위성탑재용 카메라 광학부 예비설계

  • Some kinds of precision optical systems for spaceborne high resolution cameras were designed at preliminary design level and an optical design for a hyperspectral imager was performed for its development model. A Cassegrain-based catadioptric system and an unobscured reflective triplet system are illustrated in detail for spaceborne high resolution electro optical cameras which have performance of 5m resolution at an altitude of 685km and the design are evaluated in its spot-diagram and MTF to prove they have good performance enough to implement the requirements for realistic satellite payload taking the fabrication conditions and the on-orbit operation into consideration. For the development of hyperspectral imager as a next-generation payload, an optical system has been designed and elaborated. It can be divided into two parts, a catoptric telescope forming an off-axis 2 mirror type and a dispersive spectrometer which comprises collimator, grating and reimaging lens cell. From its optical design to the system characteristics are shown with the MTF performance reaching 25% approximately.

Optical System Design Composed of Spherical SELFOC Lens and Aspherical Plastic Lens for Mobile Phone Camera (1매의 구면 SELFOC 렌즈와 1매의 비구면 플라스틱 렌즈로 구성된 카메라폰용 광학계의 설계)

  • We designed optical systems for a mobile phone camera using a spherical SELFOC lens and an aspherical plastic lens. Since the radial index distribution gives an additional design parameter for optical design, an aspheric lens could be replaced by a spherical lens. The imaging performances of the design were compared with conventional 2P design composed of two aspherical plastic lenses. In the first stage of study, we designed 1GRIN 1P lenses by using commercially available SELFOC materials. But, the conventional 2P lenses had better performance than the 1GRIN 1P lenses. In the 1GRIN 1P designs, the performance depends on index variation of GRIN material, the larger variation gives the better performance. Hence, we tried to design by using fictitious GRIN materials which have large index variation. We found if the index variation could be increased to about 3 times that of currently available SELFOC materials, the 1GRIN 1P lens will have equivalent or better performance than the conventional 2P design.

  • A IR zoom telescope system was designed for thermal imagery. The magnification is 4-14 and the focal length of eye piece is 25 mm. First, the frame was built up with first order optics and started design with 3rd order optics. There after, we can get the final design by optimization technique through finite ray tracing. The optical system was optimized with ray aberration or angular aberration including higer orders. Finally, The performance of the optical system was accessed by calculating the diffraction MTF from the design data. data.

  • 원점(초점)에 놓인 광원(점광원)으로부터 방사된 ray들을 광축과 평행하게 진행하도록 그 진로의 방향을 바꾸어주는 것이 대형등명기의 광학부(중심렌즈부, 굴절링부, 절사프리즘부) 역할이다. 이러한 광학부에 대한 설계방법은 일부 서적에 소개되고 있지만, 광학부 설계시 각 부분마다 설계한계에 부딪히게 된다. 본 논문에서는 각각의 광학부에 대한 제한된 설계를 고찰하고 새로운 설계법을 도출하여 용이한 설계를 위해 설계법을 체계화시키는 작업에 대하여 설명하고 이 작업의 타당함을 확인하기 위해 계산에 의한 Ray Tracing과 배광예측프로그램인 Photopia 시뮬레이션의 결과를 제시하였다.

  • An F/1.2 infrared optical system that involves two aspheric BD-2 lenses and an aspheric diffractive surface was designed over $8-14{\mu}m$ with a field angle of $15.2^{\circ}$. The system may be used in uncooled cameras and is analyzed using beam synthesis propagation (BSP). The diffractive surface is modeled as a physical surface with a given thickness, and results are compared with those obtained by conventional methods, such as the exit-pupil method and a method which superposes diffraction orders.

  • Laser Scanning Unit (LSU), which is one of the core parts of laser printer, consists of LD Module, cylinder lens, polygon mirror and f$\theta$ lens. After making an initial design on each part, we optimized the one which satisfies the user specification. The optimized optical system has diffraction limited performance for the slit size of 2.7 mm$\times$1.6 mm, f$\theta$ characteristics less than 0.3% and field curvature less 1.2 mm. We also calcurate tolerance of each part based on RSS(Root Sum Square) method to manufacture LSU for mass production.

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication of mid-IR $(3.7-4.8{\mu}m)$ zoom optics which is used for FUR (Forward Looking Infra-Red) system with 320 $\times$ 240 focal plane arrays. The zoom optics has 20 magnification range and maximun 40$^{\circ}$$\times$30$^{\circ}$ of super wide field of view. The locus of zoom is almost linear, which gives easy access of mechanical and electro-mechanical design. The on-axis MTF of zoom optics has been measured and it shows diffraction limited optical performance. For example, it gives 0.692 at 24 cycles/mm at highest magnification, and 7.6 cycles/mradof resolving power is achieved with the operation of attached micro-scanning system.system.

  • 우리 협회가 지난 12월 9일 부터 사흘간 'CODE V 및 LightTools를 이용한 광학설계 실습 세미나'를 개최했다. 서울 사당동 소재 한국직업전문학교에서 진행된 이번 세미나는 세코닉스, 해성옵틱스, 디지탈옵틱, 삼양옵틱스 등의 회원사는 물론 삼성디스플레이, 현대모비스, 캐논코리아비즈니스솔루션, LG전자, 카이스트, 광운대학교 등에서 총 30명의 연구원, 학생 등이 수강한 가운데 진행됐다.
