The contents of articles on food safety and policy in the Donga and Chosun Ilbo from January 1960 to June 1996 were analyzed for the evaluation of subjects and trends in mass media. Among the total of 490 articles, those on cereals were most frequently appeared (20.0%), followed by the articles on sea foods (10.6%) and meats (10.0%). Articles on fats and oils were the least (2.0%) in frequencies. The proportions of articles classified based on the 10-year interval were 28.0% in the 60's, 28.0% in the 70's, 20.6% in the 80's, and 23.4% in the 90's. Major contents of articles were the safety of imported foods, food contaminations by agricultural chemicals, heavy metals and harmful additives.

The purpose of this study was to analysis natural disasters which can be applied environmental education for elementary students. For this study, the elementary society and science textbooks were selected. The results of this study are as follows. the society textbooks contain 2 units of the natural disaster in the 4th and 5th grades. In the science textbooks, 5 units of the natural disaster were showed in 3rd, 5th and 6th grades. The learning quantities were 4 hours in society textbooks and 7 hours in science textbooks. In society textbooks, the contents relating meteorological disasters were dominance. But the science textbooks were showed both meteorological and geological disasters. In aims of learning, while the society textbooks were focused as damages, prevention, counter-plan and restoring plan of the natural disaster, the science textbooks were emphasized damages. the photos in society textbooks, meteorological disasters were superiority in number; especially the flood and heavy rain were 76%. In science textbooks, the photos about earthquake were prominent as 40%. For activating environmental education in elementary school based on these results, it can be suggested that the effects of natural damage as tsunami and global warming should add to elementary textbooks. And the elementary teachers need to understand contents and photos relating environment problem in the elementary textbooks.

Most of the studies of mathematics so far have found positive changes in the effectiveness of the academic achievements of academic achievement, as well as positive changes in the effectiveness of academic achievement or attitudes or attitudes towards mathematics. The purpose of this study was to investigate the achievement criteria for the use of the teaching aids and to present the teaching aids and the methods for teaching the learning contents appropriate to the achievement standards. Specifically, it finds the achievement standard suitable for the learning contents instruction course of the textbooks of the elementary school 1st and 2nd graders, finds the available diocese in the standard diocese for the math class, and investigates the diocese in use in the present textbook.

The academic journal is an important medium carrying newly discovered knowledge in various disciplines. It is desirable to consider visualization of journal and article information in order to make the information more insightful and effective than text-based information. In this study, visualization service platform of journal and article information is developed. TagCloud were included in both Infographics of journal and article. Each word in the TagCloud is inter-linked with DBPedia using Linked Open Data (LOD) technique.

생물정보학의 다양한 이론적 내용과 계산적 방법들이 갈수록 전문화 되어짐에 따라 신약 개발, 신 물질 합성, 단백질의 구조 예측 등 다양한 분야에서 필요성이 커져가고 있다. 이 중 molecular docking 기술은 단백질과 특정 분자간의 결합 형태를 분자 모델링 기법을 통해 알아내는 방법이며 신약개발 연구에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. Molecular docking을 통하여 분자간의 결합 형태를 예측하는 과정에서 Protein-ligand complex의 정확한 에너지 측정을 가능하게 하는 scoring function이 필요하다. 그런데 본 연구에서 사용한 B-Raf kinase protein 은 active site 부분에서 ligand와 receptor 간에 aromatic ring로 인한 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction이 정확한 에너지 계산을 어렵게 한다. 이러한 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction 부분의 에너지를 정확하게 계산하기 위해 양자역학 계산을 실시하였다. Active site 부분에서 ligand와 receptor에서 발생하는 각각 다른 5개의 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction 구조를 준비하여 Gaussian을 통해 양자역학 에너지를 계산하였다. 그리고 이러한 결과 값들이 ligand의 활성 값과 어떤 상관관계를 갖는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction을 양자역학으로 계산한 값이 그렇지 않은 것보다 더 좋은 상관관계를 보여주었다. 이는 특별한 구조의 영향으로 ligand와 receptor 간의 결합에너지를 정확하게 계산하기 어려운 문제에서 양자역학을 적용할 경우 더욱 좋은 결과값을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 데이터가 신 물질 개발이나 신약 개발 등의 다양한 분야에서 계산화학 방법이 신뢰성을 얻는데 도움 될 수 있다고 생각된다.

This study analyzed content on education for sustainable development in middle school science curriculum of $6^{th}$, $7^{th}$, 2007-revised and 2009-revised. Analyses criteria were developed based on literature reviews. This study developed 8 criteria such as health, climate change, urbanization and rural development, water, biodiversity and ecosystem, energy, disaster reduction and management. The results showed that 6th middle school science curriculum has 4 criteria, $7^{th}$ has 2 criteria, 2007-revised has 8 criteria, and 2009-revised has 7 criteria. This study suggests the need for developing systemized teaching material on education for sustainable development that can be integrated in the science curriculum by pursuing the following tasks: First, the goal of education for sustainable development and its need should be stated in the science curriculum. Second, the class content, themes, objectives, teaching-learning programs on education for sustainable development should be produced. Third, within science curriculum, the content should deal with perspectives and topics, and learning goal must pursue value education.

This study aims to analyze the science content in secondary school environmental education(EE) textbooks and the environment-related content in secondary school science text- books. Firstly, a total of 73 EE and science textbooks for secondary students were reviewed, which three kinds of textbooks, secondary school EE textbooks and the 10th grade "Science" textbooks, were finally selected for analysis. Three researchers separately analyzed the textbooks using NAAEE framework(1996) for the development of EE materials. In condition that there was a disagreement in their opinion, they had discussed until they came to an agreement. The results showed that secondary school EE textbooks contained more and deeper science concepts than the 10th grade "Science" textbooks, which were evaluated better in all perspectives of the analysis framework. The 10th grade "Science" textbooks had more various teaching and learning activities than EE textbooks. It it expected that the new EE textbook developers should consider the ultimate goal of EE which focused the affective perspectives rather than the cognitive perspectives.

The purpose of this study was to figure out requirements and considerations of guidelines for libraries serving active older adults in Korea. The research data were collected by examining domestic laws and policies, foreign library guidelines and service practices. Two focus group interviews were also conducted with 10 librarians of Seoul metropolitan area. The research findings were the following: Specific guidelines should be set up including sections of information resources, human resources, facilities, service & programs, and promotion & marketing. The guideline should also include not only solutions for improving digital literacy of old adults but solving librarians' difficulties with serving old adults.

Although Nepal is naturally bestowed with ample water resources, not all of the population has access to safe and clean drinking water. Waste water treatment is almost nonexistent. In the recent days the flow of population in the urban areas has increased the existing challenges of providing safe water and promoting sanitation. The prevalence of water borne diseases is high. This paper presents overview of issues like water pollution, arsenic contamination of drinking water, waste water treatment and effects of water contamination on public health. Comparison between waste water treatment regulations in South Korea and Nepal has also been made. Implementation strategies to tackle the existing water related problem for promoting public health is also recommended.

This study endeavors to delineate the essential components of digital preservation policies requisite for data repositories. Drawing from an examination of digital preservation policies from data repositories accredited by CoreTrustSeal in 2023, this study unveils the pivotal components intrinsic to a digital preservation policy framework, subsequently elucidating the content each component encompasses. The proffered framework is anticipated to serve as a foundational reference for institutions aiming to craft their digital preservation policies, transcending the confines of those solely pursuing CoreTrustSeal certification, to encompass both domestic and international institutions irrespective of their intent to seek CoreTrustSeal certification.
