A Study on the Design of Controller for Speed Control of the Induction Motor in the Train Propulsion System-1 (열차추진시스템에서 유도전동기의 속도제어를 위한 제어기 설계에 대한 연구-1)

  • Electric railroad systems consist of supply system of electric power and electric locomotive. The electric locomotive is adapted to high speed driving and mass transportation due to obtaining high traction force. The electric locomotive is operated by motor blocks and traction motors. Train speed is controlled by suppling power from motor blocks to traction motors according to reference speed. Speed control of the electric locomotive is efficient by spending minimum energy between motor blocks and traction motors. Recently, induction motors have been used than DC and synchronized motors as traction motors. Speed control of induction motors are used by vector control techniques. In this paper, speed of the induction motor is controlled by using the vector control technique. Control system model is presented by using Simulink. Pulse is controlled by PI and hysteresis controller. IGBT inverter is used for real-time control and system performance is demonstrated by simulating the induction motor which has 210[kW] on the output power.

  • 환경오염과 차량 성능향상에 따라서 날로 강화되는 연비규제는 차량용 변속기로서 CVT 양상 보급에 대한 필요를 앞당기고 있다. CVT는 소형차를 중심으로 일부 자동차 에이커에 의해 이미 실용화되어 있으며 일본 및 구미 자동차 각 사는 CVT에 대한 자체기술을 보유하고 경쟁성 있 는 완성품 개발을 위하여 총력을 기울이고 있는 실정이다. CVT에 대한 연구개발의 추세는 동 력전달 구동요소의 특성에 따라 벨트식과 토로이달 (Torodial)식으로 구분할 수 있으며 대부분의 경우 현재 일부 실용화 개발된 벨트식 CVT가 기술완성도가 높은 반면 토로이달롤러의 각도를 연속적으로 변환시킴으로써 무단변속을 이루는 토로이달 방식은 2000년대 이후에 양산을 목표로 일본 및 영국 등에서 개발 진행주이나 새로운 재질과 제어기술개발 등의 숙제를 안고 있다. 벨 트식의 경우 금속벨트는 지난 십 수년이상 시행착오를 겪으며 CVT용으로 개발된 전문업체의 제품이 이미 특허화되어 있기 때문에 자동차 각사는 벨트와 같은 구동요소보다는 CVT 메카니즘 설계 및 제어시스템 개발에 기술력을 투입하고 있다. 따라서 국내 CVT 개발도 이와 같은 추세를 따를 것으로 기대되고 있으나 AT와 같은 완성품으로서의 상품가치를 갖기 위하여는 CVT에 대한 보다 많은 연구개발이 필요하다고 생각된다.

A Study on Development of Acoustic Tweezer System Using Standing Waves and Very High Frequency Focused Beams (정상파와 초고주파 집속 빔을 이용한 음향집게시스템의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • For the purpose of possibility study on development of an acoustic tweezer using standing waves and very high frequency ultrasound focused beams, a system which can manipulate the position of particles in water has been constructed. It can move the particles to near focal point of a focused beam by the radiation force of standing waves, and then the particles would be trapped by the radiating force of the focused beam. The results show that micro sphere particles were trapped well at nodes of the standing waves and their position can be easily manipulated by frequency control. And, even though the radiation force by single focused beam pushes a particle away from the transducer, two focused confronted beams can trap it at near center.

  • Accurate positioning of a throttle valve is required to implement the traction control system(TCS) which improves acceleration performance in slippery roads. In this research, position control system is developed for the main throttle actuator(MTA) system which uses one throttle actuation for small volume and DC servo motor for fast response. In order to drive DC motor, PWM signal generator and PWM amplifier were built and interfaced to the motor and controller. Digital PID control law is used as basic control algorithm. In order to prevent overshoot and improve accuracy, velocity profiles are generated and implemented whenever the targer throttle angle is given from the TCS controller. Thanks to velocity profiles, the control performance was very good and only one set of PID gains was used to cover the entire operating range. Also, the resolution of position is about 0.4$^{\circ}C$, which is better than that of stepping motor also used as throttle actuator in some products. The response time of the developed system is also fast enough to implement the engine control based TCS algorithm.

  • An independently driven electric corner module cannot be applied to an actual vehicle without some difficulty, because of vehicle safety problems in the case of malfunctions and degraded ride and handling performance owing to the increase in the unsprung mass. In this study, a simulator is developed to evaluate the vehicle driving performance in order to solve ride and handling problems. Component modeling of a small-sized electric vehicle with an independently driven electric corner module is performed using MATLAB/Simulink. The vehicle is modeled by using CarSim, which can be used to analyze the vehicle maneuvers with 27 DOFs. The control algorithm for the improvement of vehicle driving safety and ride and handling performance is validated by using the developed simulator.

  • 플렉시블한 관절을 가지고 있는 로보트에 대하여 계단(step) 혹은 경사(ramp) 함수로 기준입력이 주어졌을 때, 모델의 불확실성이나 외란 아래에서 추적오차가 없는 디지찰 제어기법을 제시하고 실제로 실험을 통하여 제어기를 MC 68000으로 구현함으로써 제안한 제어 알고리즘의 유용성을 보였다. 제어기 설계에 있 어서 고려한 사항들은 비선형 마찰력, 중력에 의한 외란, 구동기와 부하사이의 뒤틀림 스프링 효과, 구리고 측 정할 수 없는 상태변수들이다. 또한 미분불가능한 쿨롱마찰로 인하여 전체 시스템이 이산/연속 혼성 시스템이 되어 출력에서 나타나는 리미트 싸이클을 해석/추정하기 위하여 혼성 시스템에서의 기술함수(Describing Function) 법을 제시하였다.

  • For accurate speed and current control in industrial applications, SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor) is very important to synchronize the stator phase excitation and rotor position in the drive due to its nature. In general, position sensors such as encoder and resolver are used to generate rotational force by exciting the stator winding according to the rotor position and to control the motor by using speed and position information. However, for these sensors, 1) the cost of the sensors is quite large in terms of price, so the proportion of the motor system to the total system cost is high. 2) In terms of mechanical, position sensors such as encoders and resolvers are attached to the stator to increase the size and weight. In conclusion, in order to drive the SRM, control based on the rotor position information should be basically performed, and it is important to design the SRM driving system according to the environment in consideration of the application field. Therefore, in this paper, we intend to study the driving and control characteristics of SRM through variable switching duty control by designing a low-cost analog driving device, deviating from the general control system using the conventional encoder and resolver.

  • 본 논문에서는 무인화 ATV 엔진 액츄에이터의 시스템 특수성을 고려한 PID 제어기의 설계를 통하여 종방향 구동을 담당하는 DC 모터의 위치제어 성능을 향상시켰다. DC 모터의 문턱 전압과 마찰력으로 인한 데드존(Dead zone)을 고려하였으며, DC 모터에 연결된 액츄에이터 와이어에 의한 복원력에 대한 영향을 최소화 시켰다. 또한 DC모터의 위치를 판별하는 엔코더의 분해능을 감안하여 제어기 설계에 반영하였고, 실험을 통하여 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 원격 제어 모니터링 시스템을 위한 임베디드 리눅스 시스템의 다중 채널 직렬 장치를 설계하였다. 제안된 장치는 다중 채널 직렬 장치의 효과적인 처리를 위한 내부에 FIFO, Sate Machine, 인터럽트를 구성하고 있으며 임베디드 리눅스에서 효과적인 디바이스 프로그램을 가능하게 한다. 다중 채널의 직렬 장치의 기존의 접근 방식은 개별 직렬 장치를 일일이 접근하고 있으나 본 장치에서는 다중 채널의 직렬 장치를 한 개의 직렬 장치로 간주하여 접근하는 것과 같은 효과를 볼 수 있다. 본 장치는 다중 채널 직렬 입출력 구동에 효율적으로 작용하며 기존의 다중 채널 직렬 장치 보다 접근 속도가 빠르다. 본 장치는 수질 측정과 같은 센서들 사이의 거리가 멀거나 센서와 모니터링 시스템의 사이의 거리가 먼 원격 제어 모니터링에 효과적이다.

  • We propose a variable frame structure connected with telescopic mast-shaped shaft for a robot displaying outstanding ability to cross obstacles, and for effective traction control. The wireless control system was built to extend and contract a deployable mechanism, which is shaped into a hoberman sphere assembled with frame structures. In order to develop important parameters for efficient locomotion, we derived an Euler-Lagrange equation for the spherical robot. According to the equation, the DC motor was selected. A prototype mechanism was tested and a Finite-Element Analysis (FEA) was conducted in parallel. Using these data, we constructed a deployable spherical robot with structural stability. The deployable robot moved at a speed of 0.85 m/s from 520 mm to 650 mm.
