This study is set out to investigate the factors that influence customers' behavior of choice and switching between online and offline channels, separating the purchase decision into two stages, i.e., information search and purchase. Factors influencing channel choice are found to differ from stage to stage. The main results of this study are as follows. At the information search stage, customers' channel knowledge had impacts on the choice of the channel. Customers are more likely to visit offline bookstores when they have hedonic shopping orientation and higher involvement level with books. On the contrary, customers are more apt to search online when they have a lot of online shopping experiences. At the purchase stage, the results varied according to the search channel. When customers search for information online, the following variables lead to online purchases: online shopping experiences with books, price-focused shopping orientation, and time availability for shopping. Perceived risk made customers purchase offline even though they searched online. In case of offline searching, customers with more convenience-focused, hedonic-focused shopping orientation and less tim availability purchased offline.

On the tourism purchasing stage, this study is focused on analyzing the relationship among tourism omnichannel selecting factor, satisfaction and purchasing intention considering the moderator effects of tourism experience and perceived risk. Based upon antecedent studies and literature about tourism omnichannel, We presented the study model and hypotheses. For the accurate analysis, we did field survey with 400 respondents. The results are as follows. First, the positive relationship are found between channel selecting factors during purchasing and tourism omnichannel satisfaction. Secondly there is a positive relationship between tourism omni-channel satisfaction and tourism purchasing intention. Thirdly tourism experience is proved as a positive moderating effect between channel selecting factors during purchasing and tourism omni-channel satisfaction. But the moderating effect of perceived risk is negative between them.
The study begins with the proposition that customers' recognition of risk and their information level for a service firm and its product influence to the selection of information channel and loyalty of customers. Experimental study found that the likelihood of personal information channel selection would be increased as customers felt higher level of risk and as they had lower level of information when they purchased service products. The study also found that customer loyalty would be influenced by the risk recognition level, but the relationship between loyalty and information level was not significant.
Using survey data and the Heckit model that adequately controls the sample selection bias, we analyze shoppers expenditure through two major emerging shopping channels: Internet shopping and TV home shopping channels. Age, Internet experience, daily Internet usage, the number of computers are factors that affect the ratio of consumers' expenditure through Internet shopping relative to the expenditure through TV home shopping. Shopping frequency which represents the shoppers' incentives to reduce transaction costs also has a positive effect on the proportion of shoppers' expenditure through the Internet shopping. Shoppers' perceptions of convenience, reliability, speed, and diversity are also shown to affect shoppers' relative expenditure ratio through Internet shopping. In contrast, shoppers' perception of prices does not seem to affect their purchasing behavior.
This study explored the relationship between information search and purchasing behavior across in-home shopping channels to give multi-channel retailer an implication of multichannel customer management. We analyzed the relationship between consumer's information search and purchase behavior (choice, frequency, and expenditure) with a view to channel lock-in and cross-channel synergy. This study was carried out using survey data about in-home shopping behavior of housewives. Results of the study showed that (1) there was channel lock-in between information search and purchase behavior across in-home shopping channels, (2) catalog channel and the Internet channel were a alternative channels of TV home shopping channel and (3) catalog channel and the Internet channel were an complementary channels. This results can provide meaningful implication for multi-channel retailers.

After the 2020 Corona 19 pandemic, consumers' online consumption is increasing rapidly, and non-store online retail channels are showing high growth. In particular, social media is gaining its status as a social media market where direct transactions take place in the means of promoting companies' brands and products. In this study, changes in consumer behavior after the Corona 19 pandemic are different in choosing online shopping media such as existing online shopping malls and SNS markets that can be classified into open social media and closed social media when purchasing agri-food online. We tried to find out what type of product is preferred in the selection of agri-food products. For this study, demographic characteristics of consumers, perceived risk of consumers, and dietary lifestyle were set as independent variables to investigate the effect on online shopping media type and product selection. The summary of the empirical analysis results is as follows. When consumers purchase agri-food online, there are significant differences in demographic characteristics, consumer perception risks, and detailed factors of dietary lifestyle in selecting shopping channels such as online shopping malls, open social media, and closed social media. Appeared to be. The consumers who choose the open SNS market are higher in men than in women, with lower household income, and higher in consumers seeking health and taste. Consumers who choose the closed SNS market were analyzed as consumers who live in rural areas and have a high degree of risk perception for delivery. Consumers who choose existing online shopping malls have high educational background, high personal income, and high consumers seeking taste and economy. Through this study, we tried to provide practical assistance by providing a basis for judgment to farmers who have difficulty in selecting an online shopping medium suitable for their product characteristics. As a shopping channel for agri-food, social media is not a simple promotional channel, but a direct transaction. It can be differentiated from existing studies in that it is approached as a market that arises.
From the digital perspective, customer journey and customer experience management are emerging as important issues for companies. While digital customer experience has become more important due to the recent surge in online sales of the home appliance products, customers' experience in online is not differentiated as offline-focused traditional methods are maintained. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and mutual influences of customer experiences at each stage of online purchase journey, and to explore the effects on the product repurchase intention, focusing on online purchasers of home appliance which are high-involvement products. As a result, both cognitive and affective experiences of the research phase directly affect satisfaction, whereas affective experience at the purchasing stage indicated indirect effects through cognitive experience. The experience of the research phase positively affects the next phase, the purchasing experience, and the experience of the purchasing phase leads to the intention to repurchase the product. However, it is also found that, depending on the choice of online channels, the experience of research phase may affect the product repurchase intention than the purchase experience.
This study takes a uses and gratification theory based approach to identifying the relation between TV home-shopping channel use motivation and purchase intention. The results are summarized as follows. First, in respect of TV home-shopping channel use motivation, the analysis results reveal three factors: convenience, information seeking, and entertainment. Among these, the factor of convenience was the first in the order of importance. Secondly, 1)It is found that use motivation also has some limited influence on purchase intention. 2)Selectivity and involvement degree, the sub-categories of audience activity, are found to be the variables with the highest prediction ability, suggesting a need to give a particular attention to them. 3)In addition, viewing amount, a variable of use behavior, is shown to have a significant influence on purchase intention. The followings are the implications of the study results. First, marketing strategies that enable maximization of shopping convenience are required. Second, there is a need to approach the delivery of TV home-shopping contents as a kind of broadcasting contents on their own rather than merely a medium for selling goods.
