This writing presents a structural methodology that conceptualize' Fransis Ford Coppola's perspective and adaptation style of his screenplay derived from the author Mario Puzo's original novel "The Godfather". This paper is divided into two different stages: The first stage, namely the "formal stage", encapsulates the analysis of narration and exploring the effects of structural transformations, such as deleting, creating and modifying from the novel to the screenplay. The second stage, entitled "semantic stage", is concerned with ascertaining the difference between the structure itself and the adapter's perspective on the original novel. The opening sequence of will be used as a case study to explore these issues in examining its adaptation style specifically while also offering a template for adapting a screenplay from a novel.

Recently, the construction of tall buildings utilized by high strength-concrete in the whole world is tending to be on the rise. The application of high-rise structural system in buildings results in the excellent cut-down effect in construction materials due to section reduction. Therefore, in order to investigate the CO₂ and resource reduction effect for the high-rise structural system, comparisons of GWP and ADP in embodied energy of structural materlais between 4 type of high-rise structural system have been performed. As a result, GWP emission increased in the order of steel structure outrigger system, RC shear wall system, and RC outrigger system. On the other hand, ADP emissions increased in the order of RC shear wall system, RC outrigger system, and steel structure outrigger system.

Movie captured audience's whole sense organs to the screen which is made up of visual story-telling decorated by color, sound, and smell. The audience rediscovered native emotions(pleasure, fear, terror) suppressed and left in the compressed world of space and time, that is to say a movie world separated from the real world, by being immersed in the movie story. This study revealed audience's feelings of pleasure and fear by analyzing the movie . First of all, the pleasure would be discussed in terms of Nietzsche's "the will to power." Nietzsche defined something to breathe, move, and will as being alive, and he insisted that its power to life is 'the will to power.' Human beings wish to have power and want to increase it: pleasure, the real motivation of human behaviors and phenomena. The movie well revealed the pleasure by showing nonperson's challenge and victory against social rulers. Second, the fear and terror of the audience will be discussed in terms of in Lacan's psychoanalysis. Lacan extended Freud's id, ego, and superego into the worlds of reality, imagine, and symbol, and suggested a father in symbol world among those worlds. He suggested as a basic and connecting instrument of the socialization just like Signifi$\acute{e}$ and Signifiant, Saussure' basic linguistic structure in "Cours de lingustique g$\acute{e}$n$\acute{e}$rale"(1916). Because father is the symbol and the metaphor of law, the absence of him and resistance against him means obstacles of social stabilization. Finally this paper will also discuss that the fear from the absence of law and the pleasure provoked by self-preserving instincts, that is to say natural feelings, are connected to values of progressivism and conservatism.

In today's era of media convergence, users can watch a drama by choosing a story like a game or enjoy a game directed like a movie. These two media material interactive storytelling, and there have been discussions about them for many years. The purposes of this study are to propose a new branch structure for interactive storytelling and find a new perspective for the method of proceeding with a branch structure. The main research targeted a game that materialized interactive storytelling best. Based on the findings, the study proposed a volume branch structure including a plot border and adjuster concept for interactive storytelling to keep the story narrative and help the users feel interactions freely. This structure can be materialized only with real-time edited videos in the game media and will be possible in the application cases of a physical engine that continues to develop and artificial intelligence that has not been introduced in games actively.

Recently, the development of high-strength thicker steel plate above 600MPa is becoming active due to the increase in both height and member size of architectural structure. However, such steel, which is being investigated in Korea nowadays, has possibility of limited practical application because of high design code strength and high-yield ratio. Therefore, this study performed the validation for the structural performance of beam-column with combined axial force and bending moment whether this beam-column might be attributable as an architectural purpose steel. This study was conducted from the result of monotonic loading test of beam-column, based on the material properties of low-yield, 600MPa class steel which was developed during 1988-1993 in Japan. This study might provide the fundamental database for practical research for these steel which are actively being tested in Korea.

1997년 하수종말처리장의 민간위탁을 시작으로 국내 수도산업의 효율화에 대한 논의는 정부부처와 전문기관, 학계 등을 중심으로 제시되어 왔다. 수도산업 구조개편 논의는 지방상수도와 하수도산업의 규모의 영세성을 극복하기 위한 수직적 수평적 통합, 지방자치단체의 직영으로 인한 비효율성 제거를 위한 경영형태의 변화 등 크게 두 가지 흐름으로 정리할 수 있다. 상 하수도 사업의 수직적 수평적 통합은 주로 164개 수도사업자를 대략 9개 또는 12개 대규모 권역, 26개 또는 31개 중규모 권역으로 통합하는 방안들이 논의되고 있는데, 이와 같은 광역화 방안에 대해서는 정부부처, 연구기관, 전문가그룹 등에서 전반적인 합의가 형성되고 있다. 하지만 경영형태의 변화는 공사화와 민영화가 가장 큰 논의의 흐름으로, 이에 대해서는 집단과 지역 등 이해관계자간 상이한 견해들로 사회적인 합의를 이루지 못하고 있다. 한편 선진 수도사업을 구축하고 있는 프랑스, 네덜란드, 이스라엘 등지 에서는 수도산업의 효율성뿐만 아니라 공공성 제고 관점에서 구조적인 변화를 꾀하고 있다. 프랑스 파리시는 과거 150여 년 동안 유지되어 오던 수도사업의 민간운영을 전문공기업에 의한 위탁운영 방식으로 전환하는가 하면, 이스라엘은 정부와 민간기업간의 역할 분리를 통하여 물산업 수출국가로 발전하였다. 또한 네덜란드에서는 민영화 도입을 둘러싼 사회적 역량을 보다 발전적인 방향으로 유도하고자 법률로써 민영화를 금지하였다. 이에 본 연구는 글로벌 수도산업의 구조적인 변화 등을 살펴봄으로써 국내 수도산업이 효율성과 공공성을 제고하기 위한 경영 개선에 앞서 고려되어야 할 선결과제를 다음과 같이 제시한다. 첫째, 본 연구에서 살펴본 글로벌 수도산업의 구조적 변화(민영화에서 전문공기업화)는 수도사업의 정보의 비대칭성 및 투자저하가 효율적인 규제 메커니즘 부재에서 비롯되었다는 인식에서 추진되었다. 반면 국내시장은 산업 경제 전반이 정부주도로 이루어짐에 따라 적절한 규제의 틀과 문화가 정착되어 있지 않을 뿐만아니라 규제를 위한 전문인력도 상당히 부록한 실정이다. 따라서 효과적인 민영화의 도입을 위해서는 인적 제도적 인프라 형성이 선결과제이다. 둘째, 신규 또는 개량 투자에 대한 수요 발생, 생산원가에 미달하는 요금회수율 등은 민영화 도입 이후요금인상의 압박요인으로 작용할 것이다. 따라서 생산원가를 저감시키기 위한 광역화, 통합관리체계 등에 의한 원가절감 노력을 통하여 수도산업을 효율화하고 요금회수율을 현실화 등의 과제가 선결되어야 할 것이다.

This study explores the possibility that the figure of the Estill Voice Training model, which is based on speech science, can contribute to the expansion of vocal expertise in the acting art where an actor creates a character. The purpose of this study is to examine the usage plan. The training model through the fluidity and structural functionality of the voice production organ is differentiated from the existing voice training that focuses only on the results of sound due to its ambiguous abstraction. Developing the voluntary coordination ability of the occipital region and vocal tract, such as False Vocal Folds, Cricoid Cartilage, Velum, AES, and Anchoring, has scientific efficiency that makes it easier to produce artistic target sounds, and it is a technical skill that can creatively overcome the functional limitations faced by actors. It can be used as a methodology. The Estill model Figure, which is a principle training for harmony and coordination between the elements of voice production, has a practical value that can be used as an alternative training model for the voice education of actors in Korea, where images and abstractions are the mainstream.

3D rendering is a critical process for a movie production, advertisement, interior simulation, medical and many other fields. Recently, several effective rendering methods have been developed for the photo-realistic image generation. With a rapid performance enhancement of graphics hardware, physically based 3D rendering algorithm can now often be approximated in real-time games. However, the high quality of global illumination, required for the image generation in the 3D animation production community is a still very expensive process. In this paper, we propose a new rendering method to create photo-realistic global illumination effect efficiently by harnessing the high power of the recent GPUs. Final gathering routines in our global illumination module are accelerated by programmable graphics hardware. We also simulate physically based light transport on a ray tracing based rendering algorithm with photon mapping effectively.

This study researches the formative character of 1920's fashion through cinema costumes from the perspective of the theories of W$\"{o}$lfilin and Delong. This study organizes a new perspective such as closed form & open form, part recognition & whole recognition, and flat & rounded to analyze the characteristics of form in the costumes of 'The Great Gatsby', 'Chariots of Fire', and 'Chicago'. The 1920's style in the fashion history is a closed form and flat because of simplicity and functionality. The costumes in Chariots of Fire' that focuses on the reappearance of 1920's fashion is a flat and closed form. However, the costumes of 'The Great Gatsby' that presents a symbolic meaning and 'Chicago' that expresses a splendid look are an open and rounded form. Evening dresses are open, with whole recognition and a rounded form because of sheer fabrics, beading, uneven hemlines, and lighting. Daytime dresses are a closed form and flat because of heavyweight fabrics, dark or achromatic colors and non-patterns. Also, open form and rounded, closed form and flat have a similar distribution in diagrams. When the viewer recognizes the form of clothes, they react in a similar way to two-dimensional and three-dimensional presentations that shows that the form of clothes is recognized by the relation with the body. In addition, this study researches the connection between diverse elements such as clothes, body, movements, space, and external elements such as lighting.

Due to the rapid development of information & communication technology under high performance computing environments, the multimedia production techniques have been applied to a variety of multimedia fields such as general banner advertisements including texts, images and animations, and the internet-broadcasting dealing with videos and sounds. This paper presents an authoring tool with main functions to setup events objects (image, animation, sound, button, area) and to setup action functions, so that non-experts can easily produce multimedia including images, sounds, animations and so on. The authoring tool implemented in Java can be applied to the CD-ROM title production as well as the web-site construction. We can expect that when this authoring tool is used for in multimedia production, both cost and time will be reduced due to its convenience and powerful functions. We have a future plan to integrate intelligent multimedia presentation techniques with the presented tool for the autonomous multimedia authoring works.
