학회순례-한국축산학회

  • 1956년 창립한 한국축산학회는 꾸준한 연구활동으로 축산물 생산의 경제저거 증대, 고부가가치 생물물질의 생산에 이바지 하고 있다. '92년 법인으로 등록한 축산학회는 '85년 5월 워커힐에서 20개국서 1천5백여명의 회원이 참석한 가운데 제3차 아시아 호주 축산학대회를 열었으며 올해에는 6월28일 서울대 관악캠퍼스에서 제8차 세계축산학대회를 개최한다.

  • 우리나라 수목학과 식물분류학 분야의 기초를 다진 이창복박사는 요즘15년 전에 펴낸 대작 대한식물도감을 원색으로 다시 펴내기 위해 마무리 작업에 여념이 없다. 1919년 평안도 맹산에서 태어난 이박사는 서울대 농대교수로 재직하면서 국내최대 규모의 관악수목원 조성에 앞장섰으며 평생 모은 10만여점의 식물표본을 서울대에 기증했고 정년 후엔 자생식물연구회를 설립하여 팔순을 바라보는 노령에도 연구활동을 계속하고 있다.

  • In this study, peak frequencies of korean traditional wind instruments according to instruments were measured for introducing quality certification system. Also major dimensions of instruments were measured too, for analysis on manufacturing precesion.

  • 서울 관악구 신림동에 위치한 강남순환도시고속도로 6-1공구, 이곳은 연장 155m의 터널을 뚫는 현장으로, 시공 초기인 현재는 발파작업이 한창 진행되고 있다. 발파작업은 다량의 폭약이 수시로 사용되는 만큼 위험성이 상당히 높은 공정 중 하나다. 하지만 이곳 현장의 모습을 보면 정말 위험공정이 맞나하는 의구심이 들게 된다. 그만큼 안전관리가 철저하다는 얘기다. 수차례에 걸친 시험발파를 통해 진동과 소음을 최소화한 발파작업이 이뤄지고 있으며, 작업 시 대응절차에 나서는 근로자들의 모습도 일사불란하기 그지없다. '안전'으로 터널공사의 새로운 교과서를 만들겠다는 이곳 현장을 찾아가 그들만의 특별한 안전활동을 살펴봤다.

Radon distribution in geochemical environment and controlling factors in Radon concentration(Case study) (지구화학환경에서의 라돈농도분포와 라돈농도의 지배요인(사례연구))

  • Three study areas of Kwanak campus(Seoul National University), Gapyung and Boeun were selected and classified according to bedrock types in order to investigate soil-gas radon concentrations. Several soil-gas samples showed relatively high radon concentrations in the residual soils which derived from granite bedrock. It also showed that water content of soil and the degree of radioactivity disequilibrium was a secondary factor governing radon emanation and distribution of radon radioactivity. The results of radon concentrations and working levels for forty rooms in Kwanak campus, Seoul National University, showed that indoor basement rooms under poor ventilation condition can be classified as high radon risk zone having more than EPA guideline(4 pCi/L). Some results of section analysis which was surveyed in the fault zone of Kyungju and Gapyung area confirmed the existence of fault-associated radon anomalies with a meaning of radon risk zone.

  • This study analyzed the story of 'Good Morning, Ladies of the World', a multicultural program of a community radio Gwanak FM. Furthermore, the study performed an in-depth interview on Korean producing staffs and migrant casts in order to figure out the contents for the improvement of awareness and for the design of multicultural media story telling. As a result, the migrant women presented overall public discourses on their own culture, climate and customs as a sense of representative. While Korean staffs wanted to understand and communicate with their culture and to share private experiences, migrant women wished understanding and respect to their culture and removal of discrimination or prejudice. Accordingly, the storytelling design for the improvement of multicultural awareness must be a private discourse on the basis of a public discourse, and it turned out that the user of a mediator who experienced and knew culture of Korea and the migrant is necessary. And, this study recommended the need of education of migrant women and media support for a proper story planning, structuring and delivery.

COMPARISONS OF DENTAL ARCHES AND CROWDINGS BETWEEN MUSICAL WIND-INSTRUMENT PLAYERS GROUPS AND NON-WIND INSTRUMENT PLAYERS GROUP (관악기연주군과 비관악기군의 치열궁 및 Crowding에 관한 비교연구)

  • For the comparisons of dental archs and crowdings between musical wind instrument players groups and non-wind instrument players groups, 64 male wind instrument players and 31 non-wind instrument players group were selected. The results of the measurements were as follow. 1 Upper intercanine widths, upper basal arch widths, lower basal arch widths were statistically significant between musical wind instrument players groups (Class A, Class B) and non-wind musical instrument players group. 2 The mean value of upper intercanine width m Class A ($373{\pm}2.3mm$) was greater than than in Class B ($362{\pm}17mm$) and non-wind musical instrument players group($360{\pm}16mm$) 3 The mean value of lower basal arch width m Class B ($422{\pm}25mm$) was greater than that in non wind instrument players group ($395{\pm}28mm$). 4 The differences in the mean values of crowdings between Class A and Class Band non-wind instrument players group were not statistically significant.

  • A Zoysia japonica and Miscanthus sinensis grasslands of north-west side on Mt. Kwanak were investigated The most important species in this area were Zoysia japonica and Miscanthus sinensis These two species contributed greatly to the standing crops of live material, which were in excess of 598. 4g /$m^2$ and 698. 7g /$m^2$ during the growing season, respectively. This value would he ucreased if the production of the moss and algal mats which cover the soil surface during the growing season was included. The productive structures of the Zoysia japonica and Mliscanthus si nen sis grasslands were short and long height types of the grasslands, respectively.   • An investigation was performed to reveal the relation of the production and decomposition of the Zoysia japoni ica and Miscanthus sinensis litters on Mt.Kwanak. The decay constant k of litters was as follows; k of Zoysia japonica, k=0.44, k of Miscanthus sicensis, k=0.33 The time required for the decomposition of half of the accumulated organic matter of Zoysia japonice and Miscanthus sinensis was 1.6 and 2.1 years, respectively. The amount of mineral nutrients returned annually to soil is faster in the ZQvsia japonica grassland than in the Miscanthus sinensis grassland on Mt. Kwanak. 제5차 국내외 한국과학기술자 종합학술대회 안내

  • 한국과학기술단체총연합회(회장 민관식)는 제 5차 국내외 한국과학기술자종합학술대회를 재미한국과학기술자협회(7월 1일이후 회장 최상일)와 공동으로 오는 7월 10일부터 20일까지 서울대학교 관악캠퍼스에서 개최키로 했다. 재미과학기술자 300명(가족포함)을 비롯하여 국내과학기술자 1,000명등 1,300여명이 대거 참석케 될 이번 종합학술대회는 과총이 단독으로 재미과협과 공동주최(종전에는 KIST가 주관)하는 그 첫 번째 대회로서 과총은 이번대회를 명실공히 국제적인 행사가 될 수 있도록 대회준비에 만전을 기하고 있다. 다음에 금번 종합학술대회의 계획된 내용과 대회기간중 발표될 분과별 연제및 연사를 소개한다.
