Joint Module with Joint Torque Sensor Having Disk-type Coupling for Torque Error Reduction (토크 오차 감소를 위한 디스크형 커플링을 갖는 토크센서가 내장된 로봇 관절모듈)

  • Force control and collision detection for a robot are usually conducted using a 6-axis force/torque sensor mounted at the end-effector. However, this scheme suffers from high-cost and the inability to detect collisions at the robot body. As an alternative, joint torque sensors embedded in each joint were used, which also suffered from various errors in torque measurement. To resolve this problem, a robot joint module with an improved joint torque sensor is proposed in this study. In the proposed torque sensor, a cross-roller bearing and disk-type coupling are added to prevent the moment load from adversely affecting the measurement of the joint torque under consideration. This joint design also aims to reduce the stress induced during the assembly process of the sensor. The performance of the proposed joint torque sensor was verified through various experiments.

  • This paper investigates the kinematic and dynamic analysis of a spherical three degree of freedom parallel joint module, which is used in the exercise equipment for balance and leg-strength improvement of aged people. The joint module has three dyads which consist of two links and three revolute joints, and their all joints intersect at the global point located at the module's center. The paper shows the explicit mathematical procedure for deriving the closed form solutions in the inverse and forward position analysis of this parallel joint module. In velocity and acceleration analysis, we derived relations for joint velocities and accelerations of dyads and rotational velocity and acceleration of the top plate. For applying this module to rehabilitation exercise, we determined the dynamic model of the Korean males in their 50s and examined the model's results by dynamic model simulation.

Golf Swing Classification Using Fuzzy System (퍼지 시스템을 이용한 골프 스윙 분류)

  • A method to classify a golf swing motion into 7 sections using a Kinect sensor and a fuzzy system is proposed. The inputs to the fuzzy logic are the positions of golf club and its head, which are extracted from the information of golfer's joint position and color information obtained by a Kinect sensor. The proposed method consists of three modules: one for extracting the joint's information, another for detecting and tracking of a golf club, and the other for classifying golf swing motions. The first module extracts the hand's position among the joint information provided by a Kinect sensor. The second module detects the golf club as well as its head with the Hough line transform based on the hand's coordinate. Using a fuzzy logic as a classification engine reduces recognition errors and, consequently, improves the performance of robust classification. From the experiments of real-time video clips, the proposed method shows the reliability of classification by 85.2%.

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 형태의 정밀위치제어용 3자유도 매니플레이터를 제안하고, 기구학 해석을 수행하며, FEM과 수치해석적인 방법을 비교하여 메카니즘에 대한 모델링 방법이 크게 틀리지 않음을 확인 하고자 한다. 회전관절과 구형관절은 비구동관절로써 미소움직임이 가능하도록 하나의 모듈로 이루어진 flexure hinge들로 만들어진다. 따라서, 비구동관절에 대한 강성해석을 수행하며 구동관절의 토오크 벡터를 비구동관절의 강성과 변위로 표현하여 액추에이터의 구동용량을 결정한다.

  • Mechanisms of the robot system should be developed according to the task. In this study, we propose improving adaptability of the robot mechanism with the modularized joint mechanism. Adaptability is the measure of the system ability to cope with change or uncertainty. Modular type joint has been widely used in development of various robots including reconfigurable robots. To build robotic systems more flexibly and quickly with low costs of manufacturing and maintenance, we have designed a modular type joint with one degree of freedom for general purpose. This module is designed to be compact, light-weight and self-controlled. In this design, we consider the kinematics and dynamics properties of the modular type joint.

  • 본 논문은 산업현장이 아닌 카페등 생활현장에서의 폐기용 컵 처리를 목적으로, 사람을 대신해 지능적이고 기구학적으로 효율적인 다관절 메니퓰레이터의 설계 방법을 연구하였다. 다양한 장소에서 인간을 대신하여 임의의 위치에 있는 다양한 폐기 컵을 3D 카메라로 인식하여 알맞은 위치로 분리수거하는 6축 수직 다관절 모듈형 매니퓰레이터의 안정적인 동작을 위하여 기구부를 Yaw-Pitch-Pitch-Pitch-Yaw-Yaw의 6축 구조로 설계하고, 이를 구동하기 위한 관절 구동기의 용량을 분석하여 관절 구동기를 선정하며 전체적인 이해와 효율적인 분석을 위해 기구 전체의 외관을 3D 모델링 프로그램을 이용하여 구현하고 동작을 검증하였다.

  • Recently, one of the most interesting issue in the intelligent robot and the industrial robot area is the design and an implementation of servo driver module based on motion network for hollow type joint module of all-in-one structure. In this paper, we designed and implemented for hollow type driver, and also verified the performance of the developed module through the experiment.

  • 사실감있는 인체 모델과 동작제어 기술은 컴퓨터 그래픽스와 가상현실감 및 시뮬레이션등의 다양한 응용 분야에서 이용되고 있다. 인체의 모델링과 이의 동작을 제어하는 기술은 관절 구조의 인체를 뼈대와 관절 그리고 이를 둘러싸고 있는 피부로 모델링하고 운동학에 기반하여 각 관절을 제어하여 인체의 동작을 생성한다. 본 논문에서는 인체의 모델링을 위한 스킨-스켈레턴 바인딩 알고리즘을 제안한다. 인체의 골격구조를 관리하기 위한 일반적인 계층적 다관절체 데이터 구조를 설계하고, 골격 데이터에 피부를 입히기 위한 스킨-tm켈레던 바인딩 알고리즘을 설계한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 전처리, 세그멘테이션과 바인딩의 세기능 모듈로 구성된다. 바인딩 가능한 요소들의 효율적인 탐색을 위하여 분할해결 방식을 적용한 후보 테이블을 이용하였다. 20개의 관절로 이루어진 인체 골격 데이터와 Inventor 포맷의 인체 피부 데이터로 알고리즘을 실험하였다.

Health behaviors of the elderly with osteoarthritis across gender groups (남성노인과 여성노인의 골관절염 관련 건강행태 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify health behaviors of elderly with osteoarthritis across gender groups. Total of 1,654 age 65 over from the fifth Korean National health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) were selected. The data analysis was performed using the complex sampling function of SPSS version 20. Logistic regression analysis shows the difference of risk factors of osteoarthritis between men and women elderly people. Prevalence of osteoarthritis in men elderly was associated with drinking, education for osteoarthritis, and treatment of osteoarthritis whereas the factors in woman elderly were depression and muscle strengthen exercise. Most of the subjects had not the opportunity of education of the management of the osteoarthritis. These findings from the study are expected to promote the screening strategy for the aged at risk of osteoarthritis in the Korean community and enhance the effect of the nursing intervention for the elderly with osteoarthritis.
