Research on pre-service teachers' perceptions of smartphones for educational use and suggestions for school policy (스마트폰의 교육적 활용에 대한 예비교사의 인식 및 학교정책 개선방안 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the pre-service teacher's perception of the possibility of using smartphones in the classroom, moreover, to confirm the policy related to using smartphones in schools. For the objectives, this study, firstly, investigated the pre-service teacher's awareness of having cellphones in the classroom, secondly, analyzed the pre-service teacher's opinion of using smartphones for educational objectives and elements for those investigated objectives, finally, investigated the school policy for educational objectives of using smartphones. The participants of this study were 146 pre-service teachers among three universities in Seoul. The results showed that the pre-service teachers opposed using cellphones in the classroom. Next, it was found that most of them had smartphones and they knew how to use them effectively. For the aspects of educational use of smartphones, they recognized that smartphones could be used as a smart educational tool, an efficient teaching and learning tool, and an assistant tool for teaching and learning. In order to use smartphones for the investigated educational tools, the learning contents, the ways of teaching and learning, and the technical support of the school should be prepared. Finally, the pre-service teachers thought that the school policy should be changed in order to use smartphones for educational objectives, and the school policy with regard to using smartphones in the classroom should be decided by the teachers. Most of all, for the educational use of smartphones, the pre-service teachers believed that the change of the students' perception was the most significant.

대학생의 창의적 사고 활동을 위한 앱 인벤터를 활용한 안드로이드 앱제작 교육프로그램 개발

  • 디지털 콘텐츠의 한 형태로 볼 수 있는 앱은 개발자들의 창의적 사고를 바탕으로 현재도 무수히 쏟아져 나오고 있으며, 많은 사용자로부터 선택되어 활용되고 있다. 이러한 변화는 교육분야에도 영향을 주어 앱을 활용한 교육환경과 교육방법에 대한 다양한 연구가 현재 진행되고 있다. 앱과 같은 디지털 콘텐츠의 개발은 창의적 아이디어를 기반으로 구현되며 이는 콘텐츠 사용자의 유용성과 경제적 가치를 결정하는데 중요한 요소로 작용하고 있다. 이러한 창의와 디지털 기술을 접목한 앱 프로그래밍 교육은 학생들의 창의적 사고와 문제해결력을 향상시키는데 중요한 역할을 하며 특히 교육용 프로그래밍 언어(EPL, Educational Programming Language)를 활용한 코딩 교육과 창의적 문제해결력 향상에 관한 관련 연구들이 활성화되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 EPL을 바탕으로 비IT계열 전공의 대학생들에게 프로그래밍 교육을 실시하고 창의적 사고를 통해 디지털 콘텐츠인 앱을 제작하는 것에 초점을 두기 위한 안드로이드 앱제작 교육 프로그램 개발을 진행하였다. EPL을 위한 도구는 MIT 미디어랩에서 개발한 클라우드 기반의 안드로이드용 앱 인벤터2(App Inventor 2)를 사용하며, 제작한 앱을 스마트 기기에서 즉시 실행하고 확인할 수 있다는데 대해 학습만족도와 성취감이 높음을 수업관찰을 통해 확인할 수 있었으며 제작 과정에서도 활발한 사고력를 발휘하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • I studied on the relations of constructivism and school library assisted instruction in this paper. Constructivism is the most important goal of the modern schooling. In constructivism they insist that knowledge is constructed by the learner individually and subjectively. So in constructivism they focus their attention on setting authentic environment of learning for each individual learner. Constructivism was developed into the learner-centered instruction in schooling nowadays. In constructivism the following instructions are very important for achievement its' goal ; problem based learning, project based learning, discussion based learning etc. These instructions are supported commonly by resource based learning. Educational resources are managed in school library totally. School library assisted instruction is the most effective one for resource based learning. And information literacy instruction by teacher librarian relates closely meta cognitive learning of reflections in constructivism. School library assisted instruction is the essential element for the practice of constructivism in schooling.

  • 블록체인은 전 세계적으로 주목받고 있는 기술이다. 이에 다양한 분야에서 블록체인을 활용하려는 시도가 이루어지고 있으나, 교육에 블록체인을 접목하려는 시도는 매우 부족하다. 이에 대한 시도로서 본 논문에서는 블록체인 기반 소셜 미디어를 교육적으로 활용할 방안을 논하였다. 이를 위하여 블록체인 기반 소셜 미디어의 특징과 활용 사례를 살펴본 결과, 특징으로는 소셜 미디어 상의 자정 작용과 자체 암호화폐 시스템이 있었으며, 그러한 특징을 활용한 긍정적 사례들도 존재하고 있었다. 본 논문에서는 이를 바탕으로 블록체인 기반 소셜 미디어를 교육에 적용하기 위한 방안으로 융합교육 프로그램과 크라우드 펀딩을 제안하였다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국가경쟁력 향상을 위한 세계적인 융합의 흐름을 대비하여 융합 기반인 교육용 로봇을 활용한 창의적 체험활동 프로그램을 설계하는데 있다. 이를 통해 해외의 정보교육 활성화 경향과는 달리 초등학교에서 소외되는 정보교육의 중요성을 부각시키고, 창의성과 인성을 강조하는 창의적 체험활동에서 자연스럽게 활용되기 위함이다. 이에 교육용 로봇을 활용한 융합교육 단계와 프로그램 교수 학습 모형의 설계를 통해 초등학교의 창의적 체험활동에서 활용될 수 있는 프로그램의 토대가 되고자 한다.

천체투영관을 활용한 천문교육 프로그램 개발(2)

  • 2010년 천체투영관을 갖춘 9개 기관 천문관련 시설의 운영실무자들에게 설문지를 배포하여 시설 현황, 운영 및 교육 프로그램에 관한 사전조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사에서 천체투영관의 운영 활성화와 교육적 활용을 높일 수 있는 방안으로 시설 보완과 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다는 의견이 많았다. 특히 초등학생들을 위한 천문교육 프로그램 개발이 시급하다는 운영자들의 공통된 의견을 들을 수 있었다. 이번 연구에서는 1)국외에서 이용되고 있는 천체투영관 활용 교육프로그램을 조사하였고, 2) 조사결과를 기초로 우리의 현재 환경과 초등 과학과 교육과정 등을 고려하여 교육프로그램을 개발 하였다. 이번 발표에서는 국외에서 활용되고 있는 교육 프로그램들과 개발된 교육용 활동지 및 가이드북을 소개 하고자 한다. 개발된 교육용 활동지와 가이드북을 적극 활용할 경우 천체투영관의 운영 활성화와 교육적 활용을 극대화 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Case Study on the Students' Attitude toward User-Created Contents in Discretionary Classes of Elementary School (UCC 활용교육에 관한 학습자 태도 연구 - 초등학교 재량교육 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • User-created content(UCC) is on the rapid increase both in terms of quantity and the quality of sharing and enjoying each others. However, not much research has been done on school's adoption of this innovative contents for educational purposes. The aim of this case study is to identify the determinants of students' attitude toward using UCC in elementary school classes. This study employs the perceived educational value, ease of use, social influence, fun, computer self-efficacy, cooperativity and concentration as the antecedents of attitude, and collected 246 survey responses from 5th and 6th grade students. The results indicate that the perceived educational value, ease of use and socal influence have significant impact on the attitude toward using UCC. It was also found that the cooperativity, fun and ease of use determine the level of perceived educational value, and that the computer self-efficacy, fun and concentration influence the perceived ease of use. Some useful suggestions, concerning the utilizing UCC for educational purpose in elementary school classes, are also presented.

An Analysis of Teachers' TPACK on Robotics in Education (로봇활용교육에 대한 교사들의 테크놀로지내용교수지식 분석)

  • Robotics has been increasing its role among factors affecting teachers' technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge(TPACK) in education. This paper reviews these factors and analyses each to identify those most influential: teachers' individual (gender, teaching experiences), professional development(PD) for technology integration, psycho-philosophical characteristics (attitude toward technology integration, constructive belief), and school characteristics.Those having the most significant influence on teachers' TPACK of robotics were PD for technology integration from individual characteristics, attitudes toward technology integration, educational belief from psycho-philosophical characteristics, and schools' atmosphere and support from school characteristics.Thisreview confirmed that PD for technology integration and school atmosphere are the two most influential factors among all factors considered. Practical implications on precautions for effective integration of robotics in education were identified.

Domestic Research Trends on Software Education Using Robot: From 2006 to 2016 (국내 로봇활용 SW교육에 대한 연구 동향: 2006년~2016년을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze domestic research trends of software education using robot, and find out implications for studies. The 108 articles from 2006 to 2016 in terms of software education using robot were analyzed. Results showd that there has been the growing number of articles, the development research was most frequently used in those studies. And most articles were studies on elementary school students. There used programming such as Scratch, NXT-G etc. and utilized robot likes Mindstorms series, Picocriket etc. Also, there applied to PBL, CPS etc. on software education using robot. Finally, Positive results were shown in learners' cognitive and affective domain. This research has an significance in terms of verifying the educational implications of software education using robot, and offering the direction of software education using robot in the future.

Investigating the perception of instructors on the use of virtual reality education (가상현실 교육적 활용에 대한 교수자의 인식조사)

  • The purpose of the study is to explore a plan for effective education using virtual reality in English education. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the perception of English education using virtual reality was comprehensively investigated and analyzed for teachers(n=20) in the field of English education. The results of the study reveal the followings: 1) Teachers are positively aware of the necessity of English education using virtual reality, but most teachers complained of a psychological burden on education using virtual reality; 2) negative responses were somewhat higher than positive responses to the expectation that virtual reality-based English content would be practical in the educational field; 3) In order to increase the effectiveness of English education using virtual reality, it is necessary to share experiences for educational experience of virtual reality and need to provide various virtual reality contents; and 4) For virtual reality educational application, there is a high demand for teaching and learning method education and training using virtual reality and provision of guidelines for education using virtual reality.
