An Efficient Heuristic to Solve Vehicle Routing Problem for Container Shuttle Service (컨테이너 셔틀 서비스를 위한 차량 경로 문제의 근사적 해법)

  • Generally, the container road transportation can be divided into three types; short distance, long distance and shuttle transportation. Specially, the shuttle service occurs several amounts of container which is same as O/D pairs. Also container vehicle can be divided into three types according to the chassis types of vehicle; only 20-feet container, only 40-feet container and combined chassis trailer. Combined chassis trailers can load two 20-feet containers or one 40-feet container. This paper deals with Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) for delivering containers considering shuttle service. This problem is similar to the previously studied Shin and Oh (2008), but the characteristics of shuttle service must be considered additionally. We formulate the container shuttle transportation planning problem using combined chassis trailers based on VRP with pick-up and delivery which can visit each node more than one time, and propose an efficient solution procedure.

  • Busan Port which is the representative social overhead capital facilities for international trade of goods has need the driving force for economic development in Korea. Therefore, the central government should play the major role in building a rear road to Busan Port in order that it may function as a moor port of Northeastern Asia through the systemization of mutual assistance among connected facilities, completely equipped with port-related facilities befitting to the principal port of imports and exports. In this study, the validity of container tax is being examined, analyzing container tax which is considered as an obstacle to the development of Busan Port and its purpose, and grasping the present conditions by the realistic speculation on container tax issues and its abolition. First, the port rear road as a social overhead capital facilities, which connects port and expressway, should be considered as part of port, and port is social overhead capital invested by government. Second, the Busan City imposes taxes on container. As a result, a shipper and a shipping company are paying a double charge by paying container tax with port dues. Third, Empty container and Tranship container are the factor of Busan city traffic jam but their was excluded from container tax. This is deviate from equilibrium of the tax object. Forth, it has bad influence upon the competitiveness of Busan Port as Northeastern logistics base, as other ports who are competing with Busan Port like china, Taiwan, Japan's port make their competitiveness strong by decreasing the cost of port dues.

  • 쿠버네티스는 컨테이너를 사용하는 분산 클라우드에서 컨테이너화를 쉽고 빠르게 배포/확장할 수 있어 유용한 플랫폼이다. 쿠버네티스에서 다양한 애플리케이션들이 동작하며 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 서비스의 원활한 제공을 위하여 고객과 서비스수준에 대한 약속인 SLA와 SLA의 기준이 되는 SLO에 필요한 지표를 확인하는 것은 중요하다. 본 논문은 쿠버네티스 클러스터로 구성된 분산 클라우드 DECENTER를 소개하고 DECENTER에서 분산 AI 애플리케이션의 효율적인 SLO를 지원하는 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다.

  • Demands for higher productivity in container terminal environments continues to escalate consideration of equipment upgrades. And then transportation of containers using the automated container crane becomes more and more important for productivity enhancements. Introducing a hybrid control architecture to the container crane, it provides a effective means to the automated operation of the container crane. This paper addresses the methodology for automation of container cranes. In addition, this paper proposes a new control architecture for the automated container crane and explains each component of that architecture. The control architecture is composed of a deliberative control layer, a sequencing layer, and a reactive control layer. The proposed architecture is applied to a dual-hoist double-trolley container crane.

  • 고성능 컴퓨팅 기술과 딥 러닝 기술이 충분한 발전을 거쳐 인공지능 기술은 다양한 분야에서 실제로 적용되고 있다. 인공지능 플랫폼 기술이 사용자에게 적절하게 활용되기 위해서 엣지 컴퓨팅 기반의 마이크로 서비스 아키텍처(MSA)가 주목받고 있다. 이와 관련된 기술을 통해 클라우드 기반의 여러 인공지능 애플리케이션들이 엣지 장치에서 직접 처리가 가능하다면 비용적인 측면뿐 아니라 여러 관점에서 효율적이므로 엣지 컨테이너의 운용 기술에 대한 수요가 높아지고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 논문에서는 엣지 디바이스에 간단한 딥 러닝 서비스를 배포하고 운용할 수 있는 컨테이너를 구현하였다. 또한, REST 통신 방법 이외에 RPC 방식을 사용하여 원격 제어를 가능하게 하도록 구성하였으며, 여러 제어 기능들이 동작함을 확인하였다.

Shipping Container Load State and Accident Risk Detection Techniques Based Deep Learning (딥러닝 기반 컨테이너 적재 정렬 상태 및 사고 위험도 검출 기법)

  • Incorrectly loaded containers can easily knock down by strong winds. Container collapse accidents can lead to material damage and paralysis of the port system. In this paper, We propose a deep learning-based container loading state and accident risk detection technique. Using Darknet-based YOLO, the container load status identifies in real-time through corner casting on the top and bottom of the container, and the risk of accidents notifies the manager. We present criteria for classifying container alignment states and select efficient learning algorithms based on inference speed, classification accuracy, detection accuracy, and FPS in real embedded devices in the same environment. The study found that YOLOv4 had a weaker inference speed and performance of FPS than YOLOv3, but showed strong performance in classification accuracy and detection accuracy.

Structural Performance and Behavior of Concrete Floating Container Terminal by Live Load Distributions (활하중 분포에 따른 콘크리트 부유식 컨테이너 터미널의 구조성능 및 거동)

  • In this study, comparative analysis has been performed with regard to a bending stress and deformation at bottom slab of a concrete floating container terminal by live load distributions. In addition, a structural performance and behavior of the floating structure is considered using a numerical analysis. Through reviewed structural performance of a floating structure by live load distribution, the structure presented tensile behavior by two live load cases (A, B, D-type). Then, the other live load cases (C, E, F, G, H, I, J-type) shows compressive behavior. Especially, immoderately compressive stress was generated on bottom slab at specific load distribution. but, that should be decreased through controling buoyancy pre-flexion. Through reviewed structural behavior, slopes of structure by four live load cases (B, E, F, H-type) were exceeded in design criteria of mega-float. It should be estimated that it get out of the load case at loading container. In all, the present study can be considered as a benchmark of a floating container terminal in the absence of analysis and will be used to guide-line about serviceability of concrete floating container terminal.
