Middle School Students' Statistical Inference Engaged in Comparing Data Sets (자료집합 비교 활동에서 나타나는 중학교 학생들의 통계적 추리(statistical inference)에 대한 연구)

  • According to prior research studies, comparison of two data sets promote informal and formal statistical reasoning, which may mediate descriptive and inferential statistics. However, there has been relatively little attention given to the mediation of both descriptive and inferential statistics. We attempted to identify which statistical concepts or factors students used and how they applied concepts or factors to make decisions when they compared data sets. We also investigated the characteristics and changes of the view of concepts and factors. As a result, we identified that students paid attention to data value, center, spread, and sample, which are important factors of inferential statistics. Students' understanding of each factors were sometimes appropriate for inferential statistics, but sometimes not. From the results, we suggest instructional ideas for a task which can connect descriptive and inferential statistics.

  • This study aims at analyzing 6 OECD countries' (Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, England, South Korea) national early childhood care and education curriculum (framework) based on the perspectives of its implementation. Its design and development always focus on how the national early childhood education and care curriculum will be applied in the early childhood settings in a correct and faithful way. As a result, teachers are considered the user or deliverer of the national curriculum rather than the one who interprets it and construct their own curriculum in accordance with their students. Five OECD countries which have achieved an integrated system between early education and care systems, take the constructive view of designing and applying the national curriculum. Accordingly, a national early childhood education and care curriculum within an integrated system should be developed in Korea, in order to accept the constructive view of curriculum development and application.

A Comparison of the Quality in Public and Private Child-Care Center (국공립 보육시설과 사립 보육시설의 질 비교)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국공립 보육시설과 사립 보육시설을 구조적, 과정적, 소비자 관점의 질 등 세 가지 질의 관점에서 비교하고, 이들 세 가지 유형의 보육의 질 간의 관계를 알아보는 것이었다. 이를 위하여 서울시에 위치한 국공립 보육시설 8개소와 사립 보육시설 8개소를 관찰하고, 이 보육시설들을 이용하는 어머니 293명을 대상으로 질문지 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 국공립 보육시설과 사립보육시설은 구조적 질과 소비자 관점의 질 측면에서는 유의한 차이가 있지만 과정적 질 측면에서는 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 공립과 사립 보육시설의 과정적 질이 유사함에도 불구하고 소비자로서의 부모들은 공립 보육시설에 더 만족하는 것으로 발견되었다. 또한 보육시설의 구조적인 질은 과정적 질, 소비자 관점의 질과 상관이 있으나 과정적인 질은 소비자 관점의 질과 유의한 상관이 없었다.

  • 우리의 경우 학교수학에서 문제해결이 강조된지도 20여년이 넘었으나 아직도 수학을 혐오하는 학생들이 적지 않은 것 같다. 이러한 우리의 수학교육의 문제점은 여러 가지 측면에서 접근할 수 있으나 본 연구에서는 문제해결의 관점에서 접근하고자 한다. 먼저 수학학습평가와 사회에서의 평가를 문제해결의 관점에서 비교하고, 또 수학과 교육과정과 교과서의 구성내용과 체제를 문제해결의 관점에서 구체적인 예제를 통하여 조사한다. 나아가 최근의 구성주의의 관점에서 수학수업에서 계산기의 도입 가능성을 살펴본다.

  • In that all aspects of education can be compared from an international perspective, Comparative Education can share research subjects with most of the subdisciplinary study of Education. Especially Educational Finance and Economics, which is an important part of institutions and policies of education, has been one of the important areas in Comparative Education studies. In this regard, this paper summed up the relationship between Comparative Education and Educational Finance and Economics. Not only for the development of Educational Finance and Economics itself, but also in point of view of Comparative Education, it is as follows to discuss several tasks for Educational Finance and Economics to develop from now on. First, it is necessary to diversify the methods and approaches to Educational Finance and Economics. Comparative Educational studies or exploration on Educational Finance and Economics should require additional analysis from a variety of perspectives. Second, more efforts should be made to establish an independent theoretical framework for Educational Finance and Economics. Comparative Education may also be interested in international comparisons of these theoretical orientations or directions of Educational Finance and Economics. Third, we have to secure the identity of the Korean Educational Finance and Economics. Various comparative educational studies on Educational Finance and Economics of Education from an international perspective should be attempted on the basis of indigenous and independent Educational finance and Economics. Educational Finance and Economics are areas in which comparative educational analysis is needed more than any other study field of Education. We look forward to more active research on Educational Finance and Economics in the future from a comparative educational standpoint.

  • This research analyzed the contents of the high school home economics textbooks within the 7th Curriculum from three theoretical viewpoints: structure functionalism family development and healthy family. A quantitative and in-depth content analysis were carried out with the six elements of family structure, family role, family relation, family life cycle, adjustment to the aged, marriage and childbirth. From the in-depth analysis, a healthy family viewpoint was reflected in the family structure, family role, adjustment to the aged, marriage and childbirth elements and a structure functionalist viewpoint was found in the family relation element. The family life cycle elements reflected a strong tendency of family development theory. The quantitative content analysis consisting of pictures, illustrations, examples indicated that a structure functional viewpoint was prevalent in both the family structure and family role elements. Overall, structure functionalism and healthy family viewpoint were reflected at similar level in the textbook. Implications for curriculum development, teaching methods and future study were suggested.

  • 국내 홈 네트워크 시장은 여러 업체가 컨소시엄을 구성하여 시범지역을 확대하는 등 점차 보편화 되어가고 그 응용 범위를 확대해 나가는 단계에 있다. 하지만 홈 네트워크 시장의 서비스 및 제품들을 사용하는 사용자들이나 기획 / 개발하는 개발자들이 실제로 체감하는 홈 네트워크 시장의 활성화 정도는 아직 부족한 면이 있다. 홈 네트워크 시장의 활성화 정도가 부족한 원인에는 여러 가지 문제점들이 있지만 그러한 문제점 가운데에는 홈 네트워크 시장의 주 구성원인 사용자와 개발자가 가지고 있는 문제점에 대한 서로간의 관점 차이로 인한 부분도 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 홈 네트워크 제품 및 서비스 사용자와 개발자 인터뷰를 통해 문제점을 조사하고 이에 대한 관점의 차이를 분석하고자 하였다. 구체적 문제점 파악을 위해 개발자 관점에서의 개발 프로세스는 '기획, 개발, 판매, 유지보수'의 단계로, 사용자 관점에서의 사용 프로세스는 '구매, 설치, 사용, 이전, AS, 폐기'의 단계로 구분하여 조사하였다. 문제점의 비교를 위해 개발 프로세스와 사용 프로세스를 하나의 제품 및 서비스 라이프사이클로 통합 정의하였고, '판매, 유지보수 / 구매, 설치, 사용, 이전, AS, 폐기' 단계에서 공통된 영역을 찾을 수 있었다. 이 영역에서 사용자와 개발자의 문제점 비교를 통해 두 그룹간의 관점의 차이를 도출하여 각 단계별 홈 네트워크 문제점에 대한 관점의 차이를 확인할 수 있었다.

The Effect of Expected Perspective on the Role of Genre and Attitude toward Utilizing Genre in Broadcast Ad on the Liking of Broadcast Ad Genre (방송광고에서 장르의 역할에 대한 기대관점과 활용에 대한 태도가 방송광고 장르에 대한 호감도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of expected perspective on the role of genre and attitude toward utilizing genre in broadcast ad on the liking of broadcast ad genre as appeal types of creativity. The results show that there is a significant correlation between macro-environmental expected perspective(MEEP) on the role of genre and a negative attitude toward utilizing genre in broadcast ad. A significant correlation between micro-practical expected perspective(MPEP) and a positive attitude was also found. Consumers with an integrated-situational expected perspective(ISEP) show a more significant relationship with the dual attitude. Consumes with a MPEP have a stronger liking on comparative ad and sex appeal ad, and consumers with an ISEP show a median liking. Consumers with positive attitude have a stronger liking on comparative ad and sex appeal ad, and consumers with a dual attitude show a median liking that is between the positive attitude-based consumers' and negative attitude-based consumers'.

The Views about Physics and Biology of Science Teachers who majored in Physics (과학 교사의 물리와 생물에 관한 관점 비교: 물리 전공 교사를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore how science teachers' views about physics and biology are different. From a survey of 45 science teachers who majored in physics, this study found that their views about physics were closer to the experts' views than their views about biology. But it seemed that their views about neither physics nor biology were similar to the experts' views. Compared their views about physics with their views about biology in six dimensions, in four dimensions including structure dimension, methodology dimension, validity dimension, and reflective thinking dimension, the scores of the views about physics were higher, in learnability dimension, the scores of the views about biology were higher, and in personal relevance dimension, the scores of the two kinds of views were similar. Specially the their views about physics in learnability dimension were closer to novices'. In addition, science teachers majored in physics seemed to think that compared with biology, physics is coherent, systematic and reasoning, but it is not learnable.
