  • 현대인은 그 어느 때보다 자신의 건강에 대한 관심이 커져가고 있다. 이와 더불어 식품 중 유해물질에 대한 관심도 함께 증가하고 있으며, 그 대표적인 것 중 하나가 트랜스 지방이다. 고소하고 바삭바삭한 맛을 내게 하는 트랜스 지방의 유해성이 크게 알려지기 시작하면서 경계의 대상으로 떠오르고 있다.

  • 수년 전까지만 해도 국내에서는 서지에 관한 관심이 거의 없었다. 그러므로 국내의 경우도 수출만을 전념하고 내수쪽은 관심을 갖지 않았었다. 그러나 근래 국내의 서지에 관한 관심이 고조되고 있으며 대부분이 필요성을 느끼기 시작하고 있지만 하지만 서지에 관한 관련서적이 거의 없는 관계로 서지에 관한 연구나 실무에 도움이 될만한 자료가 없는 실정이다.

  • 소비자들의 닭고기 품질에 대한 관심도가 높아지고 있다. 소비자가 즐겨 찾는 닭고기를 생산해 내야 하며 생산뿐만 아니라 유통$\cdot$소비분야에 더 많은 관심을 기울여야 한다. 새로운 닭고기요리 개발 보급, 올바른 지식전달을 위한 능동적인 소비자교육을 실시한다면 닭고기소비는 급격히 신장될 수 있을 것이다.

An Efficient Object Extraction Scheme for Low Depth-of-Field Images (낮은 피사계 심도 영상에서 관심 물체의 효율적인 추출 방법)

  • This paper describes a novel and efficient algorithm, which extracts focused objects from still images with low depth-of-field (DOF). The algorithm unfolds into four modules. In the first module, a HOS map, in which the spatial distribution of the high-frequency components is represented, is obtained from an input low DOF image [1]. The second module finds OOI candidate by using characteristics of the HOS. Since it is possible to contain some holes in the region, the third module detects and fills them. In order to obtain an OOI, the last module gets rid of background pixels in the OOI candidate. The experimental results show that the proposed method is highly useful in various applications, such as image indexing for content-based retrieval from huge amounts of image database, image analysis for digital cameras, and video analysis for virtual reality, immersive video system, photo-realistic video scene generation and video indexing system.

  • This study presents a favoured pattern of makeup and psychology according to it by recognition type, through an examination of recognition for it in order to understand interest and awareness regarding it among female college students. The makeup is emotionally effective for confidence and positive thought, and is considered to be a category of social manner. The subjects can be grouped according to difference in recognition of makeup: contemplation, reception, observation and correspondence group. Although there is slight difference in the interest of four types of makeup depending on recognition difference, the behavior of makeup plays a large part in establishing personal relationships. The pattern of makeup favours natural style which places an emphasis on skin tone. The female college students in their 20s, who are at the center of current beauty trend market, were asked to conduct questionnaire of makeup, so interest and awareness of makeup behavior can be understand. If these findings are actively used in the beauty trend, various and effective beauty cultures are considered to be created.

The Study about the Differential compression based on the ROI(Region Of Interest) (ROI(Region Of Interest)기반의 차등적 이미지 압축에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, users can get countless images and videos by network. So, the compression technology of image and video is researched more and more. However, the situation which is the interested range of the image is occurred. For instance, since the region of face is more important than background, the image compression technology bases on the region of interest (ROI) is necessary, in the ATM environment. In this research, given the human visual system, which are not sensitive to illumination variations at very dark and light regions of image, we calculate the standard deviation of block and use this value to define the ROI. In encoding process, the relatively high quality can be obtained at the ROI and the relatively low quality can be obtained at the non ROI. In proposed scheme, the feature which is the encoding process according to subjectively image quality can be demonstrated. Finally, this proposed scheme is applied to JPEG standard. The experimental results demonstrate that proposed scheme can achieve better image quality at the high compression ratio.

Physics Image Analysis by Sematic Method and Interest in Physics of Freshman Students in the Engineering College (의미 분석법에 의한 공과대학 신입생의 물리 이미지 및 관심 여부)

  • Physics image and interest are factors that influence physics learning. Freshmen enter an engineering college under various learning conditions when they were in high school. Understanding physics image and interest according to characteristics of freshmen will help college physics education. The purpose of this study is to investigate the physics image and interest of freshmen in an engineering college according to their gender and physics course completion in high school and discuss the educational implications of college students on physics learning. The subjects of the study are 664 first grade students in engineering college. We analyzed physics image and interest of students according to gender and physics course completion in high school. Physics image is analyzed using semantic analysis. As a result of the analysis, the physics image is different according to the physics course completion. Interest in Physics depends on gender and physics course completion. Finally, we discuss the educational implications of college physics learning for engineering students.

Region-of-Interest Detection using the Energy from Vocal Fold Image (성대 영상에서 에너지를 이용한 관심 영역 추출)

  • In this paper, we propose an effective method to detect the regions of interests in the Videostrobokymography System. Videostrobokymography system is a medical image processing system for extracting automatically the diagnosis parameters from the irregular vibratory movements of the vocal fold. We detect the regions of interests through three steps. In the first step, we remove the noise in the input image and we find the minimum energy value in each frame. In the second step, we computed the edge by everage value for the one line. In the third step, the regions of interests can be extracted by using the Merge Algorithm which uses the variance of luminance as the feature points. We experimented this method for the vocal fold images of nineteen patients. In consequence, the regions of interests are detected in most vocal fold images. The method proposed in this study is efficient enough to extract the region of interests in the vocal fold images with the frame rate of 40 frames/second and the resolution of 200${\times}$280 pixels.

  • 사용자 프로파일(user profile)은 사용자 개개인의 관심 분야를 기술한 것이다. 정보 시스템이 사용자 개개인의 관심 분야를 알고 있다면, 사용자의 관심 분야에 속하는 문서만을 사용자에게 제시해 줌으로써 정보검색의 효율을 높일 수 있다. 사용자 프로파일 관리 시스템은 시간이 지날수록 개인 사용자의 관심분야를 더욱 잘 나타내어야 하고(Specialization), 사용자의 관심 분야가 변화해도 그에 대응해야 하며(Adaptation), 사용자가 흥미있어할 만한 관련 분야도 제시할 수 있어야 한다(Exploration). 본 논문은 기존에 연구되어 왔던 정보여과 시스템에서 사용되는 사용자 프로파일 관리 시스템들의 단점을 보완하고 정보검색 시스템에서도 사용될 수 있는 범용성을 지닌 사용자 프로파일 관리 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 사용자 프로파일 관리 시스템은 사용자의 관심분야의 변화를 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 모델링하고, 여러 유전자군(群)으로 사용자의 다양한 관심분야를 기술한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to detect interesting objects in inaccessible areas using high resolution satellite images. We define the interesting objects as a set of objects which have conceptually similar image patterns, not having exact sizes or shapes. In this paper, we developed a learning and classifier of Support Vector Machine (SVM) that extracts characteristic data for inputted images using Histogram of Gradients (HOG) feature and detects similar objects in other images using the characteristic data. As automatic search of interesting objects in our proposed method, we identify that our method provides reduced time and efforts for manual searching similar objects.
