Previous studies have shown the significant association between loneliness and game addiction. To determine the causal relationship between them, the present study utilized a series of autoregressive cross-lagged models to early adolescent panel data (N = 346) from KOCCA's Game User Panel Research. Results indicated that loneliness and game addiction, respectively, had relatively strong and stable autoregressive effects across four time points. Also, game addiction at a prior time increased loneliness at a later time, but loneliness was not significantly related to game addiction later in time. These results suggest that game addiction may cause loneliness, not the vice versa.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of multicultural education for pre-childhood educators in Korean and Chinese, and to explore the direction of multicultural education. The subjects of this study were Korean and Chinese college students enrolled in the Department of Early Childhood Education, and the t-test and chi-square test were conducted on the questionnaire. The results of the study were as follows: First, there was no significant difference in the two groups' interests in multiculturalism and their perceptions of multicultural children and their families, but there were some differences. Overall, Korean students were positive about multicultural children and families. Second, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the recognition of the necessity of multicultural education, but Korean students were more positive. Third, the need for multicultural education did not differ between the two groups. Through this study, it was found that in order to revitalize multicultural education, it should be made in the direction of improving multicultural efficacy with practice-oriented education rather than theory-based education.

Purpose: Study the method to attach to traditional pattern for the demands of eyeglasses' function which is becoming extended to cultural psychological and social aspects. Methods: To understand the symbolic characteristic of traditional pattern, especially through using palmette, embroidery, and practicing it on glasses' temple and cleaner. Results: Globalization stimulates crossing-consumption cultural trend rapidly. Thus, new glasses pattern involving Korean ethnic feature is a new source that could well adapt to this tendency. This report presents new aspect which corresponds to the demand of modern consumers. By modernizing Traditional pattern and method, we could discover the cultural value of glasses design. Conclusions: Glasses imply social position of users and became a measure that reveal a part of style that presents modern psychological language. Thus, the glasses design using traditional pattern makes a chance to change the beauty sense from western style to oriental one. And it achieves the desire of cultural consumption through glasses design.

ICTs(Information and Communication Technologies) have changed the ways of social activities and communications, and in the process, online and offline spaces have been thought of as binary spaces in which online spaces substitute and erode offline spaces. The aim of this study is to explore how urban space where local social activities and communications are performed is constructed in terms of timespace through the intersection of online and offline communications and how the urban space is 'remediated' through online spaces. For this, the study looks at the case of a workshop on 'locality education' held at the Yeungnam University Museum in January 2013. Criticizing the dichotomist viewpoint that increasing in communications through online spaces results in the expansion of 'absent presence' or 'placelessness' in offline spaces, the study argues that online spaces remediating offline spaces are spaces not transcending the timespace constraints of the offline spaces but rather reflecting the spatial, temporal, material, social, cultural environments of urban space and place.

Safety accidents in university laboratories are constantly occurring due to various chemical, physical, and biohazard risk factors. In this study, the trend of accident occurrence and correlations between factors were derived through statistical and cross-analysis of 192 accident cases in university labs between 2016 and 2020. Directions and strategies were prepared from the correlations of major factors, and guidelines for improvement of the laboratory safety management system were suggested by comparing and analyzing existing policy directions for laboratory accidents.

This study suggests the conceptual basis to integrate local tourism support policy and local unification educational contents development strategy through theoretical analysis about 'Social Tourism' and 'cross-compliance'. Also the purpose of this study is to reinterpret existing tourism resources in order to apply it to the case of Busan. In this study, I investigated the data that have been studied in Pusanology and the history of Korean division. And I conducted interviews with 10 residents who have lived in Busan since the Korean War.

It is not easy to understand that the drama with various aspects of political-economics and psychology in a certain popular cultural contents. People, however, does want to reconstruct the meaning of the real world and the hyper - reality, it means cross of oldness and newness, through the films. We try to analyze in religious/philosophical aspect with hybrid narrative, characters and condensed meaning in series. This try shows a good example way of understanding series which on the border line of newness and oldness.

This study examined longitudinal mediated effects of informal labeling on the relationship between adolescent abuse and academic achievement using autoregressive cross-lagged modeling. Data were obtained from the second, third, and fourth waves of the middle school student cohort (N=3,168) of the Korean Youth Panel Survey. The major longitudinal findings of this study are as follows: First, adolescent abuse was found to have a positive association with future informal labeling. Second, informal labeling was found to have a negative association with future academic achievement. Finally, the longitudinal relationship between adolescent abuse and academic achievement was partially mediated by informal labeling. Based on these results, this study suggests directions for adolescent abuse prevention. The need for education and prevention of informal labeling was discussed, as well as the direction of intervention programs for adolescents with experience of informal labeling. Furthermore, this study may provide empirical evidence for labeling theory and contribute to increasing awareness on the longitudinal influence of adolescent abuse and informal labeling.

This paper attempts to focus the ways in which Seoul as an urban space can be read and interpreted from gender perspective, assuming Seoul as a cultural text which represents modernity and post-modernity. Drawing on discussions of urban sociology and human geography which have analyzed the relationship between material spaces and social subjects, this paper explores the gendered segregation and representations of space in Seoul which has been constructed through the process of modernization. The framework of spatial interpretation of Seoul, concentrating on imageablity and legibility, consists of three dimensions; gendered division of labour and sphere, dichotomy of representations along with femininity and masculinity, and the ways of interlocking between modernity and post-modernity. In this paper, 'fl$\check{a}$nerie', Benjamin's method of interpretation of urban culture and the way of seeing with 'speculum' of Irigaray are adopted as metaphoric methodologies. It is an attempt to develop a new methodology to analyze and interpret urban space from gender-cultural perspective.
