Development of Evaluation Criteria on Learners' Satisfaction to Increase Effectiveness of the Cyber Home Learning System (사이버가정학습 효과성 증진을 위한 학습자 만족도 평가 준거 개발)

  • The Cyber Home Learning System(CHLS) is a representative, nationwide e-learning system specially for G1-12 in Korea. It was launched at 16 MPOE in 2005 and has been evolved through every year-its evaluation and sharing best practices. In terms of evaluation, learners' satisfaction is one of essential and indispensable factors to improve CHLS. In this research, evaluation criteria on learners's satisfaction were developed, and also, the developed evaluation criteria were verified through the process of item goodness analysis and item characteristic analysis. These evaluation criteria are expected to contribute to analysing learners' satisfaction more objectively and quantitatively.

Analysis for Triangles in Elementary School Curriculum and Textbook: Focusing on the Instructional Teaching and Learning Elements of 2-D Shapes (평면도형의 교수·학습 요소에 따른 삼각형에 관한 초등학교 교과서 분석)

  • Two-dimensional shapes have a great influence on elementary school students' learning and are closely related to other content areas. Therefore, in this study, The Teaching and Learning Elements that should be taught in two-dimensional shapes were extracted from the literature. It also was analyzed that revised mathematics textbooks in the year 2015 were properly implemented with the teaching and learning elements. As a result of the analysis, in the case of Understanding The Concept, the activities in the textbooks are not able to recognize 2-D shapes which are focusing on shapes of the actual object. In the case of Classifying two-dimensional shapes according to the Criteria, the classification criteria were presented differently from what was learned in the previous course. In the aspect of Applying the Concept, the activities in order to Discuss two-dimensional shapes were not sufficient. Lastly, in view of the fact the 2015 revised curriculum is not considered with the relationship between two-dimensional shapes. For that reason, the following Knowing Relationships parts are insufficiently presented; Understanding the Relationship Between shapes through Definitions and Properties, Identifying the relationship between shapes throughout classification activities, and Discussing the relationship between shapes. Based on the analysis result of two-dimensional shapes, it is suggested that the finding of this research helps to enlarge the teaching methodology of triangles and provide educational perspectives for development in other shape areas.

Case study of Ontact PBL Development and Application to Improve Teaching Presence & Learning Presence (교수실재감 및 학습실재감을 높이기 위한 Ontact PBL 개발 및 적용 사례 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to realize Ontact PBL that can sufficiently contain interactive elements that can increase the perception of reality between professors and students in an environment without human contact. This is a class designed, developed, and operated ontact PBL for the first semester of 2021. As a result of diagnosing the realism of teaching and learning for students who took the class, the average teaching realism improved significantly by 0.95. This was found to be effective in improving the sense of realism in teaching as there were many related opinions in the reflective journal on students' classes. In addition, there was an effect on learning presence, and it was confirmed that emotional presence, which is a sub-element of learning presence, significantly improved by 0.7, social presence by 0.5, and cognitive presence by 0.6. Learning presence also confirmed the students' reflection on the class, and it was possible to judge that Ontact PBL was effective in improving the sense of presence.

  • 정보통신 기술, 방송 기술 및 관련 소프트웨어 기술 발전은 수요자가 원하는 서비스를 받기 위해서 정보 제공자에게로 다가가던 종래의 정보서비스 환경으로부터 사이버 공간을 통해서 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 서비스를 선택할 수 있는 환경으로의 변화를 촉진시켜주고 있다. 수요자 중심의 개별화된 학습체제에 대한 필요성과 시간과 장소에 제약을 받지 않는 사이버 공간을 통한 교육 기회의 확대는 정보통신망과 방송망을 통해서 다양한 형태의 교육 서비스를 제공하는 사이버 교육의 큰 특징으로 인식되고 있다. 본 발표에서는 사이버 교육 환경 구현에 필요한 제반 요소들을 분석하고, 국내외 사이버 교육의 구체적인 사례를 통해서 사이버 교육이 갖는 문제점을 분석하고, 국내의 경우 사이버 교육의 도입 현황을 살펴봄으로서 사이버 교육이 열린교육을 실현하기 위한 효과적인 교육 방법으로 정착되기 위한 방향을 모색해 보고져 한다.

The Application of a Practical Problem - Based Lesson Plan for the "Understanding Myself and MY Family" Unit to Heighten Awareness of Gender - role Equity and Degree of Participation in Household Chores (중학생의 양성 평등 의식 고양과 집안일 참여를 돕기 위한 교수.학습 과정안 개발 및 적용 - "나와 가족의 이해" 단원을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a practical problem-based lesson plan for the "Understanding Myself and My Family" unit and to examine the effects of the lesson plan. Learning objectives and contents were selected, and a practical problem-based lesson plan for five sessions was developed and implemented. With 150 students participating in the study, a pre-test and post-test comprised of a questionnaire were conducted to explore the effectiveness of the lesson plan on the students' sex role characteristics, awareness of gender-role equity in occupational, familial and societal settings and of participation in household chores. Results from the post-test revealed that the students displayed androgynous sex-role characteristics, a heightened awareness of gender-role equity and a higher degree of participation in household chores after the five sessions. Assessment of the class was found to be very positive. Consequently the study showed that the lesson proved to be helpful for the students.

  • The purpose of the research is to investigate the perception of corporate and e-Learning institute on ubiquitous society and learning environment in the context of human resource development. In addition, the study aims to analyze their recognition of u-Learning's components into the level of significance and actualization. The total of 118 institutes were participated in the research survey among the 144 e-learning certified institutes from the Ministry of Labor. The research includes the results of survey and implications on the area of human resource development.

  • 본 연구에서는 온라인 상에서 대학학위 과정 교육을 목적으로 제작된 외국어 콘텐츠의 웹 아이덴티티 규명의 필요성과 규명된 웹 아이덴티티와 학습동기유발간의 상관관계를 연구하는데 중점을 둔다. 본 연구에서 채택된 외국어 교육 콘텐츠는 타 교육 분야보다 각 민족 언어의 아이덴티티가 시각적으로 재현되는 방식이 다양하다는 점에서 연구대상으로 부각되었다. 본 연구는 기존에 제시된 바 있는 웹 아이덴티티 분석 기준에서 출발하여 온라인 교육 콘텐츠 측면에서 이를 적용 및 재해석하고, 온라인 교육 콘텐츠 의 웹 아이덴티티 기준을 추가하였다. 따라서, 본 연구는 4년제 학사 학위를 수여하는 국내 0 사이버대학교의 외국어 교육 콘텐츠(영어, 일어, 중국어)의 사례를 웹 아이덴티티를 구현하는 세부 요소--시각디자인측면, 사운드측면, 인터페이스측면--에 맞추어 분석을 시도하였다. 또한 웹 아이덴티티가 적용된 각 외국어 교육 콘텐츠의 교육 효과 획득을 위한 학습동기유발 효과와의 상관관계를 알기 위하여 웹 아이덴티티가 적용, 제작된 외국어 교육 콘텐츠와 웹 아이덴티티가 적용되지 않은 채 제작된 외국어 교육 콘텐츠 간의 주의력, 관련성, 자신감, 만족감 등 학습동기유발 효과를 비교하는 설문 조사를 진행하였다. 이를 통해 온라인 외국어 교육 콘텐츠에 있어서 웹 아이덴티티의 개발과 적용이 외국어 교육 효과를 높이는 학습동기유발에 유의미한 역할을 한다는 것이 확인되었다.

A Study on the Fundamental Course of Multimedia Design (멀티미디어 디자인 교육의 기초 과정에 대한 연구)

  • As evolution of multimedia technology brings changes to industries concerned with design, new education program is needed to cultivate designers with abilities which are adapted to changed circumstance. This paper is purposed to show guideline to set up a fundamental course for multimedia design in which students know what are new presentation modes and learn how to use them, Multimedia design call for abilities of organizing information, representing, and implementing interactivity. Among them, fundamental course considers representing information as central subject. And it also contains lessons which are relative to proceeding courses. It should have students to experience creative composition and various expressions, and study cognitive or aesthetic effects of them. All activities are based on the understanding about presentation factors and principles. Basic course's lessons are composed by two main subjects, which are essential expression and matters relative to organization and interactivity. Described in detail, lessons are divided into three phases. First phase is combining presentation factors for affective effects, second is delivering message of various knowledges and third is forming simple interaction.

Auto-tagging Method for Unlabeled Item Images with Hypernetworks for Article-related Item Recommender Systems (잡지기사 관련 상품 연계 추천 서비스를 위한 하이퍼네트워크 기반의 상품이미지 자동 태깅 기법)

  • Article-related product recommender system is an emerging e-commerce service which recommends items based on association in contexts between items and articles. Current services recommend based on the similarity between tags of articles and items, which is deficient not only due to the high cost in manual tagging but also low accuracies in recommendation. As a component of novel article-related item recommender system, we propose a new method for tagging item images based on pre-defined categories. We suggest a hypernetwork-based algorithm for learning association between images, which is represented by visual words, and categories of products. Learned hypernetwork are used to assign multiple tags to unlabeled item images. We show the ability of our method with a product set of real-world online shopping-mall including 1,251 product images with 10 categories. Experimental results not only show that the proposed method has competitive tagging performance compared with other classifiers but also present that the proposed multi-tagging method based on hypernetworks improves the accuracy of tagging.

Analysis of Non-Computer Majors' Difficulties in Computational Thinking Education (Computational Thinking 교육에서 나타난 컴퓨터 비전공 학습자들의 어려움 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide considerations through investigation and analysis about non-computer major learners' difficulties in computational thinking education. In recent, the importance of human resources development in convergence based on computational thinking is increasing internationally and a Korean university is selecting CT as a mandatory subject. I taught CT with Scratch at C university in Seoul for two semesters in 2014 and investigated and analyzed what difficulties non-Computer majors felt in the process of CT education. The result showed they felt the following some difficulties in order: the concept of variable and list; to think a idea and implement it; which commands should be selected. The pleasure and the interest can be apply to decrease difficulty, because they affect self-programming ability and self-CT capability each other statistically. Although Scratch is an easy and an intuitive programming language, it is needed to consider to provide appropriate learning time to student for using and applying commands.
