The purpose of this study is to identify and develop a rubric for assessing the practice test in national technical qualification with validity and objectivity. There are three specific purposes for this study. First. we suggest some issues to consider when we develop a rubric. Second, we suggest the general procedure and main factors in developing a rubric. Third, we identify some problems and suggest some improvement measures for the rubric in national technical qualification examination. The procedure for developing a rubric is as follows; decisions of task, the relation with goal, classify of performance level, and validity. Also, there are five main factors as follows; contents, criteria, practicality, credibility, and objectivity.

Problem development is important to Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and is key to the creativity and problem-solving skills of successful learners. The purpose of this study is to have PBL classes that effectively materialize problem development stages, and to develop learning using problems suitable for elementary school English Science classes. In this study, the steps for developing the problems are identifying educational content, identifying learners' characteristics, discovering problems, setting up roles and situations, and writing problems. Based on these steps, five PBL problems were developed by selecting a subject suitable for the PBL method of an English Science class, which is one of the English curriculums in elementary schools. Creative thinking, problem-solving skills, presentation skills, confidence, self-directed learning, cooperation, and communication skills are required in the rapidly changing society of the 21st century, rather than teacher-centered instruction, acquiring knowledge for correct answers only, and uniform assessments, which still take place in many English education settings. Therefore, developing problems suitable for PBL learning should be continuously studied.

The purposes of this study are to analyze sentence structures of word problems suggested in educational math programs for the 2nd grade elementary students and error patterns in sentence interpretation, and examine how sentence structures influence on errors during sentence comprehension. Based on the results of the analysis on 168 word problems suggested in math textbooks for the 2nd grade elementary students and error patterns observed while 160 the 2nd grade elementary students attempted to solve math word problems, easy and simple vocabularies are repeatedly used in the sentence structures of word problems and specific real life materials such as fruits, books, the number of people and etc. were repeatedly used. 51.56% of errors in sentence interpretation observed was higher than 39.20% of calculation errors and backtracking operation, a length of sentences, the numbers used in questions and off were analyzed to be involved in the errors in interpretation. Therefore, it is very important to make word problems from a student's points of view rather than a teacher's point of view and the study suggests that teachers help students learn basic sentence interpretation skills.

What is the life of an assistant professor working at a college of education look like? The purpose of this paper is to describe and understand the life of an assistant professor as a science education researcher and as a teacher educator from exploring his life in a local national university. The researcher (I) conducted an autobiographic research in which I reconstructed and reflected my life by myself. I collected data/records on the life of myself, and developed a framework to classify them. The life of an assistant professor was categorized into the official life at the university and the personal life, and the former was sorted into education, research, and service and the latter was divided into personal and family. From the various profiles of my life, I found the main theme of 'change' and 'learning,' from which I reconstructed my life in narratives. I can express myself as an assistant professor with 'from myself to others,' 'balancing society and isolation,' and 'increasing room to maneuver through continuous learning.' I reflected my life and the role of a professor at a college of education, and discussed the educational implication of the result.

The purpose of this study is to uncover weaknesses in the constructivism in mathematics education and to search for ways to complement these deficiencies. We contemplate the relationship between the capability of construction and the performance of it, with the view of the 'Twofold-Structure of Mind.' From this, it is claimed that the construction of mathematical knowledge should be to experience and reveal the upper layer of Mind, the Reality. Based on the examination on the conflict and relation between the structuralism and the constructivism, with reference to the 'theory of principle' and the 'theory of material force' in Neo-Confucianist theory, it is asserted that the construction of mathematical knowledge must be the construction of the structure of mathematical knowledge. To comprehend the processes involved in the construction of the structure of mathematical knowledge, the epistemology of Michael Polanyi is studied. And also, the theory of mathematization, the historico-genetic principle, and the theory on the levels of mathematical thinking are reinterpreted. Finally, on the basis of the theory of twofold-structure, the roles and attitudes of teachers and students are discussed.

This dissertation is aimed to investigate the reason why a contextualization is needed to help the meaningful teaching-learning concerning multiplications and divisions of fractions, the way to make the contextualization possible, and the methods which enable us to use it effectively. For this reason, this study intends to examine the differences of situations multiplying or dividing of fractions comparing to that of natural numbers, to recognize the changes in units by contextualization of multiplication of fractions, the context is set which helps to understand the role of operator that is a multiplier. As for the contextualization of division of fractions, the measurement division would have the left quantity if the quotient is discrete quantity, while the quotient of the measurement division should be presented as fractions if it is continuous quantity. The context of partitive division is connected with partitive division of natural number and 3 effective learning steps of formalization from division of natural number to division of fraction are presented. This research is expected to help teachers and students to acquire meaningful algorithm in the process of teaching and learning.

The early stage of Korean language education was to understand grammar. However, recent Korean language education aims to improve expressive ability for smooth communication. Hence, educational drama for education has gained attention as one of the effective ways of improving communication skills. Educational drama provides an actual conversational situation in which one can use appropriate words and grammar depending on the situation. Non-verbal expression such as body language and facial expression could be picked up so one also improves one's communicative abilities naturally. This means that educational drama shares Korean language education's goal of improving communicative ability. Moreover, the student becomes the core of the activity and finds solutions through cooperation with others, and this also helps improve social skills and self-esteem. This thesis covers methods of having interviews, re-writing texts to scripts, writing up post-script by imagining the following text, role-playing, and improving expressive ability by debating educational theatrical techniques. To make these activities successful, good quality VOD and learning materials shall be developed and used. Also, efficient training programs shall be created so that teachers make use of what they learn and improve their teaching skills.

The purpose of this study is to analyze comprehensively Jeju Self-Governing School Policy (JSSP) by using the four dimensional views of policy theory frame and to suggest its improvements. The results are as follows: First, JSSP should improve differentiation of curriculum and locality centered on local basis, wide application of the special laws, and professional accountability. Second, JSSP should improve the policy structure of educational governance and differentiated standard of students achievement assessment, resolve equity issue, and secure the self-finance of the schools. Third, JSSP should improve localization of educational administration, administrative and financial support for teachers, parent's empowerment, and students understanding of the policy, and expand principal invitation system, Fourth, JSSP should improve public relations, the roles of the Council and professionalism of assessors, and adopt efficiency approach into the assessment system.

본 연구는 다중참여역할수행게임(Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, 이하 MMORPG)이 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 효과를 살펴보는데 목적이 있으며, 초등학교에 재학중인 4, 5, 6학년 3개 학급을 실험 대상으로 4주간 실험하였다. 실험집단은 방과 후 수업시간을 이용하여 일주일에 2시간 이상 MMORPG를 활용한 한자수업을 학습하도록 지도하였고, 통제집단은 교사의 수업 진행으로 학습하였다. 실험 전 두 집단 간의 자기주도 학습능력에 대한 동질성을 검증하기 위하여 자기주도 학습준비도 검사(Self-Directed Learning Readiness Scale, 이하 SDLRS)를 이용하여 자기주도 학습능력 사전검사를 실시하였고, 4주간 실험이 끝난 후 자기주도 학습능력 검사의 차이를 알아보았다. 더 나아가 하위요소인 효율적인 학습자라는 개념, 학습에 대한 솔선수범 및 독립성, 창의성, 자신의 학습에 대한 책임감, 기본학습 기능과 문제해결 기술, 미래 지향적인 자기이해 학습기회에 대한 개방성, 학습에 대한 애정과 열성을 다변량분산분석(MANOVA)를 실시하여 통계분석 하였다. 이러한 연구결과들을 바탕으로 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있다. 첫째, MMORPG를 활용한 한자학습과 일반교실 한자학습은 독립표본 t검정 결과 자기주도 학습능력에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 즉, MMORPG를 활용한 한자학습이 일반교실수업에 의한 학습보다 높은 자기주도 학습능력 정도를 보여 주었다. 둘째, MMORPG를 활용한 한자학습이 하위요소 간에 어떠한 여향을 미치는가를 알아보기 위해 실시한 MANOVA 결과 효율적인 학습자라는 개념, 학습에 대한 솔선수범 및 독립성, 창의성, 자신의 학습에 대한 책임감, 기본학습 기능과 문제해결 기술, 미래 지향적인 자기이해에서는 유의미한 것으로 나왔지만 학습기회에 대한 개방성, 학습에 대한 애정과 열성에서는 유의미한 결과를 얻지 못하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference of economic condition of students, that is, the difference of basic information utilization ability stemming from education gap. First, we investigated information literacy for high school freshmen who can control the difference of information utilization education experience by school. In doing the research, 629 high school students in the metropolitan city were surveyed using web. we analyzed the educational gap between schools depending on their economic conditions and analyzed the correlation between education gap and basic information utilization ability. As a result, it was found that there is a very significant negative correlation between the ratio of students who get support for school expenses and basic information utilization ability. Second, regression equation was produced through regression analysis of information literacy regression to analyze the effect of educational gap on basic information literacy. In addition, it seeks to consider alternatives that can improve the inequality of information literacy which is derived from education gap.
