Development of technical guidelines for hydrologic cycle in urban catchment (도시유역 물순환 해석 기술지침 개발)

  • 도시유역에서의 장기간에 대한 물순환 해석 기술은 도시하천의 복원 및 건천화 방지 사업의 점증적인 요구에 따라 필수적으로 확보하여야 하는 기술이지만, 관련 연구와 실무에서의 이해도는 미진하다. 따라서, 사업의 계획과 실무 설계를 위하여 도시유역의 물순환에 대한 이해와 기술을 지원할 수 있는 체계적인 지침이 필요하다. 외국의 사례를 살펴보면 일본의 경우 1995년 건설성의 주요 정책으로 "도시에서 적정한 물순환계 재생에의 노력"을 추진하였으며, "도시의 물순환 재생 구상 책정 매뉴얼"을 작성하여 사례 연구로 6개 유역을 대상으로 검토하였고, 2000년에는 "도시유역 물순환계의 정량화 방안"을 우수저류침투기술협회에서 주관하여 물순환계 재생구상 또는 물순환계 마스터플랜을 수립함에 있어서 필요로 하는 물순환계의 해석적인 평가방법의 해설서를 발간하였다. 호주의 경우는 1999년부터 WSUD(Water Sensitive Urban Design)란 개념을 도입하여, 정부 및 각 지방별로 프로그램을 진행하고 있으며, 지침서와 기술지도서를 작성하여 교육을 하고 실무에 활용하고 있고, 사례 연구와 학술회의를 통하여 기술 교류를 활발히 하고 있다. 자연적인 요소와 인공적인 요소가 복잡하게 조합되어있는 도시지역의 물순환의 상태를 파악하기 위해서는 유역의 자연특성과 사회특성 등에 관한 기초 자료의 수집이 선행되어야 하며, 다양한 관측결과를 기초로 물 순환계의 구조, 인과관계를 알기 위해, 또 물순환계 구성요소의 일부가 변화한 경우 다른 부분에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 평가하기 위해서는 모델링이 필요하다. 또한 이 같은 해석 모형을 이용하여 여러 가지 물순환 개선 정책의 효과를 평가하고 그 결과를 시각적으로 나타내는 것이 가능하다면 정책의 입안에 관계하는 사람들에 있어 공통의 의사결정 지원 도구가 될 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 도시유역의 물순환 해석을 위한 일련의 과정, 즉 자료의 조사 및 취득에서부터 물순환 해석 모형을 이용한 정량적 현황파악, 물순환 개선 기법 및 평가를 수행함에 있어 주요 착안점 및 실무에서의 기술적 가이드를 제공하고자 하였으며, 보다 세밀한 도시유역의 물순환 해석을 위하여 우리나라와 일본에서 적용이 활발한 물리적 기반의 분포형 모형(WEP, SHER, SWMM)의 적용사례를 통하여 국내 도시하천의 물순환 해석에 활용함에 있어서의 실질적인 적용절차 등을 제시하고자 하였다.

A Study on the Effect of Montessori-Education Program on Preschooler Multiple Intelligences (몬테소리 교육프로그램이 유아의 다중지능에 미치는 효과 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how Montessori-education program, one of different early-childhood education programs, was tied into the multiple intelligences of young children and how Montessori education program affected their multiple intelligences. It's basically meant to determine the efficiency of Montessori-education program. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, the Montessori-education program turned out to have a favorable effect on the development of the young children's multiple intelligences. Second, among the subfactors of multiple intelligences, the musical and bodily-kinesthetic intelligences of the preschoolers were little affected by the Montessori-education program, but that had a good impact on their logical-mathematical, spatial, linguistic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist intelligences. The above-mentioned findings suggested that Montessori-education program was one of efficient teaching methods to step up the development of young children's multiple intelligences.

Ontology Modularization Evaluation Framework (온톨로지 모듈화 평가 프레임워크)

  • Several techniques and methods for ontology modularization have been proposed recently. However, there are few ontology evaluation frameworks to evaluate these techniques and methods. Most researches on ontology modularization have not been focused on ontology modularization evaluation but ontology modularization process itself. In this paper, we devise a novel ontology modularization evaluation framework to measure the quality of ontology modules, logical integrity during modularization process and modularization tools. Experiments were conducted to validate the proposed framework. Three representative modularization approaches SWOOP, Prompt, and PATO were chosen and used to partition or extract modules from an ontology. Then the proposed evaluation framework is applied to these modules. The experiment results indicate that the modularization framework works well. The proposed framework would help ontology engineers improve ontology module quality, anticipate and reduce future maintenance as well as help ontology users to choose ontology modules that best meet their requirements.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand how participants' experiences of participating in self-sufficiency projects were. To do this, we analyzed phenomenological methods using in-depth interview data of 48 participants from the Central Self-Sufficiency Foundation, which is qualitative data of the "Project for Strengthening Self-Support for the Working Poor". The study revealed 214 meaningful statements and general re-statements, 24 themes, 9 themes cluster, and 5 categories. Participants' experience was found to be forced work, felt alienated from the self-sufficiency business, and could not receive a clear vision for the future. At the same time, the experience of participating is an opportunity for motivation for change in one's own life, and the essence of becoming a stepping stone to move forward for self-reliance has been derived. Based on the results of this study, we proposed a practical policy task to create a positive expectation effect.

  • Although the multiplication of decimal fractions is expected to be easy for students to understand because of the similarity to natural numbers multiplication in computing methods, students show many errors in the multiplication of decimal fractions. This is a result of the instruction focused more on skill mastery than conceptual understanding. This study is a basic study for effectively developing a unit of multiplication of decimal fractions. For this purpose, we analyzed the curriculums' performance standards, significance in teaching-learning and evaluation, contents and methods for teaching multiplication of decimal fractions from the 7th curriculum to the revised curriculum of 2015 and the textbooks' activities and lessons. Further, we analyzed preceding studies and introductory books to suggest effective directions for developing teaching unit. As a result of the analysis, three implications were obtained: First, a meaningful instruction for estimation is needed. Second, it is necessary to present a visual model suitable for understanding the meaning of decimal multiplication. Third, the process of formalizing an algorithms for multiplying decimal fractions needs to be diversified.

  • It has been determined the 6 core competencies of our university students. Among them, it was judged that the student's convergence thinking ability and self-development ability were insufficient. To enforce the two insufficient abilities, an engineering-related major collage course was newly established in the form of an intensive coursework. The course was conducted as a shared curriculum between division/departments. For each of the first and second semesters in the 2020, 54 students from two completion groups (Department of Electrical and Electronic Control Engineering; 26, Optical Engineering; 28) were the subjects of the survey, the survey results of 20 common questions were comprehensively analyzed. As the result, more than 75% of the respondents were positive about free online learning at any time and place. And if additional interactive activities and team teaching method are reinforced during recorded audio and video contents learning material, It is confirmed that the attempted intensive course can maximize the learning effect.

  • Communication and cooperation between dentists and dental technicians are two essential elements for the fabrication of high quality 'custom' prosthesis. For successful communication and cooperation between the two groups, however, dentists and dental technicians must share common understanding about clinical dentistry. Ironically, it is often noticed that they are not really sharing the same clinical knowledge. Although there is a strong association between 'Emergence Profile' of implant prostheses and periodontal health or esthetics, no definite guideline has ever been provided for ideal emergence profile of implant prosthesis in literature. Problems resulted from inherent differences between implants and natural teeth must be acknowledged and shared between dentists and dental technicians so that they can come up with desirable clinical results with implant prostheses.

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss the improvement plan of book curation service by examining the current status of book curation, necessity and effectiveness of book curation, targeting librarian teachers. A questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 51 librarians in the Gyeonggi region. The main results are as follows. First, 86.3% of respondents had experience in book curation operation. Second, the most important reason for book curation service was to introduce resources of various subjects to students. Third, the subject of curation were selected by book event and social issues. Fourth, there were many cases where librarians performed services without receiving training on book curation. Lastly, although the recognition that book curation services are necessary is high, they are experiencing operational difficulties due to lack of space and budget. Based on the results, Based on the results, we suggested that this study has academic contributions as data that reports the reality of book curation, and that in order to actively match library resources with users without disappearing, professional education and curriculum of librarians should be able to eliminate common problems in previous studies.

  • The colorful overhead projector films, named as Bio-cosmos II, including photographs, pictures, concept maps, and diagrams, were developed and manufactured as audio-visual teaching aids and teaching resources for students' biology learning in high school, and the CD-ROM and web sites for their application to the school were also constructed. The content of the films was organized based upon the analysis of seven different biology textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education. The films were designated based on various instructional strategies and manufactured using multimedia with various educational softwares. The CD-ROM was composed of the scenes as logo, initial main, chapters list, contents, and quit. Initial main scene indicated various chapters according to the texts of biology areas in General Science, Biology I, and II. Each chapters linked with the scenes for detailed concept maps, the downstream real subjects, and contents. The subject screens were composed of various types of summarized diagrams including lesson contents, figures, pictures, photographs, and their explanation, experimental procedures and results, tables for summarized contents, and additional animation with video captures, explanations, glossary, etc. Most files were manufactured in software Adobe Photoshop by scanning the pictures, figures and photographs, and then the explanation, modification, storing with PICT or PSD files, and transformation with JPG files, were processed in the aspect of high quality in terms of instructional strategies and graphic skills on gracefulness, clearness, colorfulness, brightness, and distinctness. A 14 films for biology areas in General Science, 80 for Biology I, and 142 for Biology II were manufactured and loaded to the CD-ROM and web site, and the files had been attempted to opened with an internet home-page of http://gic.kyungpook.ac.kr/biocosmos.

  • This study aims to identify how performing artists in Korea, who are the target beneficiaries of the Arts Council Korea's Performing Arts Fostering Program, Chang-jak-san-shil(CJSS), would perceive and assess the current state of CJSS and its effects. To do so, this paper has adopted a bottom-up approach as a theoretical lens for policy evaluative analysis. This research engages with qualitative research design by conducting a series of in-depth interviews and FGIs with 28 participants in total. The interview participants consist of CJSS grantees(n=21) and peer-review panels(n=7) based on the intension to enhance objectivity and reliability of the study. Results of the data analysis suggest that the grant program still carries pressing needs to achieve a success as follows: providing post-program support, enhancing transparency of the panel appointment process and the peer review process, reflecting different nature of each arts discipline, and having more open communications with arts professionals. Based on these findings, this paper will provide and discuss about policy implications which can contribute to the performing arts domain at large.
