This research aims to investigate into company workers' general characteristics and their awareness of the hygiene of the mouth and practice of it, in order to prepare schemes to improve the hygiene of their mouth. The findings of the research are listed in the following: First, the workers have a high level of awareness of the effect of tooth-brushing to prevent periodontal diseases but a low degree of awareness of its effect to prevent decayed teeth and of the necessity of mouth hygienic supplies. Second, they have a high level of awareness of the necessity and importance of scaling, but most of them do not have their teeth scaled periodically. To repeat, they have a high level of awareness of the necessity of dental examination, but not many of them put such awareness of theirs into practice. Third, married workers have a higher level of awareness of the hygiene of their mouth than unmarried ones do. The higher concern they have about the hygiene of their mouth, the more awareness they have of the hygiene of their mouth. Fourth, the higher monthly average income they have, the more frequently they put into practice their awareness of the hygiene of their mouth. And the poorer hygiene of their mouth they have, the more strongly they put into practice their awareness of the hygiene of their mouth.

As a result of analysis to determine that the oral health belief significantly affects on the oral heal behavior, the personal variables such as age, economic status and occupation, and the seriousness for the oral health belief were indicated to be significant variables(p<0.05), and as a result of analysis that effects on the number of the oral health behavior, the susceptibility and the seriousness were indicated to be significant variables for oral health belief(P<0.05). As a conclusion, oral health belief was identified as a factor of salience through understanding that oral health belief of the students in the dental hygienics department effects on oral health behavior based on an oral health belief model, and it can be concluded that the necessity of oral health belief investigation should be discussed as a crucial issue to provide a more effective oral health promotion plan.
This study was to investigate their relevance between oral health behaviors and number of remaining teeth of the elderly welfare recipients through the fluoride and scaling of the business. Researcher collected 660 subjects over 60 elderly welfare recipients investigated self-administered survey and use denture and number of remaining teeth though oral examination. Increasingly age number of teeth remaining reduced, there is a difference on the number of remaining teeth according to gender, age, the use of oral hygiene products, self diagnosis oral condition, brushing after lunch and showed significant difference(p<0.05). The remaining number of teeth can be prevented by attention and efforts of subjects. Therefore, we investigated convergent effects of oral health behaviors on number of remaining teeth of the elderly, I hope that oral health care program continually provides expansion of preventive treatment and to maintain the provision of health care about vulnerable group.

This study was conducted to identify an influence of subjective oral health status and oral health literacy on oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) in elderly. Participants in this cross-sectional survey were 248 aged over 65 older people in Jecheon city. Data were collected from July. 3 to 21, 2016 using the self-report questionnaire. Subjective oral health status, oral health literacy and oral health-related quality of life were measured. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that subjective oral health status, oral health literacy, cohabitant, the number of teeth, education level and religion significantly predicted OHRQoL in the elderly people, explaining 44.3% of the variance. Therefore, health care providers should consider that interventions preventing tooth loss and improving oral health status and oral health literacy are required to enhance the OHRQoL in the elderly people.
Periodontal disease as one of oral diseases is a chronic disease that continuously worsens once it occurs. It begins with gingivitis in the late school childhood. Its prevalence rate gradually increases in adolescence and continues to rise until young and middle ages. Therefore, the preventive care for the disease in one's whole life is of very importance. Since periodontal disease can be prevented and controlled by oral health behaviors, this study focuses on the relation between adults' oral health behaviors and the disease and emphasizes its importance. Based on the data of the 2015 6th (3rd Year) National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, the prevalence rate of periodontal disease was compared according to study subjects' oral health behaviors. As a result, gum disease treatment, the count of gum brushing, use of dental floss use of interdental brush, and subjective oral health condition were statistically meaningful. Given that oral health behaviors are related to periodontal disease, it is necessary to conduct a systematic study for developing and performing the oral health education program to make the right habit of oral health behaviors.
This study aimed to provide basic data for oral health promotion in adults by analyzing causal relationships for oral health practice determinants. A total of 204 questionnaires obtained from adults living in Busan and Gyeongnam area were analyzed to verify the study model with the Smart PLS v2.0 M2 software. Among oral health belief factors, the severity of and susceptibility to oral disease and benefit of oral care behavior affected oral health-related self-efficacy. The self-efficacy on ordinary oral health care behavior significantly affected overall oral health practice. The severity of and susceptibility to oral disease and benefit of oral disease prevention behavior affected toothbrushing habit and oral examination and training through toothbrushing-related self-efficacy. Therefore, the increased oral health-related self-efficacy through strategic efforts, including various training media development, with improved awareness of oral health belief by continuous oral health care program development will lead to continuous oral health practice in adults.
