The newly adopted Korea Geodetic Datum (a.k.a. KGD2002) calls for massive reengineering work on geospatial dataset. The main focus of our study is placed on the strategy and system implementations of the required data reengineering with a keen attention to integrated approaches to interoperability, standardization, and database utilization. Our reengineering strategy includes file-to-file, file-to-DB, DB-to-file, and DB-to-DB conversion for the coordinate transformation of KGD2002. In addition to the map formats of existing standards such as DXF and Shapefile, the newly recommended standards such as GML and SVG are also accommodated in our reengineering environment. These four types of standard format may be imported into and exported from spatial database via KGD2002 transformation component. The DB-to-DB conversion, in particular, includes not only intra-database conversion but also inter-database conversion between SDE/Oracle and Oracle Spatial. All these implementations were carried out in multiple computing environments: desktop and the Web. The feasibility test of our system shows that the coordinate differences between Bessel and GRS80 ellipsoid agree with the criteria presented in the existing researches.

In this paper, a methodology for effectively treating daily waste at D metropolitan city is considered using reverse logistics(RL) network. Currently, eight district offices at D metropolitan city are treating their daily wastes using each RL network. However, unfortunately, current method has a weakness such as inefficiency of RL network operation. Therefore, we propose a revised method for improving the inefficiency. In case study, we compare the performances of the current and revised methods using various real-life data. The analysis result shows that the revised method outperforms the current method.

This study examined DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) and how it measures the efficiency of library units. DEA is a useful nonparametric method to evaluate the relative efficiency of a set of decision making units(DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. This study evaluated 102 different public libraries utilizing 4 inputs and 4 outputs focussing on the year 2005. For inefficient libraries, the study analysed the potential improvement and the source of inefficiency comparing the peer groups. The result of this study shows that efficiency of public libraries varies in different localities and forms of operation.

본 연구에서는 우리나라의 건설현장에서 발생하는 안전사고 발생 특성과 강수특성 변화의 연관성을 분석하였다. 대상기간 2000년부터 2010년까지 지역별 건설 산업현장에서의 사고발생 건수(한국산업안전보건공단) 자료와 같은 시기 지역별 강수량 자료(기상청 지상관측지점)를 사용하여 강수량의 거동과 건설현장 사고발생 건수의 거동 사이의 상관성을 분석하였다. 건설현장 사고사례의 사고형태 중 부상자와 사망자 정보를 사용하였으며 지역의 구분은 특별시, 광역시 및 도 단위로 구분하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 전반적으로 연간 강수량의 증가 추세와 유사하게 전체 건설현장 안전사고의 발생건수가 증가하는 추세를 보이며, 지역별로 강수량의 증감 거동과 유사한 사고발생의 빈도의 증감거동을 보였다. 우리나라의 평균 월강수량과 월별 건설 안전사고 발생건수는 0.8의 선형상관성을 가지며 지역별 분석에서는 섬지역인 제주도가 가장 높은 상관계수 0.9를 나타냈고, 서울특별시 0.7, 대구광역시 0.7, 광주광역시 0.7, 부산광역시 0.5, 인천광역시 0.5, 대전광역시 0.4의 상관관계 순으로 나타났다. 강수변화에 따른 지역, 계절, 월별 강수-건설재해 상관성을 분석 제시하였다. 장마철인 7~8월에는 봄철인 3월~5월에 비해 강수량의 증가뿐만 아니라 21.16%의 사고 발생건수 증가가 나타났으며 우리나라의 강수특성 중 기후변화로 인하여 태풍의 영향이 많았던 시기의 사고발생의 특성을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 특히 2002년 태풍 '루사'와 2003년 태풍 '매미' 발생 시 산업현장의 재해 발생이 많이 있었던 것으로 조사 되었는데, 그 이유로는 산업현장에 태풍의 영향으로 감전사고 발생률이 2배가량 증가하며, 구조물과 사면이 무너져 내리는 등 사고가 빈번히 발생하면서 재해발생률이 더 증가하였다. 이처럼 기후변화에 따른 강수특성 변화로 건설 산업현장은 사고의 위험에 더욱 노출되고 있으므로 이에 대한 지역적 특성 분석과 대책 수립이 요구된다.

Industrial emissions, mainly from industrial complexes, are important sources of ambient Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Identification of the significant VOC sources from industrial complexes has practical significance for emission reduction. VOC samples were collected from July 2019 to June 2020. A Positive Matrix Factorization (PMF) receptor model was used to evaluate the VOC sources in the area. Four sources were identified by PMF analysis, including coating-1, coating-2, printing, and vehicle exhaust. The coating-1 source was revealed to have the highest contribution (41.5%), followed by coating-2 (23.9%), printing (23.1%), and vehicle exhaust (11.6%). The source showing the highest contribution was coating emissions, originating from the northwest to southwest of the sample site. It also relates to facilities that produce auto parts. The major components of VOC emissions from the coating facilities were toluene, m,p-xylene, ethylbenzene, o-xylene, and butyl acetate. Industrial emissions should be the top priority to meet the relevant control criteria, followed by vehicular emissions. This study provides a strategy for VOC source apportionment from an industrial complex, which is helpful in the development of targeted control strategies.

This study was conducted to propose a way to increase the accuracy and precision of 𝛽-ray measurement equipment. Statistical processing results of equivalent evaluation data from 2016 to 2021 confirmed that the concentration of micro dust measured by 𝛽-ray measurement equipment was higher than that of micro dust sampler. According to quarterly data, it was confirmed that the data from the third quarter (July to September) showed a different trend from other periods, which is assumed to be due to weather conditions. This study indicates that automatic micro-dust measurement equipment evaluation at air pollution measuring stations during the third quarter should be excluded. The evaluation cycle should be changed from once every two years to quarterly. In addition, when the criterion for determining equivalence evaluation falls within the range of the slope and intercept values of the existing trend line, it is necessary to evaluate the R² value together and reduce the slope from 0.9-1.1 to 0.9-1.0.

At the present study, it was aimed to explore the states of antimicrobial resistant Staphylococcus aureus isolates from 1,360 chickens, pigs and cattle carcass (400 chickens, 480 pigs and 480 cattle) in Daegu province from January 2022 to December 2022. Among 1,360 samples, 81 of S. aureus were isolated cattle (1.4%), pigs (7.7%) and chickens (9.2%). In antimicrobial susceptibility test, all of the isolates were demonstrated susceptibility to rifampin. But the isolates were showed resistance other antibiotics in order of tetracycline (62.9%), ciprofloxacin (62.9%), tobramycin (58.0%), gentamicin (51.8%), amikacin (40.7%), penicillin (39.5%), clindamycin (35.8%), enrofloxacin (33.3%), trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (30.8%), oxacillin (30.8%), minocycline (29.6%), erythromycin (25.9%), quinupristin/dalfopristin (20.9%), chloramphenicol (12.3%), cefoxitin (9.8%). Among the 81 S. aureus isolates, 25 (30.8%) methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) were observed. Seven (28.0%) of 25 MRSA harbored mecA gene. About 96% of MRSA were multidrug resistance to at least 3 more drugs. A continuous monitoring and surveillance program to prevent antimicrobial resistance in livestock products is demanded.
