  • This study used the Google Trends site to analyze selection information that users expect from prominent Toothbrushes and Toothpastes through related search keywords that users wanted to obtain. From 2006 to 2018(sep), searches for Toothbrushes and Toothpastes were arranged in the order of popularity of related searched words. The total number of searches words exposed was each 25, total 325 collected. The analysis was conducted using two methods, first, by search function. second, by a word network using a Big Data program. The study has shown that toothbrushes there are high expectations for brands, toothpaste there are high expectations in the function. In order to increase the motivation for oral health education, it is recommended to use and provide knowledge about the brand of toothbrushes and Toothpastes by the function.

  • Many studies using trademark information have suggested that trademark information is good data to monitor business trends. This study intends to analyze the trend change before and after COVID-19 using trademark information. Changes before and after COVID-19 were analyzed by using goods & service classification, similar group code, and designated goods information as trademark information. Among the trademark information, it was statistically significant that the change in trends before and after COVID-19 using designated goods names. To verify the results, the changes in keywords using designated goods names before and after COVID-19 were compared with the frequency of keywords in Google Trends. Among the top 8 keywords extracted from designated goods names, the frequency of Google trend searches for 'online, antibacterial, prevention of epidemics, meal kit, virtual' is on the rise, and 'mask, droplet' is not on the rise, but it increased rapidly at the time of COVID-19, and even after COVID-19, it showed a higher level than before. The frequency of 'unmanned' does not differ much before and after COVID-19, but it has been maintained at a consistently high level, and related businesses have been active since before COVID-19, and it can be interpreted as a keyword with high public interest. This study has academic achievements in that it specifically identified information that could be used in business trends by using three types of trademark information.

  • Big Data has spread rapidly in various industries since 2010. We analyzed the general characteristics of big data through time series analysis on the initial process of spreading big data and investigated the difference of diffusion characteristics in each industry. By analyzing papers, patents, news data, and Google Trend using Big Data as a keyword, we searched for data corresponding to the leading indicator, and confirmed that trends in news and Google Trend preceded the papers and patents by two years. We used Google Trend to compare the introduction period of domestic, US, Japan, and China and quantify the process of spreading the eight main industries in Korea through news data. Through this study, we present an empirical research method on how the general technology spreads in several industry sectors and we have figured out where the spreading speed difference of big data originated in each industry in Korea. The method presented here can be used to analyze the technology introduced from foreign countries in developing countries because it can be analyzed in diffusion process of other technologies besides big data and corresponds to the diffusion of technology keywords in a specific country. And, on the corporate side, this approach shows what path is effective when it comes to launching and spreading new technologies.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of interest that common Internet users have in dental implant using a Google Trends, and to compare the level of interest with big data from National Health Insurance Service. Materials and methods: Google Trends provides a relative search volume for search keywords, which is the average data that visualizes the frequency of searches for those keywords over a specific period of time. Implant was selected as the search keyword to evaluate changes in time flows of general Internet users' interest from 2015 to 2019 with trend line and 6 month moving average. Relative search volume for implant was analyzed with the number of patients who received National Health Insurance coverage for implant. Interest in implant and conventional denture was compared and popular related search keywords were analyzed. Results: Relative search volume for implant has increased gradually and showed a significant positive correlation with the total number of patients (P<.01). Interest in implant was higher than denture for most of the time. Keywords related to implant cost were most frequently observed in all years and related search on implant procedure was increasing. Conclusion: Within the limitations of this study, the public interest in dental implant was gradually increasing and specific areas of interest were changing. Web-based Google Trends data was also compared with traditional data and significant correlation was confirmed.

  • The study analyzed big data extracted from Google and social media to identify factors related to searches on cyber bullying in Korea and America. Korea's cyber bullying analysis was conducted social big data collected from online news sites, blogs, $caf{\acute{e}}s$, social network services and message for between January 1, 2011 and March 31, 2013. Google search trends for the search words of stress, exercise, drinking, and cyber bullying were obtained for January 1, 2004 and December 22, 2013. The main results of this study were as follows: first, the significant factors stress were cyber bullying that Korea more than America. Secondly, a positive relationship was found between stress and drinking, exercise and cyber bullying both Korea and America. Thirdly, significant differences were found all path both Korea and America. The study shows that both adults and teenagers are influenced in Korea. We need to develop online application that if cyber bullying behavior was predicted can intervene in real time because these actual cyber bullying-related exposure to psychological and behavioral characteristic.

  • Numerous research has been conducted using internet search data since the mid-2000s. For example, Google Inc. developed a service predicting influenza patterns using the internet search data. The main objective of this study is to prove the hypothesis that highway traffic indices are similar to the internet search patterns. In order to achieve this objective, a model to predict the number of vehicles entering the expressway and space-mean speed was developed and the goodness-of-fit of the model was assessed. The results revealed several findings. First, it was shown that the Google search traffic was a good predictor for the TCS entering traffic volume model at sites with frequent commute trips, and it had a negative correlation with the TCS entering traffic volume. Second, the Naver search traffic was utilized for the TCS entering traffic volume model at sites with numerous recreational trips, and it was positively correlated with the TCS entering traffic volume. Third, it was uncovered that the VDS speed had a negative relationship with the search traffic on the time series diagram. Lastly, it was concluded that the transfer function noise time series model showed the better goodness-of-fit compared to the other time series model. It is expected that "Big Data" from the internet search data can be extensively applied in the transportation field if the sources of search traffic, time difference and aggregation units are explored in the follow-up studies.

  • In the last five years (2013~2017), we analyzed what factors influenced Korean films that have surpassed 10 million viewers in the Korean movie industry, where the total number of moviegoers is over 200 million. In general, many people consider the number of screens and ratings as important factors that affect the audience's success. In this study, four additional factors, including the number of screens and ratings, were established to establish a hypothesis and correlate it with the presence of 10 million spectators through big data analysis. The results were significant, with 91 percent accuracy in predicting 10 million viewers and 99.4 percent accuracy in estimating cumulative attendance.

  • We investigate the dynamic relationships among digital piracy activities, TV ratings, and online buzz for Korean TV dramas using a panel vector autoregression model. Our main findings include 1) TV ratings are negatively affected by digital piracy activities but positively affected by google buzz, 2) digital piracy activities are negatively affected by TV ratings and social buzz, and 3) social buzz and google buzz are positively influenced by each other. While many empirical studies were conducted to reveal the effects of music or movie piracy, our understanding of drama piracy is limited. We provide empirical evidence of the dynamic relationships between drama piracy, TV ratings, and online buzz. Our findings show the presence of indirect piracy effects on TV ratings through online buzz. Further, we reveal that social buzz and google trends play different roles in promoting TV ratings and piracy activities. We discuss the implications of our findings for theory and practitioners.
