  • Larval densities and spatial distribution patterns of beet armyWorm, Spodoptera exigua, were studied in the welsh onion field located in Asan from June to November, 1991. During the period, there were two denslty-peaks;mid August and mid~late September. The larvae showed clumped distribution patterns. but the patterns changed into random as larval density decreased in Oct.ober. Each larval instar showed clumped pattern expect 6th instar surveyed on September 25, which distributed in a random pattern. The larval distribution pattern were also influenced by the host plants;clumped pattern on such host. as red pepper and welsh onion, versus random pattern on such hosts as chrysanthemum, peanut and soybean.

  • This paper proposes a propagation prediction model which can calculate a propagation path loss easily at option point in case of the propagation processing by repeat reflection when we analysis a propagation route, it makes the calculation speed which is the defect of a geometrical of image method and a ray-launching method improve and we develop and apply the algorithms which can do an angle of incidence, an angle of reflection with a propagation direct path, a reflection path and a maximum reflection number arithmetic process synchronously. Finally we choose as a sample which is the real road condition where is around SK telecoms chunnam branch office in wolgok-dong, kwangsan-ku, kwangju and simulate proposition model then we demonstrate the relative superiority with comparing the results.

  • Mediation is type of intervention in which the disputing parties accept the offer of the judge or a third party to recommend a solution for their controversy. Mediation differs from arbitration in being a voluntary resolution rather than a judicial procedure. Thus, the parties to the dispute are not bound to accept the mediator's recommendation. Resort to mediation has become increasingly frequent for civil disputes. Mediation has been successful in many cases of civil conflict. Mediation has become increasingly important for monetary disputes as well, particularly in damage cases. While most people consider mediation a far superior experience to court, everything I tell you a mediator should not do is something that at least one mediator I have dealt with has done to a client. In theory, a mediator should never share anything you tell him or her without your permission. In theory a mediator should not "spring" evaluations on anyone in a mediation without your permission (e.g. a mediator should never say "your case is worth \OOOO and I just told the other side that). In theory a mediator should not browbeat or threaten you. At the end, usually about 55% of the time with a good mediator in Kwangju Appellate Court in 2003, the parties reach an agreement that is in their best interests. If they decide to sign off on a signed agreement, the signed agreement is binding. I obviously feel mediation is a very good thing and the numbers and surveys bear me out. This article is written about how mediation is proceeded, what is the realities, what is the problem and what is the activating way. For this study, I research with legal sociological approach using Korean Judicial Year Boot judicial document and my experience as meditator in Kwangju District Court.

  • A survey on the infection status of Sparganum and Gnathossoma in frogs was carried out in 11 areas in Gyeongsangnam-do and Cheonlanam-do province, a southern part of Korea. 1. Among 626 frogs examined, 4% were infected with Sparganum, but none with Gnathostoma. The infection rates of Sparganum were variable according to the areas. Those from Kimhae, Sunchon, Jinhae, Sachun, Kosung, Keoje, and Hadong were 16%, 9.1%, 9.1%, 4.1%, 2%, 2%, and 1.5% respectively, but frogs from Hapchun, Kwangju, Namwon and Sanchung were not found infected. 2. Rana nigromaculata was the only species infected with Sparganum. Rana rugesa and Bombing orientalis were not infected. 3. Sparganum was mainly found in the legs and the trunk of frog. About 92.5% of worms were detected in the femoral intermuscular connective tissue. 4. Number per infected frog was in range of one to five, and 2.8% of frogs were inacted by only one worm. 5. The heavier the frog weight, the higher the infection rate of Sparganum. In frogs of 51~60grams, 28.6% were infected.

  • Purpose: This study examined the dietary behavior and the effects of nutrition education according to the stages of behavioral changes in sodium reduction of healthy male adults (20~69 years) in Gwangju Chonnam Regions. Methods: The research subjects were 200 male adults. Results: A significantly higher mean age was observed in the stage of Action Maintenance (A M) than in the stage of Precontemplation (PC) and stage of Contemplation Preparation (C P). Significant differences in the frequency of exercise, eating out, and preference for salty food, intake frequency of Udon, Ramen and Sundae according to the stages of behavior change in sodium reduction were observed. The dietary behavior scores and intake frequency-related dietary behavior scores of A M were significantly higher than PC and C P. Nutrition education for sodium reduction improved the dietary behavior score significantly in PC and C P, as well as the rate of correct answers of sodium-related nutrition knowledge in all stages. After the nutrition education, PC decreased greatly, and A M increased. Conclusion: Subjects in PC and C P had an undesirable propensity in dietary behavior, and nutrition knowledge compared to A M, but the nutrition education for sodium reduction greatly improved their dietary behavior and nutrition knowledge.
