The Strategy for the Position and Development of the Land Logistics System of the Korean Peninsula (한반도의 동북아 육상물류체계 위상과 발전 전략에 관한 연구)

  • Northeast Asia is changing rapidly, including becoming an increasingly important part of the world economy. Various logistical systems and networks are being established in this area, including South and North Korea, China, Japan, Russia, and Mongolia. Thus, a new systematic logistical network and development strategy is required. The division of the Korean peninsula has for a long time made the region ineffective in terms of land logistics. South Korea's connection to Eurasia is blocked by North Korea, which means it is essentially treated as an island. Furthermore, South Korea does not have an efficient logistics system or effective vision and strategy. Northeast Asia has the potential to be one of the largest economic communities in the world, similar to the EU and North America. Thus, a united Korea can play an important role as the land bridge of Northeast Asia and the logistical hub of the region. This study reviews the logistical position, tasks, and problems of the Korean peninsula and suggests a desirable development strategy and vision. Specifically, after examining the conditions for a land logistical system, focusing on railways, this study proposes several future-oriented development strategies and tactics that will position the peninsula as a logistical hub in Northeast Asia. We anticipate that this study will serve as the basis for future research that will investigate the topics presented here in more detail.

Rice Production, Distribution, and Utilization in China (중국의 쌀 생산, 유통 및 이용현황)

  • 쌀은 중국에서 중요한 식량작물로 제9차 5개년 계획(1966-2000년) 동안 재배면적 31.4백만 ha이며 생산량은 단위 ha당 6,303kg으로 198백만톤에 이르며 이는 재배면적으로는 식량작물의 27.7%, 그리고 생산량으로는 전체식량작물의 40%를 각각 점하고 있다. 이러한 재배면적과 생산량은 각각 세계전체면적과 생산량의 20.7%와 33.7%를 차지하는 많은 량이다. 중국의 남부지역은 전지역의 73.5%가 이모작으로 재배되며 주품종은 Indica이다. 중국의 중부지역은 이모작과 일모작의 재배형태가 2:3으로 공존하고 있으며 양쯔강 이북은 주로 일모작의 형태이다. 중국의 쌀 재배면적은 1960년대 이후 점차 증가하다가 1980년대 후반으로 정체되었다가 최근 90년대 말에 이르러서는 재배면적의 감소가 가속화되고 있으나 단보당 생산량은 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 2001년 중국의 쌀소비량은 138백만톤으로 이의 85.2%는 식량용으로, 5.8%는 사료용으로, 1.3%는 가공용, 1.5-2.0%는 수출용으로 그리고 1.2%는 종자용으로 소비되었다. WTO체제에 들어서도 중국의 쌀 생산에는 크게 영향을 받지않을 것으로 여겨지는데 그 이유로는 충분한 생산능려과 자급률, 쌀의 낮은(4%) 국제교역비율, 총생산량에 대한 낮은 쿼터비율 등을 들 수 있다. 그러나 WTO체제 가입에 따른 압력 또한 존재하는 것이 사실인데 그것은 낮은 품질, 국제가격보다 높은 국내가격 등을 들 수 있다. 향후 중국 쌀의 발전적 전략들로는 쌀의 안정적 발전을 지속하는 일, 쌀 재배구조 조정과 함께 높은 미질을 가지는 품종육종, 기계화를 비롯한 경작기술의 발달, 쌀과 부산물 가공기술의 개발연구, 특징 기능을 함유하는 유전공학적 기술의 적용, 토지와 도시화 그리고 식량순환에 시스템의 개혁 등 과학기술을 고양하는 일 등을 들 수 있다.TEX>$\times$10cm의 소식일수록 짧아서 재식주수와 경장은 정의상관이 인정되었다. 9 경직경은 30$\times$10cm, 40$\times$10cm의 소식일수록 크고 20$\times$10cm의 밀식일수록 작았다 10. 수량구성요소인 주근장과 수량인 건근중은 30$\times$10cm, 40$\times$10cm의 재식주수가 적을수록 높아서 재식주수와는 부의 상관이 인정되었다. 11 이상과 같은 결과로 보아 경직경이 크고 주근장이 길어서 10a당 건근중이 많은 30$\times$10cm(33주/$m^2$)가 알맞은 재식거리였다.에 대한 인식을 새롭게 하고 농약취급시의 건강장해예방행동을 촉구하는 등의 효과도 높은 것으로 예방의학적인 유용성이 크다고 볼 수 있다. 미침을 알 수 있었다. 대두 단백질로 코팅된 golden delicious는 상온에서60일 동안 보관하였을 경우, 사과표피의 색도 변화를 현저히 지연시킴을 확인하였다. 또한 control과 비교하여 성공적으로 사과에 코팅하였으며, 상온에서 보관하여을 때 사과의 품질을 30일 이상 연장하는 효과를 관찰하였다. 이들 결과로부터 대두단백질 필름이 과일 등의 포장제로서 이용할 가능성을 확인하였다.로 [-wh] 겹의문사는 복수 의미를 지닐 수 없 다. 그러면 단수 의미는 어떻게 생성되는가\ulcorner 본 논문에서는 표면적 형태에도 불구하고 [-wh]의미의 겹의문사는 병렬적 관계의 합성어가 아니라 내부구조를 지니지 않은 단순한 단어(minimal $X^{0}$ elements)로 가정한다. 즉, [+wh] 의미의 겹의문사는 동일한 구성요 소를 지닌 병렬적 합성어([$

Industrial Fluctuations and Locality of Busan with Records (기록으로 본 부산의 산업변동과 로컬리티)

  • This study analyzes the process of growth of Busan from a fishing village to the capital city of South Gyeongsang Province and the central city of transportation and commerce, and an industry with records. The results of the analysis are as follows: after the port opened in 1876, there has been a decline in settlement spaces in Dongnae; on the other hand, there has been an increase in migration spaces around the port of Busan. Waegwan (倭館) nearby Yongdusan Mountain (龍頭山) was changed to the Japanese concession; thus, the number of Japanese moving into Busan had rapidly increased. As a result, the Japanese government carried out reclamation work for securing available lands for the construction of port facilities and other facilities. The Japanese government built public offices and houses, as well as production facilities for daily necessities around the port of Busan. The opening of the Seoul Busan railway (京釜線) and the cross-channel liner between Busan and Shimonoseki (釜關連絡船) led to the growth of Busan and the development of its status. At this time, as the main industry of Busan was trade, Busan had grown as a commercial city. As Busan had grown as a central city of transportation and commerce, the provincial government building of Gyeongsangnam-do (慶尙南道) moved to Busan. Thus, Busan became the central city of local politics and administration. After the Land Survey Project, a large scale of farmers were recruited for low-wage work in the new port. Because of the abolition of the corporation law, Japanese capitalists moved into their colony in Busan. There, large-scale factories, such as the Joseon cotton textile factory, were established. Through this process, the locality of Busan was changed from a fishing village to a commercial city and, finally, to a city of commerce and industry.

Emergy Analysis Overview of Korea (한국의 자연환경과 경제에 대한 EMERGY분석)

  • An emergy analysis of the main energy flows driving the economy of humans and life support systems was made including environmental energies, fuels, and imports, all expressed as solar emjoules. The total emergy use (4, 373 E20 sej/yr) is 90 per cent from imported sources, fuels and goods and services. The emergy flows from the environment are modest, because the share of global inputs such as ruin and geological uplift flux is modest. Consequently, the ratio of outside investment to attracting natural resources is already large, like other industrialized countries. The population level is already in excess of carrying capacity. The emergy use per person in Korea indicates a moderate emergy standard of living, even though the indigenous resource is very poor. If the present economy were running entirely on stored reserves of fuels, soils, woods, etc., it would last about 2 years. Its carrying capacity for steady state on its renewable sources is only 3.3 million people, compared to 43.3 million in 1991. Continued availability of foreign oil at a favorable balance of emergy trade, currently about 7 to 1 net emergy, is the basis for present economic activity and must decrease as the net emergy of foreign oil purchased goes down. Close economic integration with Middle East may determine how long this is possible in the future.

공업화(工業化) 속도(速度)에 대한 세계시장(世界市場) 규모(規模)의 영향(影響)

  • 19세기(世紀) 중반(中盤)에 시작된 선진국(先進國)들의 공업화(工業化)는 약 100년이 소요(所要)되었는데 동(東)아시아 신흥공업국(新興工業國)(NICs)들의 경우에는 20~30년이 소요(所要)된 것으로 추정된다. 후자(後者)의 공업화(工業化) 경험은 흔히 '동(東)아시아의 기적(奇蹟)'이라 불린다. 그러나 이 고속성장(高速成長) 혹은 압축성장(壓縮成長)이 가능했던 이유가 무엇이냐에 관해 경제학계(經濟學界) 내외(內外)에서 그리고 국내외(國內外)에서 일치된 의견이 없고, 특히 이 과정에서의 정부(政府)의 역할(役割)을 어떻게 평가하느냐에 관하여는 더욱 그러하다. 신고전(新古典) 경제학(經濟學)은 이 나라들의 가격왜곡(價格歪曲)의 최소화(最小化), 시장기구(市場機構)의 활용(活用), 국제분업(國際分業)에의 참여(參與)에서 주된 이유를 찾고 있는데 비해, 소위 수정주의(修正主義)는 이같은 견해가 사실과 크게 괴리가 있으며 '기적(奇蹟)'은 시장(市場)의 자원배분(資源配分)에 대한 정부개입(政府介入)이 주효(奏效)하였기 때문이라 주장한다. '동(東)아시아의 기적(奇蹟)'은 동(東)아시아란 지역(地域)에서 일어난 현상일 뿐 아니라 20세기(世紀) 후반(後半)에 일어난 동시대적(同時代的) 현상이기도 하다. 공업화(工業化)를 이룬 나라들은 모두 세계시장(世界市場)과 활발히 교역(交易)하였다는 공통점이 있는데, 세계시장(世界市場)의 규모(規模)를 대표하는 세계총수출(世界總輸出)이 19세기(世紀) 중반(中盤)과 20세기(世紀) 후반(後半) 사이에 실질기준(實質基準)으로 100배 이상 커졌다. 이 글은 세계시장(世界市場)의 규모증대(規模增大)가 동(東)아시아 NICs들의 고속성장(高速成長)의 이유(理由)였을 가능성(可能性)을 이론적(理論的)으로, 실증적(實證的)으로 검토해본 것이다. 이론적(理論的)으로는, A Lewis의 무한노동공급(無限勞動供給)(unlimited supply of labor)이 존재하는 경제(經濟)에서는 세계시장((世界市場) 상대가격(相對價格)이 불변(不變)인 한 제조업내(製造業內) 노동집약도(勞動集約度)가 높은 산업(産業)에 대한 투자유인(投資誘因)이 지속된다는 점에 고속성장(高速成長)의 근거가 있다고 보았다. 이러한 투자(投資)의 지속은 제조업부문(製造業部門)의 산출(産出)과 고용(雇傭)이 경제(經濟)에서 점하는 비중(比重)을 낮은 자원비용(資源費用)으로 증대(增大)시킬 것이기 때문이다. 실증분석(實證分析)에서는, 필요한 통계자료(統計資料)가 있는 19개국의 공업화(工業化) 경험(經驗)을 검토하였는데, 한 나라가 공업화(工業化)를 시작하는 시점(時點)의 세계총수출(世界總輸出)이 클수록 그 나라의 공업화(工業化) 소요기간(所要期間)이 단축(短縮)된다는 매우 확실한 증거가 있었다. 또한 동(東)아시아 NICs의 공업화(工業化) 소요기간(所要期間)이 선진국(先進國) 경험에 비해 약 1/4의 길이로, 혹은 그보다 더 짧게 단축(短縮)된 것은 거의 모두 세계총수출(世界總輸出) 규모(規模)의 증가(增加)로 설명될 수 있었다. 이같은 이론적(理論的) 근거(根據)와 실증적(實證的) 증거(證據)를 감안할 때, 우리 경제(經濟)는 정부주도형(政府主導型)이었으나 고속성장(高速成長)을 가능하게 한 것은 정부주도(政府主導)보다는 그 규모(規模)가 대폭 증대한 세계시장(世界市場)에서의 국제분업(國際分業)이었다.

  • This study is to analyze the present situation of Incheon design and to research Incheon industrial design with the special character of the city. Next, the final purpose is to apply this study for the Incheon International Design Competition event that will be held first time sponsored by Incheon Metropolitan. Incheon is Metropolitan which has 2.6 million people and the entrance of seoul Metropolitan which is the center of export industry and one of the greatest industrial city. It is growing the hub of International trade city of the twenty-first centry due to the opening of Incheon International Airport and the new development of Song-do city. The industrial structure of Incheon is mostly consist of small industry centered which has a lack of design development capacity, and it has a little insufficient design-related institutes which can educate the design personnel. It has only two universities and six junior colleges. Especially, design-related academics and exhibitions are rare nearby Seoul area. I will contribute the study which makes the industrial character and the necessity of design that can be possible through the Incheon International Design Exhibition, and it will promote the backward design industry and economy of Incheon that compared to other regions of Korea. And, I am going to utilize as basic data bases for exercising advanced Incheon Industrial Design Competition. Furthermore, I would like to contribute the image improvement of new International Incheon Metropolitan through the training of excellent design experts and finding design-related personnels which can be accomplished the cooperation among local autonomy, industries and schools.

An Analysis of Maritime E-commerce Transportation between Korea and China (대중국 전자상거래 해상운송 기종점 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the flow of e-commerce freight transported by maritime transportation for China and to identify the characteristics of cargo by region/item for finding the ways to promote e-commerce export to China. Thus, this study analyzed the e-commerce export and import data on cargo moved via maritime transportation between Korea and China from 2015 to 1Q18, using Origin-Destination(OD) analysis and visualization techniques. The results indicated that the largest number of Chinese e-commerce cargoes were imported at Incheon Port, which has a clearance facility for e-commerce cargo. In the case of Pyeongtaek Port, e-commerce cargo imported from China has transported to Incheon Customs again, causing the inefficiency through the customs clearance process. Unlike the case of e-commerce imports where the final destination is distributed nationwide, e-commerce products exported to China through maritime transportation were found to be mainly confined to Seoul and Gyeonggi provinces, where freight forwarding companies and forwarders are concentrated. In addition, unlike e-commerce import cargoes, e-commerce items exported through maritime transportation were mainly confined to clothing and cosmetics, and export volume was also less than imports. This study provides some possible strategies to increase the volume of freight and to attract export products as follows: i) to diversify products exported to China through e-commerce transshipment, ii) to diversify export items by building the cold chain in e-commerce transport with China.

A Feasibility Study on Rail-Ferry Systems: Focused on Sino-Korea Transport Routes (한.중간 열차페리운행에 관한 연구 - 수도권항만을 중심으로 -)

  • A rapid growth of interregional trade between China and Korea requires new development and expansion of ports. Currently, there is no rail-ferry system between China and Korea, however, a rapid growth of car-ferry industry shows possibilities. Several candidate cities and regions in East part of China and West part of Korea are selected. We identified times in clearance and station-to-station services as major benefits. We compared three transport modes including candidate cities and regions: container ships, car-ferry and rail-ferry. We used AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) as an evaluation method to select most competitive rail-ferry routes between two countries. We also used 7-point Likert scales to find out bottlenecks and factors to introduce rail-ferry services as other questionnaires. As a result, Rail Ferry System(RFS) is a little expensive due to wagon loading efficiency in cargo hold of the ship compared to Car Ferry System or Liner Shipping System. But RFS is recommendable in case of Block Train transport between Korea and EU area by may of TCR and TSR comparing Car Ferry System, because it can reduce total transport cost and connecting procedure at border lines of passing countries.

Analyzing the Effect of COVID-19 on the Operational Efficiency of Asia's Major Container Ports: A Data Envelopment Analysis (COVID-19 위기가 아시아 주요 컨테이너항만의 운영효율성에 미치는 영향)

  • The COVID-19 virus has generated major shockwaves in all spheres of human life since its outbreak. Maritime transport (both cargo and passenger) is one of the industries most heavily affected, yet over 80% of the world cargo is transported by sea. This study analyzes maritime port operational efficiencies before and after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to determine whether the pandemic has caused major differences in the operational efficiencies of many leading Asian maritime container ports via data envelopment analysis (DEA). The results of both the CCR and BCC models reveal that overall, efficiency during the COVID-19 pandemic has been higher than before the pandemic despite a few inefficiencies. This implies that the pandemic has so far not has major consequences for the operational efficiency of maritime ports. However, two ports (Busan and Guangzhou) should adjust the scale sizes and technical capacities of their operations to improve performance.

Genetic relatedness of white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) from imported frozen shrimp (수입 냉동새우에서 검출된 WSSV의 유전학적 근연관계 조사)

  • In this study, of the imported shrimps between 2017 and 2020, we investigated white spot syndrome virus (WSSV), covert mortality nodavirus (CMNV) and decapod iridescent virus 1 (DIV-1). Of the imported shrimps (a total of 29 groups), WSSV was detected as 31% (9/29) by nested PCR assay. And CMNV and DIV-1 were not identified in this study. To investigate the genetic relatedness of WSSV identified from imported shrimp, VR 14/15 region showed WSSV genomic variable loci was compared with reference isolates. Among the nine WSSV-positive samples, VR 14/15 region was amplified in only a sample (20-CH-1 isolate, imported from China in 2020). And the 20-CH-1 isolate showed 99.8% identity with WSSV-IN-05-01 which was reported in India in 2005, suggesting that those of WSSV have been spread from India to China. Furthermore, although the pathogenicity of WSSV identified from frozen shrimp was not evaluated, the international trade of diseased frozen shrimps could be led to the potential risk of virus transmission.
