  • Science and technology are deeply based on the invention of photography. The images that were made through machines and scientific process were not just delicate images. Photography was used wherever accurate record and realistic description were needed, such as public culture, art, advertisement, science research and so on, so it became an important part of anthropologic culture. However, the history of photography in the present photography education mainly deal with photographic tendency of famous photographers, the change of art paradigm by time period, social changes through big wars, thus there is a lack of diverse perspective in the history of photography, such as technological perspective. In this study, the history of photography was examined through science and technology, and analyzed how photography was affected and changed by the stage of important technological accomplishment. From this point of view, It will be helpful to understand modern photography, and meaningful to be a good reference. Furthermore, by understanding that photography relies on technology, the people who majored in photography will realize how important studying photographic technology and theories is.

  • This study investigated whether there was a difference of the change in perspective of the nature of science depending on subjects of the history of science, after designing for two kinds of topics of role play programs based on the history of science to be transformed into a modern perspective. Before the history of science-role plays, the degree of the modern perspective was statistically no difference between group I(the atomic model transition-role play) and group II(the Mendeleev's periodic table-role play). However after treatment of the history of science-role plays for the each group, the degree of group I was higher than the degree of group II in the modern perspective. The results of this study indicate that the degree of changes into modern perspective of the nature of science by performing a history of science-role play may be depend on the subject of the history of science combined with the role play, and suggest the possibility that may be more effective to change the nature of science into the modern perspective, in case of performing of role play based on the history of science that includes the scientific knowledge established by a number of scientists with time series.

  • The Agency of Employment and Labor produces various records that are related to labor history subject while performing its functions such as labor supervision. Some valuable records were discarded even if they are worthy enough to be researched from a historical perspective. Thus, this article contributes to classifying the main subjects and the main agents of an action in view of macrohistory and microhistory. Some examples of the records that require prolonged preservation were also presented by each issue. Furthermore, this article proposes a dramatic improvement of the records schedule. It also presents other issues as the foundation of the valuation standard based on the subject including the conversion of the strategy of archival appraisal, and selection that combines the function and the subject.

  • Student understanding of the nature of science is necessary not only because it is helpful for solving everyday problems with growing science literacy, but also because it influences students' science learning. Therefore, it was necessary to investigate student views on the nature of science under the 7th national curriculum and compare with those before the 7th national curriculum in order to probe the elements which contribute to changes in student views on the nature of science. A significant number of differences were found between subdimensions of views on the nature of science through the comparison. High school students under the 7th national curriculum had more relativistic, instrumental, and deductive but less process-oriented views than high school students before the 7th national curriculum. The differences between mean values which showed high school student views on the nature of science under and before the 7th national curriculum were significant, except for the subdimension of instrumentanlism/realism. In particular, high school students under the 7th national curriculum possessed a contextual view, whereas those before the 7th national curriculum possessed a decontextual view. Although other factors might be the cause for differences found in this study, we argued by discussion that differences among textbook contents seemed to be the major factor.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore high school students' perception of the relationship among science, history, and history of science which is one of the career elective subjects in the 2015 revised science curriculum. This study compares students' perception before and after experiencing history of science course. To do this, data in the format of Venn diagram that students draw to represent their perception on relationship between the history of science, science, and history were collected. The collected data were inductively categorized. As a result of analyzing the Venn Diagram data, there are five different kinds of categories: 'History of science as an intersection of science and history,' 'History of science as an independent domain,' 'History of science as part of history,' 'History of science as part of science,' and 'History of science encompassing both science and history.' And there were 27 different sub-categories within the 5 categories. In addition, before taking the course on history of science, many students tended to regard science history as the intersection of science and history. However, after the course, students' perception changed and differed according to their affiliated academic track. For the humanities, history of science is perceived as part of history, and for the students in science track it is perceived as a part of science. Based on these findings, we suggest that history of science teaching-learning should be conducted that help high school students to experience a new perspective that is different from the curriculum in affiliated academic track.

  • Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) has focused on improving the modularity of the crosscutting concerns. The existing AOP methodology has been mainly focused on the implementation method of programs and thus developer-oriented concern extraction and development were performed. Recently, many studies for applying AOP to the entire software development processes ranging from requirement analysis to design and implementation are being conducted. But specification methods having consistency from the initial phase of concern extraction to implementation phase are not sufficient. In this paper, we have presented the specification of crosscutting concerns so as to solve these problems. The specification of crosscutting concerns provides guidelines and specification from the requirement analysis phase to the process of converting extracted crosscutting concerns to codes. This method reduces the gap to the process of mapping extracted crosscutting concerns into a single class and thus enhances program development and understandability. In addition, it raises program reusability, maintenance and extensibility by enhancing traceability.

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the secondary science teachers' viewpoints of basic particles conceptions addressed in science course. The first content of this study was to analyze the secondary science teachers conceptions related to basic particles founded on scientific history viewpoints. The second content was to investigate their understanding of relations between atom, element, and molecule concepts. The third content was to search the factors influenced on basic particles conceptions of science teachers. For this study, 96 secondary science teachers were selected. The data of this study were collected through a questionnaire developed for this study and were analysed using the method of constant comparative analysis. The results showed that their viewpoints towards basic particles were similar to each other regardless of their majors and their conceptions belonged to the past viewpoints. The teachers lacked linking understand among basic particles conceptions because they applied different viewpoints on different problems. Most of the teachers were influenced on science textbooks, guidebooks for teachers, and reference books to form confusing viewpoints of basic particles.

  • History and philosophy of science has been consistently emphasized in science education for various purposes. In accordance with the introduction of the 2015 revised curriculum, history of science could be implemented for the curriculum; designing well-organized learning strategies is required. This study examines the case of undergraduate students who solved the convergence problem based on history and philosophy of science in the problem-based learning program. In particular, this study tries to find strategies for integrated education by comparing the problem structuring process and the meaning of problem solving experience of science/engineering and humanities/social sciences students. Participants were three students majoring in science/engineering and humanities/social sciences. Participants constructed and solved their own convergence problems by integrating the domains that were familiar to them into history and philosophy of science. While the process of structuring the problems and the use of history and philosophy of science were similar, there were differences between the science/engineering and humanities/social sciences students' point of view on history and philosophy of science and the other domain which they choose. Moreover, there were differences between the two group's meanings of problem solving experience. Finally, based on the results of this study, history and philosophy in science provided some implications in the context of science education and integrated education.

  • To reduce conducted a survey on human error risk factors and related experience frequency to drivers of Seoulmetro and Korail. The human error arising from systems operating urban railway aimed at eliminating and reducing the fundamental causes of urban rail accidents is based on research from a factorial point of view, since it contains problems dealing with the types and situations of accident generation. It is required to contribute to reducing human error so that urban railway accidents may be reduced and safe operation will be continuedly seared.
