We report the first occurrence of Ophichthus erabo (Jordan and Snyder, 1901) collected in the waters around Jeju Island. The morphologic characteristics of this species include rich brown semicircular spots distributed on the head, the back, and the dorsal fins. Ophichthus erabo has a similar body color to Ophichthus polyophthalmus but can be clearly distinguished from the latter by the number of vertebrae (152-155 in O. erabo vs. 147-149 in O. polyophthalmus) and the existence of a white spot at the center of a semicircle (i.e., no white spot in O. erabo vs. a white spot in O. polyophthalmus). We suggest a new Korean name for O. erabo to be "Mul-bang-ul-ba-da-baem-gang-eo".

Government publications at public institutions are data that are intended to convey the purpose of an institution or the performance of its business to the public or inside the institution. The management of government publications has become increasingly important under the framework of laws and systems, but matters concerning the nature and value of government publications have not been carried out at records management sites. The Act focused on the archives of the six metropolitan government, and presented issues and improvement measures for efficient management of government publications. To that end, the government should maintain a consistent payment system for publications. As payment method and payment book data in government publications are presented differently by law, a system for integrated management should be established to provide brief information and original information. Second, it is necessary to establish an administrative system that meets the storage environment. The publication registration and payment book system presented by the government's publication guidelines is the central system of the National Archives and Records Service, so it is not an efficient system in the agency archives. Third, support should be provided to recognize the value of government publications and to preserve and manage them in the long term. To dispose of the government publications, a realistic classification method, integrated and controlled program should be presented, and criteria for users using the service should be provided. Fourth, it is the establishment of an integrated management system for government publications. The National Archives Service, the National Central Library, and the National Assembly Library should simultaneously build an abstract of information and original information so that they can be managed systematically and efficiently.

Recently, various methods of collecting and preserving social media have been discussed in the field of archives and records management as social media is actively used as a way of communicating with the public in the government. In the United States, there is a move to acquire and preserve social media at the government level, and the National Archives (UK) already provides social media archives to users through Twitter and YouTube. In this study, we proposed the features, acquisition methods of social media by type and the preservation model based on case study results in terms of acquisition and preservation of social media archiving. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods, this study was applied to the social media of Gyeongsangnamdo provincial government. The results of this study is meaningful in that it suggested acquisition and preservation methods through actual collected results and it is expected that it will be useful for establishing the models for future social media archiving.

In this study, we isolated about 70 bacterial strains from terrestrial and marine environments in Jeju island, and finally, total 21 strains were obtained based on the 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequence analysis. These isolated strains were classified into 16 genera of 5 classes and were identified as an unrecorded species in the Republic of Korea. As a result of the substrate utilization and capability for polymer degradation, the physiological phenotypes for acid resistance and halophilic bacteria were observed to be distinct from each other, except for some acid resistance strains. This study might provide basic information on utilization for indigenous microorganisms.

We described the first record of Callogobius shunkan from Korea, based on two specimens (54.9~66.1 mm in standard length) collected from the southern coastal waters of Jejudo Island. These specimens were characterized by prominent papillae ridges on the head, including postnasal and postorbital rows, well-developed pelvic frenum, dark brownish head, scattered whitish flecks on the body, and three blackish spots on the basal portion of dorsal fins. We proposed a new Korean name, "Ju-reum-mang-dug" for the species.

In 2017, as a study to discover indigenous prokaryotic species in Korea, a total of 6 bacterial strains assigned to the genus Pseudomonas were isolated from soil. From the high 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity (${\geq}99.5%$) and phylogenetic analysis with closely related species, the isolated strains were identified as independent Pseudomonas species which were unrecorded in Korea. The six Pseudomonas species were Pseudomonas mandelii, P. canadensis, P. thivervalensis, P. jessenii, P. lurida, and P. brenneri. Gram reaction, culture conditions, colony and cell morphology, basic physiological and biochemical characteristics are described in the species description section.

Stomaphis (Stomaphis) matsumotoi Sorin, 1995 is reported on Juglans mandshurica Maxim. (Juglandaceae) for the first time in Korea. Photos of live aphids, illustration of slide specimens, and biometric data of apterous viviparous females are presented.

A checklist of snake eels (Ophichthidae) from Korea is presented including information, such as synonyms, distribution, occurrence records and key to species of 7 genera and 14 species. Also, we suggest change of the Korean names for the snake eels (Ophichthidae) "Ba-da-baem-gwa" to "Ba-da-baem-jang-eo-gwa", and it's members, because Korean names of snake eels (Ophichthidae) is similar to those of sea snake (Hydridae).

Freshwater and brackish blue-green algae were collected at 43 freshwater and brackish sites (including lakes, ponds, swamps, streams, and rivers and estuaries) throughout South Korea from March 2017 to October 2018, and were identified using light microscopy. A total 223 taxa in freshwater and 230 taxa in brackish waters in 2017 and 274 taxa in fresh and brackish waters in 2018 were identified and among them, 20 taxa were unreported taxa of blue-green algae in Korea; The new recorded taxa were Aphanocapsa marina, Calothrix fusca f. durabilis, Calothrix littoralis, Calothrix parva, Chamaesiphon minimus, Chroococcidiopsis cubana, Chroococcidiopsis fissurarum, Coelosphaerium aerugineum, Dolichospermum mendotae, Eucapsis alpine, Gomphosphaeria cordiformis, Gomphosphaeria natans, Merismopedia danubiana, Lynbya aestuarii var. gaditana, Tolypothrix tenuis, Pseudocapsa maritima, Pseudocapsa sphaerica, Pseudophormidium tenue, Trichodesmus sp. and Woronichinia elorantae.
