  • Virtual reality is actively applied in the fields of games, entertainment, communication, sports, and architecture. In particular, many virtual reality-based education systems are being developed in the field of education, creating efficient learning effects. In addition, virtual reality-based education is used in areas such as maintenance, fighter control, medical care, and firefighting as it can maximize the educational effect through the mastery process of the function itself through the curriculum as well as indirect experiences of dangerous situations that are difficult to experience. However, due to technical limitations, lack of contents, and lack of theoretical research, the level of application of military education and training is still insufficient. This paper aim to contribute to the development of a virtual reality-based education system as a military training system by developing a high-quality drop training system applicable to military group descent training, studying key technologies and implementation methods necessary for development.

  • As the 4th industrial revolution has progressed in recent years, the importance of robot education in elementary school education is increasing. In this paper, I suggested robot education framework to consider conceptual understanding and learning activities based on the 2014, 2015 KAIE software education standard curriculum for elementary school. The framework is reconstructed the 7 stages, In order to generalize the standardized model of the software curriculum, the achievement criteria should be prepared according to the content system of the curriculum considering the conceptual understanding and learning activities proposed in this paper, and if the educational contents are developed and utilized, it is expected to contribute to the activation of robot education in addition to elementary school software education.

  • 발전하는 IT 기술은 사회, 문화, 교육 등 전 산업 분야에 많은 영향을 미치고 있으며, e-book 및 콘텐츠 시장은 여러 산업분야에서 주목받고 있는 중요한 기술개발분야 중에 한 부분이라고 할 수 있다. 하지만 현재까지 e-book의 경우 비 표준화 확장, 단 방향성 비 상호작용, 2차원적인 콘텐츠 사용 등 여러가지 한계적 사용에 문제점을 가지고 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 WebGL 3D 콘텐츠를 이용한 인터렉티브 가상 시뮬레이션 e-book 협업 저작도구를 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 연구에서는 표준화된 HTML5 기술과 IDPF에서 제안된 EPUB3를 통해 기존의 e-book 활용의 한계점들을 극복하고, WebGL 웹 표준 기술을 적용하여 인터렉티브 가상 시뮬레이션 사용이 가능한 전자책 그래픽 요소를 구현 하였다. 향후 본 연구를 통해 표준화된 e-book 콘텐츠 시장의 활성화와 효율적인 교육 도구의 발전을 기대한다.

  • Students meet with many problems during programming education in computer education. In part of computer education, computer programming education have been researched. And the research have said that computer programming education have helped to increasing of students' creativity during find answer of problem through flexible thought. Especially, elementary school students, who learn to programming language for the first time, feel difficulty, when they learn computer programming. But the use of EPL reduce difficulties. So Students can focus on the thinking. Therefore, in this paper, a draft was produced and applied to observe the creative elements increasing of elementary school students. Than modify and supplement the draft through improvements to a draft obtained by applying. Also, made the educational material that can be used directly in the field.

  • A variety of educational digital contents are provided for both distance and on-line learning on the Internet recently. Especially, as edutainment fields are activated, fun-centered educational contents are improved so much. But it is still lack of high quality, which could lead a learner to study by himself without losing enjoyment for an appropriate duration (about $1{\sim}2$ years). A system, which enforces learning motivation for a learners positive learning, is demanded. This paper shows the planning and the implementation of learning Reward System (LRS) which is providing rewards a learner for achievement of the teaming object which is suggested by him (her) and his (her) mentors. LRS is aiming at enhancement of educational effects by providing both amusements and rewards employing edutainment contents.

The Development of Application for Culinary Practice Education using Smart Device (스마트 디바이스 기반 조리실습교육용 앱 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to produce and distribute a smart device based educational application for culinary practice. This study was performed from Jul. 1 to Dec. 30, 2012. The design of the application is composed of the theoretical contents, making methods, practice video and evaluation questions of Western cuisine among the contents of the culinary practice education. In addition, the notice and Q&A were added for the interaction between teachers and learners. For this study, 31 main dishes' pictures, 155 pictures for making processes by menu, 31 recipes, 31 cooking tips, 372 evaluation questions and 31 cooking videos about 31 menus were produced. The contents produced as above were directly inserted at 'http://kongju-fn.dslink.co.kr/super/index.html' to produce the application. This application can be found through searching with the word of 'yoribaksa'. This study can be considered to be significant in that this application was produced in the situation of the absence of any other previous applications for culinary practice education.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented edutainment platform that can be effectively applied to developmental disabilities for their education and treatment of sensibility and intelligence training. We developed embedded hardware and contents authoring tool to make multimedia contents operated on the hardware, a management tool to provide result of training, and a real-time monitoring tool for observing the state of study. The hardware is designed by considering the characteristics of developmental disabilities and provides visual, auditory and tactile sense to assist sensibility training for their attention. User-friendly and easy-to-use authoring tool enable teachers and non-specialist to make educational contents. Also the real-time monitoring tool make us to observe user's status even in the outside of classroom. The management tool stores result of training and make us to review the result for further steps. Using this edutainment platform, efficient repetitive training is possible without restriction of time and location. Also when it applied to practical education, we can recognize that our system is effective on improving the ability of attention and studying.

  • 스마트 기기의 보급 활성화로 최근 주목받고 있는 스마트교육은 다양한 영역을 포함하고 있지만 주로 스마트 디바이스를 활용한 학습방법과 교육콘텐츠 개발 등 학습역량을 높이는데 집중되어 있다. 그러나 성공적인 교육을 위해서는 무엇보다도 학교생활 전반에 걸쳐 학습자와의 소통과 교감이 우선되어야 한다. 이를 위해서 대학과 일선 학과에서는 학생들과 소통을 위해 오프라인 기반 게시판이나 홈페이지를 활용해왔지만 더 이상 스마트 기기에 익숙해져 있는 학생들과 효과적으로 소통을 할 수 있는 수단이 되지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 모바일 웹앱기반 학생용 스마트 플래너 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 학과의 프로그램 공지와 같은 단순 정보 전달에 국한되지 않고 학생이 스스로 학사일정을 체크하면서 자기 관리를 할 수 있는 수단을 제공해준다. 또한 다양한 학과 프로그램에 학생들이 자발적으로 참여할 수 있도록 유도하기 위한 인센티브 시스템 운영, SNS를 활용한 상호 커뮤니케이션을 포함하고 있다.

  • 가상 현실과 현실 세계가 공존하는 증강 현실은 현재 및 향후 실감미디어 콘텐츠에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 증강 현실은 게임, 엔터테인먼트, 교육 분야 등에서 응용에 따라 다양한 기술들의 결합이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 교육적 효과를 주는 버블 포핑 증강 현실 기법을 제안한다. 버블 포핑 시스템은 비디오 입력용 웹캠, 마커 패턴 영상, 그래픽 구 버블 객체, 그래픽 마우스 등으로 구성된다. 일반 마우스의 이동에 따라 그래픽 마우스가 3차원 공간상에서 이동하면서 버블과의 충돌이 발생하게 되면, 충돌시 발생하는 버블의 이벤트로 동적 움직임, 터짐 등의 버블 효과를 구현할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 충돌 검출은 카메라와 마커 패턴의 좌표계 및 버블의 3차원 공간위치, 그리고 3차원 모델 데이터를 이용하여 구현한다. 제안 시스템은 ARToolkit을 기반으로 제작되었으며, 시각적인 마커 기반 시스템으로 버블의 움직임과 사용자의 인터랙션을 통해, 버블 포핑의 증강현실을 전달한다. 향후, 현재 개발 중인 포스 피드백 기능이 있는 진동촉각공간 햅틱 마우스와 접목하여 보다 실감적인 증강현실 기술을 개발할 예정이다.

Development of Educational Materials as a Card News Format for Milk Intake Education of the Elderly in Korea (노인 대상 우유 섭취 교육을 위한 카드뉴스 개발)

  • This study was performed to develop educational materials in the form of card news that can be easily accessed on mobile phones or the Internet for milk intake education of the elderly based on the scientific evidence and their needs. The themes included in the card news were selected based on the literature and focus group interviews with 10 elderly individuals (78.10±6.66 years old). For the selected themes, information that elderly users most want to know was selected for the purpose of effective communication, while reflecting the eating habits, lifestyle, living environment, and nutrition and health status of the elderly in Korea. The draft of the card news was reviewed by the researcher, consulted by experts, and surveyed with 50 elderly individuals (70.44±5.16 years old). Based on the results of the review, consultations, and the survey, a final draft of the card news consisting of 12 pages was completed. The card news of the present study is expected to be an effective educational material considering the high level of satisfaction (higher than 4 on the 5-point scales) indicated by the survey respondents. Therefore this card news is expected to help increase milk intake through friendly milk education for the elderly.
