Similarity Measure Between Interval-valued Vague Sets (구간값 모호집합 사이의 유사척도)

  • In this paper, a similarity measure between interval-valued vague sets is proposed. In the interval-valued vague sets representation, the upper bound and the lower bound of a vague set are represented as intervals of interval-valued fuzzy set respectively. Proposed method combines the concept of geometric distance and the center-of-gravity point of interval-valued vague set to evaluate the degree of similarity between interval-valued vague sets. We also prove three properties of the proposed similarity measure. It provides a useful way to measure the degree of similarity between interval-valued vague sets.

A simulation comparison on the analysing methods of Likert type data (모의실험에 의한 리커트형 설문분석 방법의 비교)

  • Even though Likert type data is ordinal scale, many researchers who regard Likert type data as interval scale adapt as parametric methods. In this research, simulations have been used to find out a proper analysis of Likert type data. The locations and response distributions of five point Likert type data samples having diverse distribution have been evaluated. In estimating samples' locations, we considered parametric method and non-parametric method, which are t-test and Mann-Whitney test respectively. In addition, to test response distribution, we employed Chi-squared test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. In this study, we assessed the performance of the four aforementioned methods by comparing Type I error ratio and statistical power.

  • 질적인 속성을 양적인 계열로 전환하여 측정하는 방법으로서 설문의 최소 문항으로서 최대의 효과를 나타내기 위하여 한 항목을 k번 측정하여 평균과 $95\%$ 신뢰구간을 퍼지수로 한 데이터들을 리커트 척도로 활용하여 내분비방법에 의하여 검정을 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 개인의 적성을 판단하는 문제를 처리하기 위한 가중치 퍼지추론 알고리즘을 제시하고, 지식표현을 위해 퍼지 집합 이론과 퍼지 생성 규칙들을 이용하였다. 거리척도에 서는 퍼지값이 높은 구간의 척도를 낮은 구간의 척도에 비례하여 유사성을 구하였다. 또한, 가중치를 정량화한 값과 척도값을 연산하여 유사성을 나타냈고, 추출된 항목과 규칙과의 가능성을 구하였다. 여기서, 결과는 수검자들이 응답한 값들에 따라 임의의 직업군이 적당한 지를 나타내기 위해 확신도로 해석하였다.

  • This paper presents a new test technique for evaluating performance of vehicle detectors with interval estimation, not the conventional point estimation, for presenting statistical confidence interval. The methodology is categorized into three parts; sampling plan, analysis on the characteristic of evaluation indices, and the expression of evaluation results. Even though many statistical sampling plans exist, stratified random sampling is regarded as the most appropriate one, considering the detector performance characteristics that varies with traffic, illumination, and meteorological conditions. No magic bullet exists for evaluation index for detector evaluation, hence the characteristics of evaluation indices were thoroughly analyzed and a reasonable process for choosing the best evaluation index is proposed. Finally, the methodology to express the result of detector evaluation for the entire evaluation period and individual analysis interval is represented, respectively. To overcome the existing drawbacks in point estimation, interval estimation by which statistical confidence interval can be represented is introduced for enhancing statistical reliability of traffic detector evaluation. This research can make vehicle detector scheme improve one step forward.

A Mathematical Model for Determination of PCE's Based on Delay for Two-Lane Two-Way Highway (양방향 2차로 도로의 지체시간 산정을 이용한 승용차환산계수 결정이론)

  • One of the most important steps of the design, capacity and operation analysis stapes in the two-lane two way highways is the effect of heavy vehicle to traffic flow quality. This heavy vehicle's effect on traffic flow can be represented as PCE, which is the number of passenger cars that are displaced by a single heavy vehicle of a particular type under prevailing roadway, traffic, and control conditions. In this paper, we focus on the heavy vehicles effect on volume, speed, delay, and the maneuver of freedom which are major MOE's in traffic operation analysis and PCE criterion which should be measurable, determinable and able to reflect the traffic flow characteristics. Therefore, the objective of the paper is to determine the PCE criterion and to develop a new PCE determination method. In this study, delay is adopted as PCE criterion and, for calculation of delay, the highway is divided into the passing zone and the no-passing zone. PCE is determined by comparing the delay due to total traffic flow interaction with the delay due to a single heavy vehicle, Also, this paper proposes a new method to determine the average PCE on the highway that has the passing zones and no-passing zones.

Development of Impulse Propagation Model between Lanes through Temporal-Spatial Analysis (시공간적 분석을 통한 차로간 충격량 전파모형 개발)

  • In general, flow propagation has been explained using the shock wave theory which is expressed as a function of variations in volume and density. However, the theory has certain limitation in portraying heterogeneous flow, e.g., flow propagation between lanes. Motivated by this fact, this study seeks a new measure for analyzing the propagation characteristics of traffic flow at three sections of highway (i.e., merging area, weaving section, and basic section) from temporal and spatial perspectives, and then develops a model for estimating the measure for the flow propagation. The "shock wave speed" which is the measure widely adopted in literature, was first applied to describe the propagation characteristics, but it was hard to find distinct characteristics in the propagation. This finding inspires to develop a new measure named "Impulse Volume". It is shown that the measure better explains the propagation characteristics at the three study sections of highway. In addition, several models are also developed by performing multi-regression analyses to explain the flow propagation between lanes. The models proposed in this paper can be distinguished in three sections and the lane placement.

  • To evaluate the effects of transportation system operation, usually measures of effectiveness(MOE) such as travel time, space mean speed, stop/delay ratio have been used. But, energy consumption as well as the existing MOE in transportation receives more attention as an alternative MOE in transportation operation. The purpose of this study is a development of procedure, which could measure the relative energy consumption for each alternative and compare the results. A mesoscopic simulator called INTEGRATION is used to evaluate the operation of high occupancy vehicle lane, signal optimization, lane expansion, and the application of ITS. Among those, the application of ITS shows the greatest effectiveness in energy reduction, and then lane expansion, signal optimization, and the operation of high occupancy vehicle lane in the order named. Because we don't consider the characteristics of vehicle class, Potential demand and the simulation time is just for an hour. it is recommended that a procedure for precise economic analysis and an improvement in methodology are needed in the future for the expanded application of this study.

  • A Likert scale is an often used questionnaire format. It requests respondents to specify their level of agreement to each of a list of statements. A typical question using a five-point Likert scale might make a statement. The results shows vague values. We have five-point fuzzy membership function by fuzzy valued three-point for the question and fuzzy hypothesis test the membership function by 95% confidence interval.

Planning of Train Operation with Different Objectives Utilizing Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programming Models (비선형정수계획법을 이용한 운행전략에 따른 열차운영계획 수립)

  • 열차운영계획은 수송수요 산정, 운행노선계획, 열차시간표 작성 기관차 및 인원의 할당 등 광범위한 내용을 포괄하고 있으나, 본 논문에서는 계획의 초기단계에서 결정 가능한 운행노선계획을 대상으로 범위를 설정하였다. 운영목표에 따른 전략은 사용자, 운영자, 사회전체의 입장에서 고려될 수 있는데, 이러한 전략에 의해 운행 될 수 있는 열차운행패턴을 운영비용의 최소화, 통행시간의 최소화. 운영자 수익의 최대화 모형으로 해결하고자 하였다. 2004년 이후에 운행이 예상되는 고속철도/기존철도는 운영계획의 변경이 예상되는 바, 상기의 목표에 따라 열차운영패턴을 작성하여 개발된 효과척도의 적용을 통해 정책적인 적용가능성을 평가하였으며 기존 계획된 철도청의 운영계획과도 아울러 비교, 최적대안을 선정하였다. 본 고에서는 수리계획모형인 비선형정수계획모형(MINLP)으로서 국내 철도망에 부합하는 운영계획을 작성하였으며, 이에 따른 열차-km는 수익최대화 모형, 인-km는 철도청의 열차운영계획이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 인-hour는 수익 최대화 모형과 통행시간 최소화 모형이 가장 적은 것으로 나타났는데, 이는 장거리 노선의 편성이 증가된 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 결과를 산출함에 있어. 어려운 점은 각 구간의 기하급수적 증가, 결정변수의 초기값 선정 등이 있으나, 그동안 연구된 각종 경험적 기법의 적용과 실제 편성 가능한 변수의 적용을 통해 이를 해결하였다. 추후 설정된 모형의 비교에 적합한 효과척도의 개발과 전국적으로 사례구간의 확장 및 모형의 최적대안 선택 시 효과척도의 가중치에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
