍/g d.w. and 0.98~59.88 ㎍/g d.w. In a similar manner, for pink oyster mushrooms, the concentration of 1-octen-3-ol during freeze-drying in caps and stipes was 31.05 ㎍/g d.w. and 176.17 ㎍/g d.w., respectively, whereas during hot air-drying, it significantly decreased to 1.59~9.66 ㎍/g d.w. and 1.96~15.77 ㎍/g d.w. Furthermore, most volatile compounds showed a tendency to decrease in concentration as the temperature during hot air-drying increased.

  • This study aimed to provide ecological information by identifying the stand characteristics of Larix kaempferi forest vegetation (deforestation, forest influence, patch, forest) for aggregated retention harvest in Mt. Nambyeongsan, Pyeongchang-Gun. Data were collected using the Braun-Blanquet vegetation survey method from July 2020, with 54 quadrats analyzed for importance value, species diversity, similarity index, and detrended correspondence analysis (DCA). The results showed that vine species had a higher importance value in the deforestation area and forest influence area. Forest regions had the highest species diversity (2.419), while the forest influence area had the lowest(2.171). The similarity index was highest between the forest region and patch area (0.723), and lowest between the patch area and forest influence area (0.658), which was consistent with the DCA results. In conclusion, although species diversity temporarily showed higher values in the initial stage after aggregated retention harvest, it was difficult to assign ecologically specific meanings to these values. Long-term monitoring is therefore necessary to accumulate ecological information on aggregated retention harvests.

  • Hydro-thermal liquefaction technology for rapeseed straws was investigated the biomass conversion rate with different catalysts and reaction temperatures. NaOH and KOH were used for catalysts, and the reaction temperature were ranged from 180 to $320^{\circ}C$ at every $20^{\circ}C$ of intervals for 10 minutes. The reaction was carried out in a 5,000 mL liquefaction system with dispenser and external electrical furnace. Raw materials (160g), 2,000 mL of distilled water and 10% (wt/wt) of catalyst to plant residue were fed into the reactor. It was observed that the maximum crude oil yield was about 36% at temperature range, $260{\sim}280^{\circ}C$ with KOH and at $300^{\circ}C$ with NaOH, respectively. It was observed that the more calorific values of crude oil, the higher reaction temperature with KOH, but it had the reverse pattern in NaOH.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide scientific data to support policy making on core area management in national parks, particularly to resolve conflict regarding trail closure, by analyzing the physical characteristics of trails in the Seoraksan and Songnisan National Park on the Baekdudaegan mountains. For the analysis, we surveyed 112 points selected from three sections and one section of closed trails in Seoraksan and Songnisan, respectively (17.1 km in total). The surveyed trails had, on average, trail width of 0.98m, baresoil width of 0.84 m, maximum erosion depth of 11.6cm, and trail slope of 14.2%. Of 53 out of 112 surveyed points (47.3%), we found exposed roots. Only 47 points (42.0%) did not show any type of physical deterioration. The magnitudes of deterioration in the surveyed closed-trail are relatively lower than those in open-trail in other national parks and are similar to those of ridge trails on the Baekdudaegan mountains.
