The research subjects were 1,217 people who were over 65 years old and completed an oral examination and oral questionnaire survey. The results were as follows. First, mental health problems arise in people with an oral health status designated as 'bad' or when they feel 'very uncomfortable' chewing or speaking. Second, the quality of life decreases as problems with chewing and speaking increase. The results reveal that to reduce problems of mental health(stress, depression, suicide) and to enhance the quality of life, there is a need to develope diverse programs for preventive treatment and oral health education. What is the most important is consistent policy support.

Methods: This study conducted a self-reported survey on 303 high school girls from four high schools in Jeollabuk-do. Results: Higher academic performance, poor subjective oral health, awareness of dental caries, awareness of jaw joint disease, awareness of discomfort during chewing, and awareness of tooth pain significantly increased overall admission stress. Objectives : A survey was conducted to investigate oral health belief and education awareness of oral health of workers in the workplace and to obtain the basic data necessary to promote their oral health and design an oral health education program. Methods : This study conducted a self-administered survey. Results : The following conclusion was made. For oral health beliefs based on the type of work that the workers did, workers in production and technical services had more benefits than those in other fields(security, guard, etc.), and workers on night duty had more oral health hygiene problems than that of regular day-time workers. The longer the period of service was, the more sensitive and serious the workers were and the less beneficial the work was; workers working for eight hours or less had higher levels of importance than those working for ten hours. They were well aware of the need for oral health education but were less aware of the need for an oral health room. Conclusions : It is necessary to emphasize oral health beliefs when developing an oral health education program that promotes oral health for workers in the workplace. If an oral health education program attempts to reflect the concerns of workers in the workplace and provides preferred contents and methods on oral health education, the program is expected to promote the active and positive participation of the workers.

The results of this study are as follows. For the dental health perception and the utilization of dental service, all middle and high school students had a low perception of the their dental health status toward the farming and fishing regions from the urban. For the time of tooth-brushing among the dental health behaviors, most middle and high school students brushed their teeth after lunch. In connection with the frequency of cariogenic snack intake, high school students had a greater percentage toward the farming and fishing regions from the urban. For the dental health status, middle school students in big cities had a high average of carious permanent teeth, but high school students had a high average of carious permanent teeth toward the farming and fishing regions from the urban. In other words, there was no significant difference in missing permanent teeth, filling permanent teeth and decay permanent teeth between middle school students by region, but high school students had a greater percentage of the dental health perception and dental health behaviors toward the farming and fishing regions from the urban, showing a little difference. Consequently, there was a relationship between middle and high school students' perception of dental health and their behaviors of dental health.
This study examines the relationship between recuperation nurses' oral health knowledge and perceptions and senile denture management behavior. For this study, 198 recuperation nurses who work in recuperation facilities for elderly patients in Andong City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, are surveyed. The data are investigated statistically using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analyses, and logistics regression analyses. The analyses results demonstrate that the rate of correct answers for oral health knowledge of recuperation nurses is 76.5%. The relationship between oral health perceptions and oral health knowledge is 0.324, which is slightly high correlation(p<0.01). In addition, the potential of senile denture management behavior is more likely among nurses who have high levels of oral health knowledge and perceptions. Therefore, it is necessary to explore measures that can promote denture management and oral health for the elderly who enter recuperation facilities through helping raise the level of recuperation nurses' oral health knowledge and perceptions.
