이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS. This paper describes the results of structural integrity and crashworthiness of Automatic Guideway Transit(AGT) vehicle made of sandwich composites. The applied sandwich composite of vehicle structure was composed of aluminum honeycomb core and WR580/NF4000 glass fabric/epoxy laminate composite facesheet. Material testing was conducted to determine the input parameters for the composite facesheet model, and the effective equivalent damage model fer the orthotropic honeycomb core material. The finite element analysis using ANSYS v11.0 was dont to evaluate structural integrity of AGT vehicle according to JIS E 7105 and ASCE 21-98. Crashworthiness analysis was carried out using explicit finite element code LS-DYNA3D with the lapse of time. The crash condition was frontal accident with speed of 10km/h at rigid wall. The results showed that the structural integrity and crashworthiness of AGT vehicle were proven under the specified loading and crash conditions. Also, the modified Chang-Chang failure criterion was recommended to evaluate the failure modes of composite structures after crashworthiness event.

This paper concentrates on the finite element analysis of concrete structures considering the material nonlinearity and time-dependent structural behavior. Using the rotating crack model among the smeared cracking model, the structural behavior up to ultimate load is simulated, and concrete is assumed to be an orthotropic material. Especially to include the tension stiffening effect in bending behavior, a criterion based on the fracture mechanics concept is introduced and the numerical error according to the finite element mesh size can be minimized through the application of the proposed criterion. Besides, the governing equation for steel is systematized by embeded model to cope with the difficulty in modeling of complex geometry. Finally, to trace the structural behavior with time under cracked and/or uncracked section, an algorithm for the purpose of time-dependent analysis is formulated in plane stress-strain condition by the age-adjusted effective modulus method.

In the composite structures or the concrete structures, to analyze stress concentration factor, stress distributions and fracture mechanics of them under forces by photoelastic experiment, it is natural that to develope photoelastic model material for them is surely necessary. Thus, the orthotropic photoelastic model material for the transparent type photoelastic device was developed in the paper, it is called Copper Fiber Epoxy Composite and abbreviated as E.F.E.C. It was found that C.F.E.C. developed in this paper was satisfied with the properties of photoelastic model material that the photoelastic model material should have and that C.F.E.C. had completely properties of composite material. It is thought that C.F.E.C. can be applied to both medical engineering for modeling biological tissue and to the aerospace industry as orthotropic photoelastic material.
This paper describes the results of experiments and numerical simulation studies on the low-velocity impact damage of two different sandwich composite panels for application to bodyshell and floor structure of the BIMODAL tram vehicle. Square test samples of 100mm sides were subjected to low-velocity impact loading using an instrumented testing machine at four impact energy levels. Part of this work presented is focused on the finite element analysis of low-velocity impact response onto a sandwich composite panels. It is based on the application of explicit finite element (FE) analysis codes LS-DYNA 3D to study the impact response of sandwich structures under low-velocity impact conditions. Material testing was conducted to determine the input parameters for the metallic and composite material model, and the effective equivalent damage model for the orthotropic honeycomb materials. Numerical and experimental results showed a good agreement for damage area and the depth of indentation of sandwich composite panels created by the impact loading.

This dissertation presents an exact solution for the normal and shearing stresses of an orthotropic plane body loaded by a moment load. The solution satisfies the conditions of equilibrium compatibility equations concurrently and is governing for the body being in the elasto-plastic state. An Airy stress function is introduced to solve the problem related to an orthotropic half-infinite plane under a moment load. All the equations for orthotropy must be degenerated into the expressions for isotropy when orthotropic constants are replaced by isotropic ones. The author has evaluated all the equations of orthotropy and succeeded in obtaining exactly identical expressions to the equations of isotropy which were derived independently by of L'hosptials rule. The analytical results of isotropy are compared with the simple results of other investigator. Since moment Load under the elastic state and plastic state only is a particular case of moment load under the elasto-plastic state. All the equations of elasto-plastic state case are degenerated into the expressions for the each case. The formal solution is expressed in terms of closed form. The orthotropic constants are evaluated for two kinds and two different orientations of the grain of wood and two kinds of structures. The numerical results for orthotropy are evaluated for one kind and two different orientations of three-layered ply wood. The distribution of normal and shearing stresses are shown in figures. It is noted that the distribution of stresses of orthotropic materials depends on the type of materials and orientations of the grain and stiffening.
In geological media with anisotropic properties, the strength anisotropy in intact rock is the most important issue in engineering aspects. Point-ioad(P/L) strength test designed to estimate the uniaxial compressive strength(${\sigma}_c$) can be used to evaluate the anisotropic strength characteristics of rocks. The relationship between ${\sigma}_c$ and P/L strength indices(I$_s$), obtained from the banded gneisses distributed in the Cheongyang area, varies depend mainly on the dip angle($\beta$) of foliation. The axial P/L strength indicies(I$_{sa}$) decreases with the increment of $\beta$, whereas diametral P/L strength indices(I$_{sa}$) increase with it. However, the ${\sigma}_c$ decreases with the increments of $\beta$ below about 40$^{\circ}$, but it increases with the increments of $\beta$ over about 40$^{\circ}$ in general. The correlation between ${\sigma}_c$ and I$_s$ suggests that ${\sigma}_c$ is related to the Isa withing low angle($\beta$<40$^{\circ}$) and the I$_{sd}$ within high angle ($\beta$>40$^{\circ}$), respectively. The ratios of I$_s$ to ${\sigma}_c$ are obtained as 11 to 14 in the the gneisses in the study area. The ratio of 24, which is generally adopted value, cannot always be truthworth to the gneisses in the study area. The ratio for the dykes, however, show a good correlation as 21 to 24.5 and, the value of 24 can be used for a homogeneous and isotropic materials such as dykes.

Currently, porous materials (e.g., mineral wool) are the core materials used in offshore plant panels, but in spite of their superb acoustic performance, these items must be replaced for environmental reasons. A honeycomb structure is widely used throughout the industry because of its high strength-to-weight ratio. However, research in terms of noise and vibration is minimal. An acoustic study should be conducted by taking advantage of honeycomb structures to replace porous materials. In this study, a simulation was performed assuming that a honeycomb panel is a superposition of symmetric mode and antisymmetric mode. Reliability was verified by comparing a simulation results based on a theory with a experimental results, and the possibility of the panel as a core material was evaluated by studying the sound insulation characteristics of a honeycomb. As the panel thickness increased, the coincidence frequency shifted to low frequency. As the angle between horizontal line and oblique wall and cell-size decreases, the sound insulation performance is improved. And as the cell-wall thickness increased, the sound insulation performance improved.

In this study, polysulfide epoxy polymer concrete was chosen as an ultra thin bridge deck overlay, and the effect of polymer concrete pavement on the fatigue stress range of the orthotropic steel deck was analyzed through the comparative analysis with epoxy asphalt pavement and SFRC pavement. Abaqus was used to estimate the fatigue stress range, and signed von-mises stress was used to estimate fatigue stress range according to pavement materials and thickness, considering there were multi axis stresses which have longitudinal and lateral direction on the welded parts of the steel deck.
This work presents the free vibration characteristics of laminated composite corrugated rectangular plates using the analytical method. Because it is very difficult to determine its mechanical behavior of 3-dimensional corrugated structures analytically, the equivalent homogenization model is adapted to investigate the overall mechanical behavior of corrugated structures. The corrugated element can be homogenized as an orthotropic material. Both the effective extensional and flexural stiffness of this homogenized equivalent orthotropic material are considered in the analysis. The present analytical results are validated by those obtained from 3D finite element analysis based on shell elements. The natural frequencies and global vibration mode shapes obtained from present analytical and finite element analysis are presented. Some numerical results are presented to check the effect of the geometric properties.
