The Effect of a Robot C Programming Curriculum on Improving Creativity and Programming Ability - Case of a Science high School- (로봇C언어 교육프로그램이 창의력과 프로그래밍 능력 향상에 미치는 효과 - 과학 고등학교 사례-)

  • The aim of this thesis is to develop a robot C programming curriculum with the subject of the students in the middle & High School and to prove the effect of the programming on creativity and programming ability. The content of the robot C programming curriculum consists of the introduction, basic knowledge and assembling of the robot (usage of kits and the theory of mechanism); the learning of the robot c programming; the assigned robot making; the original robot making, which is ultimately designed to improve the creative robot programming ability of students. The subjects are divided into two groups(38); one groups(11) taking the course of C++programming and the other(27) taking the robot C programming as well as C++programming. Then each group's improvement of creativity and programming ability is measured in both pretest and posttest. The students taking the robot C programming curriculum gain the product of the assigned robot and the original robot. Besides, it turns out that the curriculum have a meaningful effect in that students acquire the enhanced creativity according to the result of TTCT Creativity Test. Self evaluation also indicates the improvement of C++programming ability.

  • This study investigates the theoretical discourses about the principle of original order. It reviews the literature about the theory in the context of personal and family papers. The authors examine the practical application of the principle of original order in the case of the No Gun Ri archives. No Gun Ri collections started with the records that the Chung family's have accumulated and created. Without an understanding of the Chung family papers, it is extremely difficult to identify a way to arrange No Gun Ri reords. This paper analyzes the meaning and interpretation of the principle of original order to find a way to apply it to the No Gun Ri records.

The Effect of Leader's Machiavellianism on Turnover Intention: Mediating Effect of Hindsight Bias (리더의 마키아벨리즘이 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 후견지명의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the correlation between leader's machiavellianism and turnover intention. To this end, we tried to investigate the overall mechanism of the research model through the mediating effect of hindsight bias. To verify the hypothesis, surveys were conducted twice with 335 employees working at companies with more than 300 employees in various occupations. As a result of the study, first, it was found that the machiavellianism of the leader had a positive significant effect on the employee turnover intention. Second, it was found that hindsight bias had a positive significant mediating effect between the leader's machiavellianism and employee turnover intention. It can be inferred that the higher the machiavellianism tendency of the leader, the higher the hindsight bias is experienced and the negative impact on the effectiveness of the organization, the higher the employee turnover intention. Therefore, this study in-depth verifies the mechanism between the leader's machiavellianism, hindsight bias, and employee turnover intentions, suggesting new implications from a perspective different from the existing research flow, and suggesting future research tasks and limitations on the role of leaders.

The Analysis of Scientific Attitude in the Government-designated and Authorized Teacher's Guides of Elementary School Science for the 3rd~4th Grades (초등 3~4학년군 국정 및 검정 과학 교사용지도서의 과학적 태도 분석: '지구와 우주' 영역을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze scientific attitude and its components in the general remarks and in the particulars of one government-designated and seven authorized elementary school science teacher's guides for the 3rd~4th grades which were developed according to the 2015 national science curriculum, and to derive implications for future development of teacher's guide. The results of the study are as follows: First, in their general remarks, five of eight teacher's guides (62.5%) give a very brief explanation on the components of scientific attitude, and the remaining three teacher's guides give a relatively detailed explanation on the components but they lack practical information on teaching and assessing of the components; Second, in the case of unit objective in the four units of the area of 'Earth and Universe', five of eight teacher's guides (62.5%) contain 3~4 components among 'curiosity', 'cooperation', 'objectivity', 'critical mindedness', or 'respect for evidence', and one of the remaining three teacher's guides contains only the component of 'curiosity', another guide doesn't have any component, and the other guide doesn't have unit objective itself; Third, in the case of unit assessment, only one of eight teacher's guide (12.5%) has independent unit assessment, includes several components of scientific attitude in the unit assessment, and is broadly consistent between the components of scientific attitude in unit objective and in unit assessment; Fourth, in case of lesson objective, three teacher's guide (37.5%) contain 3~4 components among 'curiosity', 'cooperation', 'objectivity' and 'critical mindedness', and the remaining five teacher's guide (62.5%) include only 'curiosity'; Fifth, in the case of lesson assessment, among eight teacher's guides, five (62.5%) evaluate 3~4 components of scientific attitudes, two (25.0%) evaluate only 'curiosity' and 'cooperation', and one (12.5%) does not evaluate anything.

Survey of High School Student and Chemistry Teacher Perceptions and Analysis of Textbook Contents Related to the Effect of Water Vapor in the Air on Evaporation and Boiling (대기 중의 수증기량이 증발과 끓음에 미치는 영향에 대한 고등학생과 화학 전공 교사들의 인식 조사 및 관련 교과서 내용 분석)

  • This study investigated high school student and chemistry teacher perceptions on the effect of water vapor in the air on evaporation and boiling of water by a questionnaire. In science textbooks evaporation and the boiling of water are related to the vaporization concept, boiling is related to vapor pressure and air pressure, and vapor pressure is related to the vapor concept in the air. High school student and chemistry teacher perceptions on these linkages were compared. Science textbooks were also analyzed for reasons behind these diverse perceptions. Results revealed that a majority of students conceptualized that vapor in the air was related to evaporation and boiling, but were unable to distinguish the evaporation phenomena at the macroscopic level and the evaporation of water molecules at the microscopic level. They also thought that vapor in the air affected vapor pressure and boiling. Although the percentage of teacher scientific conception was higher, a great number of teachers had diverse perceptions on evaporation and boiling just as students had. Common explanations of evaporation and boiling phenomena in science textbooks were at the macroscopic level. Moreover, there were few connections of concepts even if the explanations were at the microscopic level.

Development of Framework and Rubric for Measuring Students' Level of Systems Thinking (학생들의 시스템 사고 수준 측정을 위한 Framework와 Rubric의 개발)

  • The purposes of this study are 1) to identify systems thinking level and definition, 2) to develop a framework for the assessment of systems thinking level, and 3) to develop a rubric for scoring open-ended written responded test. In order to achieve these purposes, a total of 60 articles were analyzed by using the literature analysis framework. The systems thinking level and definition are identified through the results of systems thinking literature analysis. Based on the systems thinking level and definitions, the research derived a framework that includes the core ideas and evaluation content of each level. In addition, rubric for the scoring of open-ended response test items was revised and supplemented. It is concluded that a content validity test on the tools (systems thinking level and definition, framework for item development, rubric) has been developed in the study. The content validity was verified by 7-science education experts. According to the result of CVI, it was found to be more than .95 in all three tools. Based on the results of this study, the research will develop items that can measure students' level of systems thinking. The construct validity and criterion validity of the developed items should be verified systematically. The research could carry out a validation study for the systems thinking measurement related to the core competence emphasized in the 2015 revised curriculum.

Analysis of Assessment Indicator on Priorities for Budget Allocation of the National R&D Program (국가연구개발사업 예산배분을 위한 우선순위 판단지표 분석)

  • This paper is to review assessment indicator on priorities for budget allocation of the national R&D program. In priority setting of programs for the budget allocation process of the national R&D program using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), the survey result on the major influencing factors is as follows: the significance of components of evaluation for the priority of the national R&D programs in budget allocation was as following order: "accomplishment and ripple effect of the project," "basis and driving force for the promotion of project," "feasibility of project goals," and the "possibility of overlapping and linkage among projects". The importance of the final evaluation indicator was as following order: "clarity and possibility for accomplishment of business objectives," "ripple effects in terms of science and technology", "ripple effects in terms of the economy and overall society" and "appropriate correspondence with mid- to long-term plans" (the importance for these four indicators was over 10%) while the importance of "overlapping" and "appropriateness of budget size" indicators which fell below 5% were considered to be relatively less important. there is a need for a clear criteria and conceptions of evaluation indicators for budget allocation of national R&D programs.

An Analysis of the Experimental Designs Suggested by Students for Testing Scientific Hypotheses (과학적 가설 검증을 위한 학생들의 실험 설계 내용 분석)

  • This study is one of the successive studies for investigating students' processes of generating and evaluating scientific hypothesis. In this study, I analyzed the characteristics of students' experimental design to test whether the given hypotheses were correct or not. As results, it was found that (1) 3 components (experimental method, prediction of the result of experiment, evaluation of hypothesis) were needed to complete description of the experimental design, (2) students tried to test hypothesis considered as being correct as well as hypothesis considered as being false by students, (3) student tried to confirm hypothesis, which was considered as being correct, based on theoretical approach rather than experimental approach, (4) students' experimental design could be classified as two types, that is, direct experimental testing and comparative experimental design, and the latter could be classified as two subtypes; positive comparative one and negative comparative one, (5) students showed tendency to design positive comparative experiment when they considered hypothesis as being correct, and vise versa, (6) students preferred the prediction which could confirm the hypothesis when they considered the hypothesis as being correct, and vise versa, (7) many students rejected contradicting prediction even though they did not actually conduct experiment yet.

Development, Current Issues and Prospects of Organic Agriculture Movement in Korean

  • 유기농산물은 질 좋은 농산물이며 그 생산농법이 환경친화적인 것으로 이해하고 있어 참여농가수도 증가일로에 있고 소비자들에 의한 유기농산물 구입 역시 점차 증가 추세에 있으나, 한국유기농업은 국제적 유기농업에 다르게 잘못 정의된 채 확산되고 있어, 그 핵심기술의 환경영향평가의 과학화에 대한 시대적 요청과 유기농업 기본규약 제정 필요성이 학계 일부에서 제기 되고 있는 등 한국유기농업은 최근 발전을 위한 진통을 겪고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 한국유기농업이 태동된 배경과 70년대 말로부터 80년대 초에 걸쳐 태생된 한국유기농업이 국민적 관심을 얻게된 배경과 정농회, 한국유기농업협회, 한국자연농업협회, 한 살림 등의 유기농업단체와 한국유기농업학회, 환경보전형농업생산소비단체협의회, 흙살림연구소 등의 발전과정 및 활동을 소개하고 있다. 또한 서울에서 개최된 IFOAM Asia대회, 한국자연농업협회의“자연농업연구소”, 한국유기농업협회의“건강과 자연농업”등에 관해서 뿐만 아니라 우리 정부의 21세기를 향한 농림환경정책중 유기농업부문에 대한 각종 장기지원책, 즉 중소농대책의 일환의 유기-자연농업 지원책, 유기농산물에 대한 품질인증제 및 팔당상수원보호구역내 유기농업지원 등이 소개되고 있다. 한편 한국유기농업기술의 핵심내용이었던 유기질비료 과다시용 문제가“유기농산물 채소의 고 질산염 함량”으로 촉발된 식품안정성 논쟁 후에 유기질비료의 추천시용량이 다다익선적 개념에서 80t/㏊으로 낮아졌다가 다시 50t/㏊으로 낮아졌으며 1996년 6월부터는 20t/㏊로 크게 낮추어 졌음을 보고하고 있다. 또한 일부 선도적 유기독농가의 경험적 기술이 토대가 되어 성립된 현 유기농업기술은 과학적 기술검증을 거쳐야 함과 퇴비사용 만으로 실시하는 현 유기농업 기술에 의해 야기되는 근권내 질산 미치 인산염 집적을 회피하기 위해서는 윤작, 녹비작물 및 두과작물의 재배로 토양비옥도 향상을 통한 유기농업 기술 개발이 필요하며 IFOAM 기본규약과 FAO/WHO Codex의 핵심 내용을 수용하는 한국유기농업 기본규약 제정이 제정이 절실히 요구됨을 강조하고 있다. 마지막으로 한국유기농업의 핵심기술에 대한 환경영향평가와 기본규약제정 필요성을 역설하고 한국유기농업의 과학화와 질 좋은 유기농산물 생산을 위해 노력하고 있는 소비자 문제를 연구하는 시민의 모임 등 몇몇 단체들의 최근 활동이 언급되고 유기농업에 대한 농과대학내 연구와 강의 등이 소개되었다.

Proposal for Possibility of Using Metaverse in the 'Earth and Space' Area of Pre-service Elementary Teachers' (초등예비교사의 '지구와 우주' 영역에서 메타버스 활용가능성 제안)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception of pre-service elementary teachers on the educational approach to metaverse. Questions about metaverse were asked to 71 pre-service elementary teachers who were taking the course 'Study of Textbooks in Elementary Science II'. The results of analyzing the contents of the questions are as follows. The results and conclusions were presented through numerical analysis and static analysis based on the responses to questions presented using the university's LMS system. First, the level of understanding of the metaverse of pre-service elementary teachers is very high. Pre-service elementary teachers, as the MZ generation, are already living in a very fast IT environment that can be the basis of the metaverse, so it would have been helpful to understand the metaverse. Second, the need for the metaverse of pre-service elementary teachers is very high. There was a tendency to think that the perception of pre-service elementary teachers is because the metaverse has many factors that can provide higher quality education beyond the current educational environment. Third, in the question of applicability exploration in the 'Earth and Space' domain of Pre-service elementary teachers, there have been few cases in which instructional design was planned based on instructional design principles. Based on these results, if the possibility of metaverse application is proposed in the 'Earth and Space' domain, educational contents using virtual space that can transcend time and space will be very necessary. Based on these results, suggestions are made as follows. First, educational content incorporating the metaverse technique based on instructional design should be developed and utilized. Second, financial support should be provided so that the metaverse can be implemented in the educational environment. Third, it is necessary to provide training opportunities for teachers (including Pre-service elementary teachers) to give lectures on metaverse.
