This study made a comparison of two different websites in characteristics of their users and advertising effects. Both websites have the same contents but in different forms. Especially this study examined the technographic, demographic and psychographic characteristics of users of an website which offers services only online and another website which offers services both online and offline. Also the advertising effects of both websites were studied. The analysis of the data was done by SPSSWIN, mainly $x^2$ and t-test. In addition, the data was collected online. The website, feelpost.com collected total 432 copies, and cardkorea.com collected 210 copies. Also among those collected copies, the ones from people in the 20's were selected again in order to rule out the special characters that both websites have in their users age group. Finally 308 copies were selected for the analysis. In result, it was proved that the users of both websites have a very similar lifestyle. Also there was only a little difference in the users' values and social consciousness. Regarding the advertising effect, Feelpost got the highest score in usefulness while Cardkorea got the highest score in positive acceptance of new products. Regarding the attitude toward advertisements and products, the advertising preference and brand preference was higher in Feelpost than in Cardkorea.
This study focuses how storytelling in advertising has introduced and determinated mobile telecommunication technology as a digital technology in the process of its rapid acceptance into our society. The objective of the study is to confirm the role of advertising in introducing technology into a society and the relation between advertising and technology by chasing the digital discourse produced by advertising while digital technology permeates through our society. This study uses content analysis for basic research and discourse analysis for exploring the change of digital discourse in the corporate ads of mobile telecommunication companies since 15 years. As a result, 1) 'digital' and 'analogue' discourses were found to be competing and contesting with each other across the years. Digital discourse mainly connected to a new mode of thinking and lifestyle appeared predominant in the early period, but eventually gave way to its alternative, analogue dialogue. The analogue discourse was brought with such values as humanity, slowness and happiness, which has been by and large undermined by the new, fancy digital technologies and their world, 2) whereas some mixed forms of these two discourses were also found. 3) In the meantime, digital-based mobile communication technologies were identified with people who think outside of box and have an innovative attitude toward their life in the ads. Through this signification process, the ads contribute to permeation of mobile communication technology into our daily life.
This study tries to grasp the factor that affects the acceptance of beacon as an O2O marketing tool. This study examined whether there is a difference between beacon accepter as a means of marketing communication and non-accepter in terms of related variables. As a result, there were significant differences between beacon perceiver and non-perceiver in 'smartphone usage' and 'brand consciousness'. In order to understand the predictive variables influencing beacon acceptance as a means of marketing communication, this study used 'perceiving beacon as a marketing communication media' as a dependent variable to perform logistic regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that 'smartphone usage' and 'brand consciousness' were the predictive variables affecting beacon perceiving. This study tried to analysis the results in the viewpoint of perceived usefulness and ease-of-use which were insisted by TAM.

In this study, several important aspects were studied in producing video advertisements based on the lifestyle and SNS status of Generation Z. Generation Z highly values participation and interaction due to the nature of SNS, so SNS advertisements should be produced in a way that induces active interaction with viewers and accepts feedback. Here's a summary of the main parts. It prefers various content formats of Generation Z that consume information. Advertisements should be produced in various formats such as text, images, and videos, and should have flexibility suitable for various platforms. Because each SNS platform has its own characteristics due to platform specialization, this study suggests that advertisements analyze the characteristics of the platform and use the appropriate content strategy for the optimized platform. As an emphasis on value proposition, we propose an advertising format setting to focus on what value the product or brand provides. It is important to clearly emphasize the advantages and intrinsic value of a product or service in video advertising, and in conclusion, we propose to focus on the case of increasing interest by adopting modern and trendy design of storytelling as an attractive and unique design method of aesthetic design and visual effects. Considering these factors comprehensively, the research value of this paper will be able to establish an effective SNS marketing strategy by producing video advertisements that match the lifestyle and SNS usage characteristics of Generation Z.
This study investigates how consumers' need for uniqueness and for self-expression have influence on their attitude towards brand webtoon contents and word of mouth intention. The results of this study shows that among the sub-dimensions of brand webtoon users' need for uniqueness, unpopular choices has a significantly positive influence on their need for self-expression, and in turn it has a strong positive impact on both attitude towards the webtoon content and intention of word of mouth. In particular, the data show that respondents' perceived perception of the persuasive intent of the brand webtoon moderates the effect of need for self-expression on the attitude towards the content. More specifically, respondents who perceive the persuasive intent in brand webtoon show a lesser degree of favourable attitude towards the content than do respondents who do report a low level of perception of persuasive intent of the brand webtoon. In sum, this study not only provides a theoretical foundation to understand how consumers perceive brand webtoons in terms of their need for uniqueness and for self-expression, but the study has implications for practitioners who are interested in using a brand webtoon for marketing.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing usage intention of Location-Based Advertising (LBA) and moderating effects of gender. This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses relating to LBA, service and individual characteristics, and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The target population of this study was LBA users. The results of hypothesis testing are as follows. First, personalization and ubiquity positively influence attitudes toward LBA and irritation negatively influence attitudes toward LBA. Second, coupon proneness and flow experience positively influence attitudes toward LBA. Finally, personalization and ubiquity to attitudes toward LBA for females are significantly larger than those for males. And coupon proneness and flow experience to attitude for males are significantly larger than those for females. The results of this study will provide various implications to improve usage intention of LBA.
This study examined the conditional indirect effect of EEG (electroencephalogram) arousal on the relationship among affective valence, visual attention, perceived self-relevance, and attitudes toward campaign issues in the context of public service announcements (PSAs). Using SPSS macro (No. 14) of conditional process model, the findings in this current study indicated that the perceived self-relevance mediates the relationship between affective valence of PSA and attitudes toward issues and, in turn, is moderated by EEG arousal, indicating goodness-of-fit of the moderated mediation of psychophysiological arousal on PSAs. The results suggested that management of PSAs should be considered the strategic combination between affective valence and perceived self-relevance in advertising appeals.
As the penetration rate of smart phones has spread and functions have been developed variously, a new advertising medium called mobile advertising has emerged. In addition, various mobile advertisements targeting teenagers, where most of their daily lives are conducted using smartphones, have been activated. Adolescents in the modern society called Generation Z have the longest time to use a smartphone among age groups. Even during the economic downturn, adolescent consumers are an important consumer group that can overcome the economic recession, so mobile advertisements targeting their purchasing power are being created like a flood. Therefore, in this study, the influence of mobile advertisement characteristics and personal characteristics on purchasing attitudes for adolescents using smartphones was identified, and how this was linked to purchasing behavior again. To conduct the research, a survey was conducted on 324 high school students using smartphones, and the results are as follows: First, the higher the recognition of convenience in mobile advertising characteristics and brand preferences, the higher the brand preference. Characteristics and brand trust had a positive effect on acceptance as the awareness of convenience, information, and entertainment increased. Third, the influence of adolescents' personal characteristics on purchasing attitudes had a positive effect on brand preferences by pursuit of fashion, pursuit of personality, and practical pursuit. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the relationship between purchase attitude and purchase behavior, it was verified that brand preference and brand trust among purchase attitude have a positive influence on purchase behavior. This study has significance in that it has grasped the influence of mobile advertising on purchasing behavior among teenagers who are rapidly growing as mobile consumers.
The sound design performed in the production of media contents, such as TV, movie, and CF, have been conducted through the experienced feeling of some experts in the aspect of auditory effects that communicates stories. Also, there have been few studies of the quantitative approach and verification to apply visual and auditory effects felt by users. This study is a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design and investigates the difference in communication effects in which the difference in a sound design in the production of media contents that affects users. This study analyzed the brain quotient (BQ) obtained by the measurement of brain waves during the watching of an experiment image (track A) designed by using a 60-second TV CF only and an experiment image (track B) designed by sound effects and music and investigated which sound design represents differences in communication effects for users. The results of this investigation can be summarized as follows: First, in the results of the comparison of the attention quotient (ATQ), which is the BQ of recognition effects, between A and B tracks, the track A showed a higher difference in activation than the track B. It can be analyzed that the sound design based on music showed higher levels in attention and concentration than that of the sound effect design. Second, in the results of the comparison of the emotional quotient (EQ), which is emotional effects, between A and B tracks, the track A represented a higher difference than the track B. It means that the sound design based on music showed higher contribution levels in emotional effects than that of the design based on sound effects. Third, in the results of the comparison of the left and right brain equivalent quotient (ACQ), which is memory activation effects, between A and B tracks, there were no significant differences. In the results of the experiments, although there are some constraints in TV CF based on the conventional theories in which sound effects based design affects strong concentration, and music based design affects emotional feeling, the music based design may present more effects in continued concentration. In addition, it was evident that the music based design showed higher effects in emotional aspects. However, it is necessary to continue the study by increasing the number of subjects for improving the little differences in ACQ. This study is useful to investigate the communication effects of the sound based design in media contents as a quantitative manner through measuring brain waves and expect the results of this study as the basic materials in the fields of sound production.
This study points out the problems of absence of the legislation for standard regulation on Video on Demand(VoD) advertisement which grows so fast lately, for this it recommends making legal references, which have the definition of non-linear broadcasting & VoD advertisement and VoD advertisement standard regulation in the merged Broadcasting Act, and adopting co-regulation system. Pay TV operators providing VoD service have the opportunities to make money as subscribers uses it increasingly. In case of linear service, the Broadcasting Act regulates the advertisement strictly, but not the VoD ads. The reason why is that Korean legislation including the Broadcasting Act does not have legal reference to regulate it, instead of that, it rely on the self-regulation system which is operated by pay-tv players who provide the VoD ads. So, there is the limitation to protect the minors such as children and youth from the harmful VoD ads, to be invulnerable for advertisers to influence to advertising agents, and to ensure the regulatory effectiveness under player-centric self-regulatory regime. In this context, this study analyses the how to regulate VoD ads standard with a three-pronged approach. First, it analyses the VoD ads regulation system in overseas countries, UK, Canada, EU and Ireland. Each country has the legal reference to regulate it in the Broadcasting Act or lower statures and adopts the co-regulatory regime the NRA and the 3rd entity operate together. Second, it reviews the objectives and scope of VoD ads standard. This study recommends that the objective of it is users protection and the scope of it is standard regulation not commercial practice. Third, this study researches how to legislate for regulation of VoD ads standard. Considering VoD service's characteristics(non-linear service) and legal position of Ads agency(i.e. pay tv operators), it suggest that legal reference will be in the integrated Broadcasting bill, which is the general law, not individual. If it is available to regulate VoD ads standard with co-regulatory regime, it expects the enhancement of user protection from the harmful VoD ads and make up sustainability of the pay-tv players' self-regulation.
