Analysis of Safety Management Efficiency by Coastal Passenger Ship Companies : Development of Safety Management Evaluation Standards (연안여객선사 안전관리 운영 효율성 분석 : 안전경영지표 평가항목 개발을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to design a proper evaluation method for analysing the safety management efficiency of coastal ship companies, and to verify these evaluation standards by applying them to a representative company. For this purpose, 5 evaluation items and 14 specific sub-evaluation elements have been determined after collecting practical opinions from a group of expert, which consisted of safety managers in passenger ship companies, public servants as a ship inspector, passenger ship operations managers, etc. Next, the safety management levels of 44 coastal passenger ship companies were evaluated using these standards. Finally, the validity of the proposed evaluation method was verified through comparison analysis between the evaluation results and the ratio of major marine accidents. It was determined that companies with low evaluation levels were saw more major marine accidents than other coastal passenger ship companies, spurring greater interest in safety management. In conclusion, evaluation standards allow coastal passenger ship companies to voluntarily assess their safety management level were established. The result can also be applied to analyse the operation efficiency of coastal passenger ship companies.

  • 본 연구에서는 실세계 DB에 현실적으로 적용할 수 있는 DB품질평가항목을 개발하고자 한다. ISO 9126에 근거하여 DB품질평가 항목을 도출하고 소프트웨어의 프로세스를 심사하고 이에 기반하여 프로세스를 개선할 수 있도록 하는 CMM모형을 적용하고자 한다. DB 품질평가 항목의 개발은 기존 관련문헌 검토 및 유사분야에서 개발된 평가 모델을 분석하고, ISO 9126에 근거하여 DB품질평가 항목을 새롭게 도출하여 CMM모델을 적용한 데이터베이스 품질 프로세스 성숙도 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Although the environmental conflicts regarding noise and vibration are continually increasing during construction, noise and vibration occurring in construction are only managed in construction phase. Noise and Vibration occurring in construction are considered to be insufficient, so we find that noise and vibration management in design phase has to be operated for reducing. The objective of this paper is to present noise and vibration management lists to consider in design phase for enhancing efficiency in noise and vibration management and to develop the appraisal sheets for designers to evaluate and the manuals to easily use management lists. To achieve this, we identify the noise and vibration management lists to consider in design phase through analyzing the previous literatures and confirm the 9 lists through conducting a research with experts in environmental area for verifying the propriety of lists. Also, this study applies to AHP technique to identify the priority and the weight evaluation among the lists. Through this study, we identify the most efficient lists, including from the low noise and low vibration methods, the noise and vibration reduction by blasting works, the installment and the arrangement of noise and vibration control equipments, for noise and vibration management in design phase. The achievement of this study will help to prevent the environmental disputes and conflicts in advance and will consider utilizing for the successful construction project.

A Study on the Field Application through the Improvement of Scoring System for HACCP Evaluation Items of Cattle Farm (소 농장 HACCP 평가항목의 점수부여 체계 개선을 통한 현장 적용 연구)

  • This study was conducted to establish scores according to the importance levels of each HACCP evaluation item in cattle farm. The importance levels and score of each HACCP evaluation item was derived through the non-compliance rate and severity levels of hazard. In order to change the score criteria according to the importance of each HACCP evaluation item, we analyzed the importance of each HACCP evaluation item by using the portfolio mapping method according to the occurrence frequency and severity levels of hazard. The scores were classified into 3 point, 2 point, and 1 point, respectively, by classifying the importance of each category as 'high', 'middle' and 'lower'. Accordingly, we have established a now scoring system of each HACCP evaluation item through this study. Through the result of this study, the objectivity of the comparative evaluation was verified by implementing the currently used HACCP evaluation item to the cattle farm. In conclusion, Implementation of the result of this study to cattle farm may help to increase the objectivity and also improve more safety and hygienic cattle management and raw milk production.

  • 이 논문에서는 웹 서버에 발생할 수 있는 장애 항목들을 정의하고, 발생한 장애를 자동적으로 진단하고 이를 검출하기 위한 방법을 규칙기반 추론기법을 사용하여 제안하였다. 즉, 웹 서버 관리에서 발생할 수 있는 장애 항목을 정의하고, 장애를 진단하기 위한 규칙을 제안하였는데, 장애 항목으로는 프로세스 장애, 서버 과부하, 인터페이스 장애, 구성 및 성능 장애를 정의하였으며, 각 장애 항목을 진단하기 위한 지식을 활성 네트워크기법을 적용하여 표현하고, 이를 시스템 레벨 장애 진단 생성규칙과 서비스 레벨 장애 진단 생성규칙으로 정형화하였다. 그리고 제안한 장애 진단규칙의 타당성을 증명하기 위한 장애 환경 구성을 구성하고, 각 장애 환경에 대한 생성규칙 적용과정을 실험을 통하여 제시하였다. 이 논문에서는 기하 급수적으로 증가하는 웹 서버의 장애를 관리하기 위한 메커니즘 제안함으로써 웹 서버 관리에 소요되는 관리자의 노력을 최소화할 수 있는 지능적인 장애 관리를 위한 방법론을 제시하고자 한다.

A Study on the Importance and order of priority of the Major control item for DMSMS by using AHP analysis (AHP 분석을 통한 부품단종 주요관리항목 중요도 및 우선순위에 관한 연구)

  • DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage) is increased by developing the scientific technique and downsizing the military part market. DMSMS affects the increase in total life cycle costs and serviceability. Therefore, advance control for parts is important to reduce the cost, and a database is needed to share information on the DMSMS. A task needs to be performed continuously by setting the major control item to management more efficiently. The purpose of this study was to deduce the major control item for the DMSMS management system. Thus, the pre-control item basis of the DAPA (Defense Acquisition Program Administration) Manual and the SD-22 Manual were first selected, and the results of the survey were analyzed by AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. Fifteen of the detailed items were stratified into three criteria (Impact, Probability, and cost of the DMSMS), and each weight for the items was calculated using a nine-point scale survey. The AHP survey was executed with 25 specialists in the DMSMS management field, and the score of consistency ratio over 0.1 was excluded. The model explained the results and suggested future directions for development.

표준품셈-2007년 적용 건설공사 표준품셈 개정

  • 표준품셈 487개 항목이 제·개정됨에 따라 건설공사의 예정 가격이 전반적으로 하락할 전망이다. 특히 올해 새로 도입될 표준품셈 상시관리시스템이 작동하면 내년 표준품셈 개편폭은 더욱 확대된다. 건설교통부는 지난 1월 4일 기계설비 등 5개 공종에 걸친 487개 표준품셈 항목을 신설·개정했다고 밝혔다. 이번 개편의 특징은 기존 기관별 요구사항을 단순 반영하는 것이 아니라 건교부가 직접 목표량을 설정해 직접 발굴했고 기계설비, 토목터널 부문이 집중 개선된 점이다. 기계설비 부문의 경우 밸브 및 콕류, 신축이음쇠, 잡철물, 방열기, 위생기구, 소화전 등의 항목이 대폭 개정됐다. 이번 개편에 이어 전체 표준품셈 2,460개 항목 가운데 503개 항목이 추가로 조정돼 내년 초 공표된다. 특히 표준품셈 상시관리시스템이 올해 상반기 가동되면 내년 초 공표될 항목은 이보다 더욱 늘어날 전망이다. 정부의 시스템 운용방침이 당초 계획된 2개년 목표치(990개 항목) 외에 추가 항목을 발굴하는 것이기 때문이다.

  • Information system contains various components, md these components can be categorized into some types. When preparing security level management activity, it is most important to define the target of management activity. And after deciding these targets, security level management activity can be started. This paper defines management targets by dividing information system into some parts, and these targets can be managed variously according to operation environments and characteristics. By doing so, security level management activity can be processed easily.

Development of Self-Managed Food Sanitation Check-List and On-Site Monitoring of Food Sanitation Management Practices in Restaurants for Control of Foodborne Illness Risk Factors (식중독 발생 위험요인 관리를 위한 외식업체 자가위생관리점검표 개발 및 현장모니터링)

  • Based on recent dramatic increases in foodborne outbreaks in restaurants, self-managed sanitation systems are now recommended to control contributing risk factors. This study aimed to improve sanitation management practices in restaurants and had two objectives. First, we tried to develop a self-managed sanitation check-list, including risk factors contributing to foodborne illness and Korean food hygiene regulation articles. We also tried to evaluate current sanitation management practices in restaurants according to operation and restaurant type. Thirty restaurants were evaluated by on-the-spot inspectors using an auditing tool consisting of four dimensions, seventeen categories, and forty-one items. Total compliance rate categorized by operation type significantly differed between chain restaurants and self-managed restaurants, with values of 85.5% and 51.6%, respectively. Therefore, self-managed restaurants, which showed the lowest compliance rate of below 30.0%, need more strict control to improve current unsanitary management practices, specifically relating to 'sterilization of knives, chopping boards, and wiping cloths', 'sanitation training', 'not allowing access into the kitchen to outsiders', 'handling of food or utensils on shelves at a 15 cm distance away from floor', 'prevention of cross-contamination of cooked foods or vegetables', and 'records of kitchen access or inspection'. Thus, an effective food sanitation system is essential and should be implemented to improve the existing sanitary conditions in restaurants. However, the most important factor to achieving food sanitation management objectives is food handlers' self-motivation.
