컨테이너 터미널의 내륙운송 효율화를 위한 플랫폼 개발 모델 구축

  • 4차 산업혁명의 가속화에 따라 해운 항만 산업 분야 또한 정보적 측면에서 빅 데이터에 대한 업종별 통합과 공유를 통해 연계 산업 간 산업활동 효율화를 위한 노력이 요구된다. 현재 물류 분야에 다양한 플랫폼들이 도입되고 있지만 대부분 화물운송업 또는 창고 중개업 분야에 편중되어 있다. 항만산업의 경우 코로나 펜데믹 이후 발생한 컨테이너 반입 제한 및 장치율 증가 등에 따라 운송사와 컨테이너터미널 간 갈등이 지속적으로 유발되는 상황이 발생되었다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 플랫폼을 활용한 컨테이너터미널과 운송사 간 플랫폼 개발의 필요성을 인지하고 상호 기업 간 연계 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하였으며 산업 관계자인 컨테이너터미널 운영사, 운송사, 포워더 업종 종사자들을 대상으로 설문지 기반 실증 분석을 수행하였다. 결과적으로 EFA를 통해 추출된 14가지 요인으로 IPA 분석을 수행한 결과 1사분면(사용 용이성, 보안성, 정보 정확성, 정보 적시성, 차량 반출/반입정보, 공컨테이너 반입/반출 정보, 풀컨테이너 반입/반출정보)으로 품질에 대한 지속적인 개선이 수행되어야 하며 2사분면(APP 시스템 품질)에 대한 고려가 종합적으로 수행되어야 함이 도출되었다. 또한, 플랫폼 개발의 주체와 이용자의 참여 유도가 필요하며 상호 이해관계자 간 효율적인 연계와 효율화를 위한 인식 구조 개선이 필요하다고 나타났다. 연구결과는 향후 컨테이너터미널과 내륙운송의 효율적인 연계를 위한 플랫폼 구축에 중대한 시사점을 제공한다.

  • Rail-road intermodal freight transport is a transoortation system that rail and road transport are utilized between origins and destinations. The roles of road(truck) in rail-road intermodal freight transport are pick-up and delivery that are keys parts of total transportation process. The objective of this study is to develop and evaluate the pick-up and delivery strategies for container trucks in order to increase their productivity. Two different strategies are developed : One is aimed for minimizing the total traveling distance of container and the other is to reduce the waiting time at client site. The comparative studies are performed on the actual network of Paris metropolitan. The simulation analysis shows that the proposed strategies are quite efficient in various performance measures.

  • 최근 컨테이너 크레인이 대용량화되고 사용대수가 증가하게 됨으로써 여러 가지 사고 위험과 문제점이 함께 증가하게 되었다. 대표적으로 돌풍이나 태풍으로 인해 정지해 있던 크레인이 강한 풍하중을 받게 되면 레일 상에서 컨테이너 크레인이 밀리게 되는데, 한번 밀리기 시작하면 자체의 높은 관성력으로 인하여 이를 정지시키기가 매우 힘들게 되어 대형사고로 이어질 수 있다. 실례로 2an년 태풍 매미로 인하여 부산항 컨테이너 크레인이 바람에 밀려 붕괴되는 사고가 발생하기도 하였다.(중략)

Container Identifier Recognition Using Morphological Features and FCM-Based Fuzzy RBF Network (형태학적 특성과 FCM 기반 퍼지 RBF 네트워크를 이용한 컨테이너 식별자 인식)

  • In this paper, we proposed a container identifier recognition method for containers used in harbors. After converting a real container image to a gray image, edges are detected from the gray image applying Prewitt mask and candidate identifier area is extracted using morphological features of individual identifier for identifying containers. Because noises are included in the extracted candidate identifier area, noises are eliminated and each identifier is separated using 4-directional edge tracking algorithm and Grassfire algorithm. Each identifier in the noise-free candidate identifier area is recognized using FCM-based row RBF network for discriminating containers. We used 300 real container images for experiment to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, and we could verify the proposed method is better than a conventional method.

  • This study aims to apply and examine the stochastic approach for empty container repositioning and leasing problem. For this a case study has been carried out on actual data such as various cost components and traffic flow. The results reveal that the proposed methodology produces more realistic results than the conventional deterministic approaches. It is also found that the results are significantly affected by the accuracy of demand and supply forecast.

  • In this paper, we propose a container wall and its boundary layer insulation design method that can maintain the temperature inside the spacecraft shipping container constantly under the condition that the heat or the external temperature changes severely to safely transport the satellite to the launch site. We will examine if the temperature inside the satellite shipping container is kept constant through the heat flow analysis and the satellite heat transfer analysis for the external environment of the satellite shipping container. Through the flow analysis inside the container, the flow distribution around the satellite in the container is analyzed, and the auxiliary fan, air conditioning system and special grill guide structure design for improving and optimizing heat flow performance are proposed.

  • This study addresses how to plan purchasing and leasing of containers to satisfy the demand on containers. The problem can be further decomposed into the long-term planning and the short-term scheduling. The long-term plan specifies the composition of owned containers, long-term leasing containers, and short-term containers. The short-term plan considers the seasonality of demand and determines the time of leasing and the amount of the short-term and the long-term leasing containers. The length of the planning horizon is 10-20 years for the long-term planning, while it is one year for the short-term planning. The time unit is one year for the long-term planning, while it is one month for the short-term planning. This study discusses how to estimate the demand of containers and proposes deterministic models for scheduling purchasing and leasing of containers.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes in the recovery of equipment using full containers loaded with freight instead of direct container transportation according to the sales policy considering the cost of transporting the containers. The EMU operation case was analyzed. The policies implemented by Company A to provide EMU credits depended only on the relative accountability contribution margin per box (RA CMPB) for the profitability of backhaul full freight. Therefore, these policies resulted in limitations in sales based on profitable accountability (PA) CMPB, which is more profitable. Moreover, while some Asian regions have surplus equipment, many Asian destinations to which their freight is exported have equipment shortages. Thus, in some cases, service sales to the regions with surplus equipment generated greater company-wide profits when compared with the return of empty containers or sales to the regions with insufficient equipment. In other words, the conditions for providing EMU credits should be changed, and even the full freight between regions with surplus equipment should be provided with credit amounts in which potential factory and transport costs in a destination are pre-reflected.
