MOF-based membrane encapsulated ZnO nanowires for H2 selectivity (MOF 기반 멤브레인 기능화된 ZnO 나노선의 수소 가스 선택성)

  • 가스센서는 사내 및 산업 환경에서의 유독성 또는 폭발성 가스 검출, 환경 모니터링, 질병 진단 등 매우 다양한 응용분야에서 큰 관심을 가지고 있다. 반도체 금속산화물(SMOs) 기반의 센서 분야에서는 이들의 감도 및 선택성을 향상시키기 위해 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이는 센서의 선택성을 부여하게 되면 다양한 가스들이 존재하는 환경에서도 검출자가 원하는 가스만의 응답을 얻을 수 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 MOF(Metal-Organic Framwork) 기반 멤브레인으로 ZIF-8(Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks 구조들 중 하나) 멤브레인 쉘 층을 이용하여 ZnO 나노선에 형성하였다. ZnO 나노선은 VLS공정 (Vapor-Liquid-Solid)을 이용하여 패턴된 전극을 갖는 $SiO_2$-grown Si 웨이퍼 상에 성장되었고, 성장된 ZnO 나노선은 2-methyl imidazole과 methanol이 포함된 고용체에 넣고 폐쇄된 압력용기 속에서 가열시켜 얻게 된다. 이렇게 얻어진 ZIF-8@ZnO 나노선의 ZIF-8 멤브레인은 분자 체 구조(molecular sieving structure)를 갖게 되며, 이들의 pore 크기는 약 $3.4{\AA}$을 갖는다. 따라서 이보다 더 큰 동적 직경을(kinetic diameter) 갖는 가스 종은 이 멤브레인을 통과할 수 없음을 나타내므로 제작된 시편은 $H_2$(kinetic diameter : $2.89{\AA}$), $C_7H_8$(kinetic diameter : $5.92{\AA}$), 그리고 $C_6H_6$(kinetic diameter : $5.27{\AA}$) 가스들을 각각 사용함으로써 ZIF-8@ZnO 나노선의 센서 특성을 조사했으며, 보다 정확한 비교를 위해 순수한 ZnO 나노선 역시 동일한 조건에서 측정되었다. 결과를 통해, 수소 가스를 제외한 다른 가스들에 대해서는 반응을 하지 않고, 오직 수소 가스에 대해서만 반응을 나타냈으며, 순수 ZnO 나노선의 수소 감응도보다 낮은 감응도를 나타내었다. 이는 멤브레인 쉘 층을 형성함으로써 ZnO 나노선의 표면적이 감소해 가스 분자와의 접촉점을 감소시키기 때문이라고 판단된다. 이와 같은 MOF 멤브레인의 캡슐화 전략은 가스센서뿐 아니라 바이오 센서 및 광촉매 등과 같은 이온 선택성을 필요로 하는 다양한 응용분야에 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Most deep learning (DL) approaches for bridge damage localization based on a structural health monitoring system commonly use supervised learning-based DL models. The supervised learning-based DL model requires the response data obtained from sensors on the bridge and also the label which indicates the damaged state of the bridge. However, it is impractical to accurately obtain the label data in fields, thus, the supervised learning-based DL model has a limitation in that it is not easily applicable in practice. On the other hand, an unsupervised learning-based DL model has the merit of being able to train without label data. Considering this advantage, this study aims to propose and theoretically validate a damage localization approach for bridges using a variational autoencoder, a representative unsupervised learning-based DL network: as a result, this study indicated the feasibility of VAE for damage localization.

The Analysis of Flooding by Virtual Flood Scenario (가상 홍수시나리오에 의한 홍수범람 해석)

  • A virtual flood scenario has been constructed to investigate the overflowing process in the flooding area. The topography is constructed using the airborne LIDAR data. In addition, the frequency and scale of the flooding and the destruction condition of the flooding defensive structure are used as input to the scenarios. Through the scenario, the inundation depth with respect to time and maximum depth has been analyzed. This analysis shows the water level variation with time which show the flooding process. Moreover, a flooding map is drawn using the results from the scenario, distribution of the defensive structure, vulnerable area, and expected destruction points in the study area. It is expected that this study can be effectively used to examine the flooding process and flood disaster management. Furthermore, it could provide important basic information for the land development and the city planning of a possible flooding area.

Real-time impact location monitoring using the stabilized Bragg grating sensor system (안정화된 광섬유 브래그 격자 센서 시스템을 이용한 실시간 충격위치검출에 관한 연구)

  • In order to monitor the impact locations in smart structures, multipoint ultrasonic sensors are to be employed. In this study, a multiplexing demodulator with wide dynamic range was proposed to detect the impact locations using FBG sensors, and a stabilization controlling system was also developed for the maintenance of maximum sensitivity of sensors. Two FBG sensors were attached on the bottom side of the aluminum beam specimen and low velocity impact tests were performed to detect the one-dimensional impact locations. As a result, multiplexed in-line FBG sensors could detect the moment of impact precisely, and found the impact locations with the average location error below 0.58mm.

Development of Network-Based Online GPS Baseline Processing System (네트워크 기반 온라인 GPS 기선해석 시스템 개발)

  • With the increased use of GPS in the field of various applications including surveying, the request for fast and precise positional information has increased. Several countries such as USA, Canada, and Australia have already been operating Internet-based automatic GPS data analysis system using e-mail and FTP. Expanding GPS market, it is necessary to establish automatic GPS baseline processing system that is accessible via Internet. The system developed in this study is operating on the web, and it allows the users to access easily regardless of time and place. The main processing engines are Bernese V5.0 and PAGES. They process user data with three GPS CORS(Continuously Operating Reference Station), and then send the report to the users through e-mail. This system allows users to process high accurate GPS data easily. It is expected that this system will be used for various GPS applications such as monitoring large-scale structures and providing spatial information services in private sector.

  • Safety of large scale cable in bridge is very important because it may cause the unwanted catastrophic failure. Although the proof load were considered at the design stage, its soundness must be monitored continuously because the cable may be broken out without warning by the variable external load. The cable tension of in-use structures has been mainly measured by the resonance method and its use has been limited because of relatively large measurement uncertainty. Recently a new magnetic method was developed and its reliability is known to be good for evaluating the cable tension. In this study a system which can deliver the calibrated load to the cable was developed and the measurement reliability of developed magnetic sensor according to the change of external load was analyzed quantitatively. The effect of magnetization frequency, bias magnetic field, and temperature on the sensor output was also evaluated.

Verification of Long-distance Vision-based Displacement Measurement System (장거리 영상기반 변위계측 시스템 검증)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the long - range measurement performance for practical field application of VDMS. The reliability of the VDMS was verified by comparison with the existing monitoring sensor, GPS, Accelerometer and LDS. It showed the ability to accurately measure the dynamic displacement by tracking a motion of free vibration of target. And using the PSD function of measured data, the results in the frequency domain were also analyzed. We judged that VDMS is able to identify the higher system mode and has sufficient reliability. Based on the reliability verification, we conducted tests for long-distance applicability for actual application of VDMS. The distance from the stationary target model structure was increased by 50m interval, and the maximum distance was set to 400m. From the distance of 150m, the image obtained by the commercial camcorder has an error in the analysis, so the measured displacement comparison was performed between the LDS and the refractor telescope measurement results. In the measurement results of the displacement area of VDMS, the data validity was deteriorated due to the data shift by the external force and the quality degradation of the enlarged image. However, even under the condition that the effectiveness of the displacement measurement data of VDMS is low, the first mode characteristic included in the free vibration of the object is clearly measured. If the influence from the external environment is controlled and stable data is collected, It is judged that reliability of long-distance VDMS can be secured.

  • This paper aims to show that cooperative robots, which have only been used in manufacturing sites, are expanding their scope of use in daily living spaces due to the expansion of non-face-to-face services. By combining robots and IoT technologies in terms of diversifying services in daily life and customized service areas, it is expected that the general public will also have easy access to smart technologies, and these technologies will be used in more areas. The robot barista system will provide customers with the services they want, monitoring, maintenance, and management of the system, making this paper convenient for customers, as well as managers who run stores, maintenance and repair, and engineers who design the system. This paper attempts to demonstrate this through a structure called Robopresso.

  • Large-scale industrial facility structures continue to deteriorate due to the effects of operating and environmental conditions. The problems of these industrial facilities are potentially causing economic losses, environmental pollution, casualties, and national losses. Accordingly, in order to prevent disaster accidents of large structures in advance, the necessity of diagnosing structures using non-destructive inspection techniques is being highlighted. The defect occurrence, location and defect type of the structure are important parameters for predicting the remaining life of the structure, so continuous defect observation is very important. Recently, many researchers have been actively researching real-time monitoring technology to solve these problems. Structure Health Monitoring Inspection is a technology that can identify and respond to the occurrence of defects in real time, but there is a limit to check the degree of defects and the direction of growth of defects. In order to compensate for the shortcomings of these technologies, the importance of defect imaging techniques is emerging, and in order to find defects in large structures, a method of inspecting a wide range using guided ultrasonic is effective. The work presented here introduces a calculation for the shape factor for evaluation of the damaged area, as well as a variable β parameter technique to correct a damaged shape. Also, we perform research in modeling simulation and an experiment for comparison with a suggested inspection method and verify its validity. The curved structure image obtained by the advanced RAPID algorithm showed a good match between the defect area and the shape.

Korean Industrial Standards of River Measurements (하천 유량측정분야의 한국산업표준)

  • 하천의 관리 및 활용을 위해서는 하천의 유량, 수심, 유속과 같은 수리량을 측정하고 모니터링하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 이러한 수리량은 측정하는 방법은 직접 측정하는 방법과 구조물을 이용하여 측정하는 방법이 있으며, 직접 측정하는 방법도 지점 유속을 측정하여 도섭법으로 측정하는 방법, 초음파 방식 도플러 유속계를 이용한 횡단 측정방법 및 특정 수심에서 측정한 유속을 이용하여 지표유속법으로 유량을 산정하는 방법 등이 있다. 또한 '수자원의 조사·계획 및 관리에 관한 법률' 제11조제1항에 따르면 수문조사의 방법·기준 및 수문조사 자료의 처리·활용 방법 등은 표준화해야 한다고 명시되어 있다. 정부에서는 WTO의 TBT협정 등 국제규범에 대응하기 위하여 국제표준인 ISO, IEC 등에 부합하는 국가표준운영체계를 유지하기 위하여 여러 분야의 국제 표준에 대한 대응을 수행하고, 국가표준을 관리하고 있다. 그 중 유량측정과 관련된 국가 및 국제 표준은 2018년부터 환경부 국립환경과학원에서 총괄하고, 한국건설기술연구원과 한국수자원공사에서 표준관리를 위한 표준개발협력기관과 국제표준 대응협력을 위한 ISO 국내 간사기관으로 운영되고 있다. 국가표준의 유량분야(TC 113)는 4개의 세부분과위원회(SC)로 구성되어 있고, 하천에서 수행되는 유량, 수심, 유속 측정 및 측정장비의 검정, 강수량 측정기기 등에 대한 39종이 제정되고 관리하고 있다. 한국건설기술연구원에서는 유량분야의 일반사항, 하천에서의 유량측정방법 및 유량측정기기에 관한 표준을 담당하고 있으며, 유량분야의 국제표준의 개발에 관한 과업을 수행하고 있다. 본 발표에서는 한국건설기술연구원에서 관리하는 유량분야 국가표준 및 국제표준의 종류 및 현업에서 수행중인 하천의 유량 측정과 국가표준의 관계에 대하여 설명하고자 한다.
