This study is to analyze factors affecting the quantitative size of interlibrary loan service in 22 national and public university libraries of Korea in 1992-2006. The results of this study are summarized as follows: The factors related to interlibrary loan service showed a positive effect on the number of lending and borrowing cases, in addition to showing a highly positive correlation with them on the whole. And the most influential factors of them on the number of lending and borrowing cases showed as follows: On the number of lending cases, 'number of graduate students'; on the number of borrowing cases, 'volumes loaned' and 'number of undergraduate students'.

This study is to analyze factors affecting collection size by the type of materials of university libraries in Korea. The results of this study are summarized as follows; ①Factors affecting library holdings in volumes: national univ. - volumes loaned, total number of courses, library materials expenditure; private univ. - undergraduate enrollments, library materials expenditure, volumes loaned, number of graduate departments; total univ. - undergraduate enrollments, volumes loaned, library materials expenditure ②Factors affecting periodical titles: all the libraries - graduate enrollments ③Factors affecting the size of nonbook materials: national univ. - graduate enrollments, number of undergraduate departments; private and total univ. - volumes loaned ④Factors affecting volumes added: national univ. - volumes loaned, number of graduate courses; private univ. - number of undergraduate enrollments; total univ. - volumes loaned ⑤Factors affecting the size of nonbook materials added: national univ. - number of graduate enrollments, number of undergraduate departments; private and total univ. not extracted.

1999년도에는 지난해에 이어서 우리 도서관계에 여러 해결해야 할 당면 문제점들이 많이 남아있다. 우리 도서관계는 올 한해 공공도서관의 명칭변경 및 민간위탁 문제, 대학도서관의 전자계산소와의 명칭 및 기능 통폐합, 전문ㆍ특수 도서관의 조직 및 기능 축소 등 여러 가지 어려움을 해결해나가는 일 뿐만이 아니라, 정보화 사회에서 지식사회에로의 전환을 앞둔 시기에 도서관 스스로의 부가가치를 창출하기 위한 많은 노력을 기울여야 할 것으로 생각된다. 이에 우리 협회에서는 본 지면을 통하여 도서관계 각 단체의 올 한해 각오와 사업방향 등을 알아보았다.

This paper aims to analyze of the records schedule's transactions, identify problems of them and suggest improving requirements, especially focusing on similar institutions. The paper examines the process and principle of establishing transactions for the records schedule and analyzes the transactions on the records schedules at 59 national and public university libraries by retention, type, library size and administrative functions.

The purpose of this study is to determine the progress of the implementation of the Servicebased Library 2.0 in Korean university libraries. We assess the Service-based Library 2.0 based on the web site analysis of 179 different Korean university libraries. Highlights of our survey include: (1) The most accessed features of the Service-based Library 2.0, were the 'Book Review', 'RSS', 'Tag & Tagging', 'Mobile App', 'Facet' and 'Open API'. (2) Among 179 libraries, of the 16 different services offered by the Service-based Library 2.0, 145 libraries opted for 4 or fewer services offered through the Service, 3 libraries opted for 5-9 services and 3 libraries availed themselves of 10 or more services. (3) More national university libraries than private libraries are implementing Service-based Library 2.0, including such services as 'Book Review', 'RSS', 'Mobile App', 'Facet', 'Blog', 'Twitter', 'Personnel service', 'SMS', 'Facebook'.
