Bending fatigue strength test of output gear for Korea High-speed Train (고속전철용 기어의 굽힘 피로강도 시험 및 평가)

  • The transmission system of high speed train serve in the severe condition compared with those of other trains, namely, they have to transmit high power to run with high speed and they have to make maximum use of the limited space. To clarify the strength of gear for Korea High-speed train, a bending fatigue test is performed for the output gear of axle gear reduction unit. This paper reports the reviews of bending fatigue strength test method and the test results of output gear of axle gear reduction unit for high speed train.

  • In this paper, the feasibility of a wheelchair carrier for the disabled own driver is checked kinematically to fit one of current domestic vans by drawings, design. A van with 9 passengers is selected for the modification to attach the wheelchair carrier and test the operation in real situation. The trajectory and motion process are studied to protect from the interception with outside body of van, and the conceptual design is proceeded kinematically. For the detail design, the stress analysis and driving mechanism with power supply must be studied and selected basically.

  • This study is to establish design method and evaluation technology for drive system appropriate to articulated vehicles. The transmission system of articulated vehicles serves in the other condition compared with those of commercial vehicles, namely, they have to transmit high power to run and they have to make maximum use of the limited space. This paper reports the reviews and results of the design and evaluation method for driving gear unit of articulated vehicles and discusses various design items and methods about assembly and parts of driving gear unit.

  • This report analyzes the Source Qualification Test which is composed of main functional and environmental tests for the localizing avionics(electronic subsystem for aircrafts and spacecraft) and high performance mechanical subsystem. Especially the detail test approaches of integrated servo actuators which is the main part to supply the power to the main and other flying control panel. Nowadays this subsystem works with mechanical and electrical engineering technique. In detail, electrical signal is used as input and transferring tool and mechanical part is the output as a power and manufacture the physical dimensions and functions. Finally in this review, the new test procedure to prove the function by the new manufacturer is established.

  • A 6-DOF precision stage was developed based on parallel kinematics structure with flexure hinges to eliminate backlash, stick-slip and friction and to minimize parasitic motion coupled with motions in the other-axis directions. For the stage, lever linkage mechanism was devised to reduce the height of system for the enhancement of horizontal stiffness. Frequency response comparison between experimental results and mathematical model extracted from dynamics of the stage was performed to identify the system parameters such as spring constants and damping coefficients of actuation modules, which cannot be calculated accurately by analytic methods owing to their complicated structures. This newly developed precision stage and its identified model will be very useful for precision positioning and control because of its high accuracy and non-coupled movement.

  • Tilting bogie system allow the train to pass curve at higher speed without affecting passenger comfort. As the tilting trains offer the optimum means of providing faster and more comfortable rail service with minimum of environmental disturbance and capital investment, more than 14 countries have now adopted or are about to adopt tilting train technology. The Korean National Railroad is also planing to apply faster tilting train to the areas where the High speed rail service are not provided. This paper describes the design and mechanical characteristics of Bogie for 180 km/h Korean Tilting Train(TTX), which was done as a part of the Korean National R&D project.

  • This paper proposes a high performance position controller for a driving system using a time optimal controller which has been widely used to control driving systems to achieve desired reference position or velocity in a minimum response time. The main purpose of this research lies in an improvement of transient response performance rather than that of steady-state response in comparison with other control strategies. In order to refine the scheme of time optimal control, Lyapunov stability proofs are incorporated in a controller of standard second order system model. This scheme is applied to the control of a driving system. In view of the simulation and experiment results, the standard second order system model exhibits better minimum-time control performance and robustness than double integral system model does.

  • 최근 수년간에 걸쳐 이루어진 센서기술의 발달과 컴퓨터를 이용한 데이타 처리능력의 혁신적인 발전은 대형의 복잡한 시스템을 실시간으로 운용하는데 있어서 막대한 양의 정보를 적절히 처리할 수 있는 기술을 요구한다. 예를 들어, 제철 또는 화학공장 공정제어에 있어서 여러 단계의 복잡한 공정의 상태에 관련된 정보는 다양한 센서들에 의하여 감지되어 제어컴퓨터에 전달된다. 또한 제어컴퓨터에서 생성되는 데이타는 자동화장비들의 각 구동장치로 분배된다. 이와 더불어 전체공정의 운용 및 관리와 제품의 품질 검사 및 시험에 관련된 데이타들도 적절히 전송되어야 한다. 또한 공장의 생산자동화 시스템에서도 수많은 로봇, PLC, CNC,AGV,켠베이어, 자동창고 등 자동화장비관련장비들의 시간적,공간적인 작업상태와 작업환경에 대한 무수한 정보들은 다양한 센서들에 의하여 감지되어 제어컴퓨터로 전달되어야 한다. 이러한 막대한 양의 데이타들을 적시에 수집하여 가공한 후 적시, 적소에 분배해 줄 수 있는 데이타 전송기술의 확보는 미래의 첨단생산시스템으로 인식되는 CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing)및 분산제어시스템(Distributed Control System)의 구축을 위한 선결과제라 할 수 있다. 이러한 문제들은 발전소, 최신예 항공기와 인공위성 등과 같이 고도의 제어기능과 매우 높은 신뢰도를 요구하는 시스템들에서도 마찬가지로 제기된다.

  • Many algorithms to enhance a speed performance of a robot have been studied, but it's rare to consider disign aspect of a robot arm for time optimal problem. In this paper, section demensions of a robot arm and a velocity profile of an end-effector were optimally designed to minimize the cycle time. Capacity of actuators, deflections of end-effector, and a fundamental natural frequency of the robot arm were constrained in optimal design. For a given path with a trapezoidal velocity profile, torques of each joint were calculated using the inverse kinematics and dynamics. For the SCARA type robot which is mainly used for assembly tasks, the time optimal design of each robot arm id presented with the above constraints.

  • This study suggests a new type shaft generator driven by hydraulic power suitable for small size vessels. Since the shaft generator system is very easy to be affected by disturbances such as speed variation of the main engine and the load variation of the generator, a robust servo control must be performed to obtain stable electric power with constant frequency. So, in this study the robust servo control method is adopted to the controller design. Dynamic characteristics on the frequency variations of the electric power output according to the disturbances are investigated by computer simulations. From the considerations of the computer simulation results, it is ascertained that the shaft generator system proposed in this study had good control performances.
