A Study on the Effects of Emotional Labor on Counterproductive Work Behavior via Burnout (감정노동이 직무소진을 매개로 반생산적과업행동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Recently the importance of emotional labor has increased so this study aims to prove the effects of emotional labor(surface acting and deep acting) on counterproductive work behaviors(deviate from organization and individual deviation) using burnout(emotional exhaustion, personality disorder, decrease in sense of accomplishment) as a medium. 350 surveys were sent to employees such as workers from call centers, salesperson from department store, financial worker, hospital staff, flight attendant and workers from customer center who and worked with emotional labor and 300 surveys excluding insincere ones were used for analysis. The result is as follows. First, surface acting which is a type of emotional labor chosen by customer workers had a positive effect on burnout such as personality disorder and decrease in sense of accomplishment. Second, deep acting had a negative effect on personality disorder and decrease in sense of accomplishment but did not show any effect on emotional exhaustion. Third, personality disorder and decrease in sense of accomplishment among burnout had effect on counterproductive work behaviors(deviate from organization, individual deviation) but emotional exhaustion did not show any effect on work behaviors(deviate from organization, individual deviation). Based on the result of analysis, implication of this study and direction of future research were suggested.

The Perceived Usefulness of Smartwork and Work-family Conflict (스마트워크 유용성 지각과 일-가정 갈등에 관한 연구: 경계유연추구의도의 매개효과 및 과업상호의존성과 과정통제의 조절효과 검증)

  • It is expected that expanded use of smartphone and enhanced information technology will enable smartwork to change individuals and organizations. Smartwork is expected to allow people to perform their roles without barriers of time and space. However, people tend not to accept and actively utilize smartwork. The present study is to examine how important flexibility-willingness is for performance outcome in the context of smartwork. It was hypothesized that flexibility-willingness mediates between perceived smartwork usefulness and work-family conflict. It was also hypothesized based on technology acceptance model that task interdependence and process control moderates the relationship between flexibility-willingness and work-family conflict because the relationship is not consistent. The results show that the mediation effect of the flexibility-willingness is statistically significant. The moderator effects of task interdependence was marginal proved but process control wasn't. From these results, we discussed the theoretical implications of findings, limitations, suggestions for future research in discussion.

A narrative research on the job and the job-related learning of a mechanical engineer - an exemplary study on the characteristic of job-related learning of engineer in work place and it's implication on engineering education (기계설계분야 중견 엔지니어의 일과 학습에 관한 내러티브 연구 - 엔지니어의 직무관련 학습의 맥락과 공학교육에 대한 시사점 찾기)

  • This study inquired following research questions by a narrative research method : What was the job of an engineer in mechanical design field? How did he fulfill his job-related learning in his workplace? What were the context and the characteristic of the job-related learning in the workplace? And some implications of the job-related learning on engineering education were discussed. We identified that the research participant's career as a mechanical engineer has developed through three stages. At first, he engaged on conceptual design of a semi-conductor test machine through self-initiated learning from basic to whole system of the machine. At second stage, he leaded a design group for the concrete design of a ball type semi-conductor test machine. In this stage he learned the meaning of cooperation and cooperative learning. At third stage, he initiated to found an entrepreneur company that was specified to design a semi-conductor test machine. He became CEO of the company. He learned the R & D policy making through contacts with global company, visiting exhibition in abroad. Eventually his main task as a mechanical engineer was the problem solving in the process of machine design. He had experienced and learned through his works : project management, independent fulfilling of tasks, functional analysis and reverse engineering, conceptualizing and test, cohesive cooperation, dialogue and discussion, mediation of conflict, human relationship, leadership. The implication of the narrative analysis on engineering education is, proposed, to give the students more chances to experience and to learn such activities.

Job/Occupational Analysis of Secondary Mechanical and Metallurgical Education Teachers Using the DACUM Methodology (데이컴(DACUM) 기법을 활용한 기계·금속 교사의 직무 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the mechanical and metallurgical education (MME) teachers' job using the Developing a Curriculum (DACUM) methodology. To accomplish the purpose of this study, an MME teachers' job/occupational analysis was conducted in the following steps: "Planning the DACUM workshop," "Recruiting/Constructing the DACUM committee members," "Providing the DACUM orientation," "Holding the DACUM workshop," "Verifying the DACUM result," and "Refining the DACUM chart based on verification data." The DACUM job/occupational analysis was conducted by fifteen DACUM committee members in the DACUM workshop in January, 2015; moreover, the DACUM chart of the MME teachers was verified by the group of subject matter experts. The major findings of the study were as follows. First, this study defined the MME teachers who taught mechanical and metallurgical-related subjects to students with the secondary education teacher certification and performed work related to character education, career guidance, life guidance, and others in a specialized high school, the Meister high school. Second, this study determined 16 duties and 199 tasks for fulfilling the MME teachers' job; moreover, the study extracted the importance, difficulty, and frequency of each task and demand for the entry-level workforce. Third, this study provides the DACUM research chart based on the job/occupational analysis results of the MME teachers.

A Study on the Factors Influencing of Learning Organization and Organizational Effectiveness (학습조직의 영향요인과 조직유효성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study of improve the organizational performance and survival with the changes of the circumstances or in pursuit of improving the organizational effectiveness through the learning organization, the organizational culture was inspected with the condition precedent of the learning organization. The result of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, the learning organization has a positive effect on the organizational effectiveness. The knowledge and experience accumulated by the learning organization improve the official satisfaction. Second, in the organizational culture of the learning organization, developmental and rational culture has positive effect on the learning organization, but hierarchical and group culture has no effect. on the learning organization. Therefore, to establish the learning organization through the organizational learning, all managers realize the importance of developmental and rational culture because the organizational effectiveness is significant when the organization change is new.

Evaluation of Ecological Optimum Discharge by consideration of Fish community in Dal Stream (어류군집을 고려한 달천유역의 생태학적 최적유량 산정)

  • 본 연구에서는 달천구간 (괴산댐~송동보)에서 어류 군집 (Fish Community)을 고려한 생태학적 최적유량 (Ecological Optimum Discharge)을 산정하였다. 이를 위해 유량증진방법론(IFIM: Instream Flow Incremental Methodology)을 기반으로 한 2차원 모형인 River-2D를 적용하여 수리해석 및 대상어종 (Target Fishes)에 대한 가중가용면적 (WUA: Weighted Usable Area)을 산정하였다. 모형 검증을 위해 김원 등 (2007)에 의해 수행된 과업구간 내 수위 및 유량 모니터링 자료를 활용하였으며, 하류경계조건은 김지성 등 (2007)에 의한 수위-유량 관계곡선식을 활용하였다. 또한 평저류량 조건에서의 조도높이 (Roughness Height) 산정을 위해 유량 및 하상재료의 영향을 고려할 수 있는 멱함수 및 반대수함수 형태의 조도계수 공식을 적용하였다. 모형검증 결과 River-2D에 의해 계산된 수위값이 모니터링값과 비교적 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 대상유역에 대한 어류 모니터링 (에코리버21사업단, 2007~2010) 결과를 바탕으로, 과업지역내 우점종 (피라미), 아우점종 (쉬리 등 3개 어종), 멸종위기어종 (묵납자루)을 대상어종으로 선정하였으며, 대상어종에 대한 서식도적합도지수 (HSI, Habitat Suitability Index) 산정을 위해 IFASG (Instream Flow and Aquatic Systems Group) 방법 및 WDWF (Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife) 방법을 적용하였다. 수심, 유속, 하상재료 및 하상형상에 대한 서식도적합도지수가 5가지 대상어종에 대해 각각 산정되었으며, 복합적합도지수 (CSI : Combined Suitability Index)를 고려한 과업대상 위치별 어류의 발생확률이 모의되었다. 어류 군집에 대한 가중가용면적 (WUA)이 최대로 되는 생태학적 최적유량 산정 결과, Type I~III의 경우 모두 $10m^3/s$ 이하의 유량조건에 대해서 WUA가 최대값을 갖는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 납자루속의 어류 (Type III)의 WUA가 000 및 000속 (Type II)의 어류에 비해서 작은 유량에서 더 큰 값을 갖으며, $10m^3/$s 초과 유량에 대해서는 반대의 경향이 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of research is to explore the direction of building a collaborative supply chain, which may enhance the competitiveness of firms and their project-based supply chain. Large-scale plants or large-scale buildings construction is referred to as a EPC project. To identify a collaboration mechanism in the project-based supply chain, the empirical research was conducted on the interrelationship between the absorption capacity of firms participating in the EPC project, the incentive norms, the goal congruence with supply chain, and the ability of respond to changes of the task of supply chain. PLS-SEM was used as an analysis method to verify the research model. It is expected that the results will help inform the need for SCM, the importance of the incentive norms and the goal congruence in the supply chain of EPC project.

An Exploratory Study of Natural Scientists' Information Seeking Behavior When Writing a Research Proposal (자연과학분야 연구자들의 연구계획서 작성을 위한 정보추구행동의 탐색적 연구)

  • This study aims to explore information seeking behavior of natural scientists when they are writing a research proposal for applying to funding. It focuses on understanding their information needs and information seeking behavior, and factors influencing the behavior. Based on the conceptual framework of task-based information seeking, qualitative research methods including in-depth interviews and diary study are used. The results reveal that a variety of communicative subtasks take place in the process of research proposal writing. Also, the scientists tend to need information related funding opportunities and to research design, and access sources including human resources, documents, online databases and websites to meet their information needs. Finally, the study shows that the scientists' information seeking behavior when writing a proposal is influenced by personal, task-related, and sociocultural factors. This study will be helpful to design effective information services and strategies to assist science scholars applying to research funding.

Performance Analysis of Various Activation Functions in Super Resolution Model (초해상화 모델의 활성함수 변경에 따른 성능 분석)

  • ReLU(Rectified Linear Unit) 함수는 제안된 이후로 대부분의 깊은 인공신경망 모델들에서 표준 활성함수로써 지배적으로 사용되었다. 이후에 ReLU 를 대체하기 위해 Leaky ReLU, Swish, Mish 활성함수가 제시되었는데, 이들은 영상 분류 과업에서 기존 ReLU 함수 보다 향상된 성능을 보였다. 따라서 초해상화(Super Resolution) 과업에서도 ReLU 를 다른 활성함수들로 대체하여 성능 향상을 얻을 수 있는지 실험해볼 필요성을 느꼈다. 본 연구에서는 초해상화 과업에서 안정적인 성능을 보이는 EDSR(Enhanced Deep Super-Resolution Network) 모델의 활성함수들을 변경하면서 성능을 비교하였다. 결과적으로 EDSR 의 활성함수를 변경하면서 진행한 실험에서 해상도를 2 배로 변환하는 경우, 기존 활성함수인 ReLU 가 실험에 사용된 다른 활성함수들 보다 비슷하거나 높은 성능을 보였다. 하지만 해상도를 4 배로 변환하는 경우에서는 Leaky ReLU 와 Swish 함수가 기존 ReLU 함수대비 다소 향상된 성능을 보임을 확인하였다. 구체적으로 Leaky ReLU 를 사용했을 때 기존 ReLU 보다 영상의 품질을 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 PSNR 과 SSIM 평가지표가 평균 0.06%, 0.05%, Swish 를 사용했을 때는 평균 0.06%, 0.03%의 성능 향상을 확인할 수 있었다. 4 배의 해상도를 높이는 초해상화의 경우, Leaky ReLU 와 Swish 가 ReLU 대비 향상된 성능을 보였기 때문에 향후 연구에서는 다른 초해상화 모델에서도 성능 향상을 위해 활성함수를 Leaky ReLU 나 Swish 로 대체하는 비교실험을 수행하는 것도 필요하다고 판단된다.

Effect of the Organizational Culture of the Revenue Officer on Organizational Satisfaction and Job Performance (세무공무원의 조직문화가 조직만족과 직무성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to present basic directions and implications of the organizational culture and job performance by analysis of the causal path between the variables acknowledging the important role of the organizational satisfaction on the assumption that the organizational culture which is developed for improvement of the revenue officer's job performance by the taxation organization. In the results of analysis, the clan culture, hierarchy culture and market culture except the culture of innovation have positive effects on the organizational satisfaction, and the higher the organizational satisfaction, the higher efficiency of the performance of the tax administration affairs become, so the job performance becomes increase. This can be the results that the characteristics of the tax organizational culture which conducts the taxation administration affairs by the clan culture which is hierarchical and emphasizes the business performance through teamwork, and the market culture which emphasizes the results reflect the job performance. Therefore, the organizational culture that develops sense of ownership and being performed autonomously and responsibly should be created in order to increase the competitiveness in the organizations and to increase the job performance efficiently by the members of the organization to have worthwhile feeling.
