  • Activation Plan for International Health Care through the Resolution of Medical Disputes with Foreign Patients. The field of international health care is currently being expanded and developed into the new industrial field of medical tourism through the convergence of medicine - a public sector - and tourism - a private sector. This study examines problems with medical law regarding the prevention of medical disputes that may occur when attracting foreign patients and the resolution of these disputes. It also introduces the current most ideal resolution plan for medical disputes. Advanced measures for the prevention of medical disputes with foreign patients are as follows: First, when conducting international health care, the obligation to explain a medical treatment should be applied at higher standards for foreign patients. Second, all medical treatment procedures, including appointments, treatments, discharge, post-operation consultations, and follow-up treatments of foreign patients should be charted and recorded. A checklist regarding precautions for each procedure along with a response manual for problems should also be established. These regulations can prevent unexpected conflicts in advance when medical disputes occur. If a medical dispute with a foreign patient occurs despite thorough advance prevention, it can be resolved through reconciliation, mediation, and arbitration. The government and the medical field along with its related industries and authorities should put their efforts into developing these priori/posteriori measures for the activation of international medical health care. The laws and technological/human capabilities in medicine should also be improved in order to activate international medical health care.

  • This study examined the main factors for activating rural tourism of Jeollabuk-do using big data analysis. The tourism big data was gathered from public open data sources and social network services (SNS), and the analysis tools, 'Opinion Mining', 'Text Mining', and 'Social Network Analysis(SNA)' were used. The opinion mining and text mining analysis identified the key local contents of the 14 areas of Jeollabuk-do and the evaluations of customers on rural tourism. Social network analysis detected the relationships between their contents and determined the importance of the contents. The results of this research showed that each location in Jeollabuk-do had their specific contents attracting visitors and the number of contents affected the scale of tourists. In addition, the number of visitors might be large when their tourism contents were strongly correlated with the other contents. Hence, strong connections among their contents are a point to activate rural tourism. Social network analysis divided the contents into several clusters and derived the eigenvector centralities of the content nodes implying the importance of them in the network. Tourism was active when the nodes at high value of the eigenvector centrality were distributed evenly in every cluster; however the results were contrary when the nodes were located in a few clusters. This study suggests an action plan to extend rural tourism that develop valuable contents and connect the content clusters properly.

Urban parks designed for the rural areas can be divided into three types: a themed type for rural tourism, a community type for hub regenerations and a waterfront type for using agricultural reservoirs. To use the themes and characteristics of ruralness, these types are required a multi-layered spatial structure. And ecological, cultural and economic networks of local tourism resources have to be integrated by utilizing agricultural reservoirs. Therefore, urban parks in rural areas can be defined as a part of the public benefit project aiming to revitalize the local economy. Also, urban parks are necessary to use attractions and amenities in rural areas. Based on theoretical backgrounds, this study proposed two sustainable master plans as the tourism resource development project for Baelyeonje, Gulye-gun. For ecological and cultural sustainability, this study proposed the environment restoration plan which reinforces the scenic resource of Nogodan in Mt.
