N-Screen Era, Issues and Perspectives on the Dispute of Copyright: Based on the Right of Communication to the Public and the Private Copy on the Sling Box (N-Screen 시대, 저작권 분쟁의 쟁점과 시각: 슬링박스의 공중송신권과 사적복제의 문제를 중심으로)

  • The N Screen service has been focused because of the explosive growth of Smart media. However, between content producers and service providers have been causing the copyright issue while N-Screen service providing real-time channels. In this study, the current copyright issues are analyzed by examining at the right relationships associated with the right of communication to the public and private copy that caused by sling box which is activated N Screen.

Design and Impementation of File Transfer Protocol Through Public Network (공중망을 이용한 화일전송 프로토콜의 설계 및 구현에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the design and implementation of a File Transfer Protocol between PC's which are connected through public network. The file handling system was implemented under 3B20S/UNIX which has connections to IBM-PC under MS-DOS. In designing the Protocol we use Kerimit Protocol which supports a file transfer between several kinds of PC's, and we extended the Kermit Protocol to have window function and file managing system. Users prepare data at PC and are able to send it to host computer and can receive, inquire, and delete file in host computer.

An Analysis on the Copyright Issues Using Cinematographic Works in Libraries (영상저작물 활용에 관한 도서관의 저작권 쟁점 분석)

  • This study investigated the present situation of the use of cinematographic works and the problems of copyright. Surveys were conducted in public and university libraries for these. Also, content analyses were conducted to make sense of copyright problems in libraries. As a result, this study found that problems of copyright had occurred in various aspects related to public performance, lending, digitization and internet services according to the diversity of facilities for watching cinematographic works and library services. Also, the librarians' questions to the copyright were very various from the primary level to specific level. This study suggested that regular courses of study in library schools need to be opened to primitive understanding to copyright law and occupational training programs for librarians need to be opened to complementary education as revisions of copyright law. This study also suggested that the online Q&A services need to be started for librarians who have detailed copyright problems.

On Reducing the Shadow Region for Extending the Service Area of TBN-Jeonju Broadcasting (전주교통방송 가청권 확대를 위한 음영 지역 해소 방안)

  • In this paper, we investigated the shadow area of radio programs which are currently being broadcast via FM 102.5 MHz in Jeollabuk-do consisting of 6 cities and 8-guns. The field strength data of FM 102.5 MHz was used with criterion of shadow area. As a result, the field strength of the eastern mountainous area in Jeollabuk-do was very low. We also measured, compared and analyzed the field strength of 102.5 MHz(TBN-Jeonju), 100.7 MHz(KBS) and 99.1 MHz (MBC) in Jeollabuk-do. Based on the field strength data, we tried to find what correlation exists and how much influence is between difference of antenna output power and solution of shadow area. In result, enhancement of antenna output power is not solution in terms of reducing the shadow Area of 102.5 MHz(TBN-Jeonju). In addition, we measured, compared and analyzed the field strength of 102.5 MHz(TBN-Jeonju) and 106.9 MHz(EBS). In fact, the relay stations with 104.1 MHz, 104.9 MHz, 105.3 MHz and 107.5 MHz of EBS FM has a number of FM relay stations in the eastern mountainous area of Jeollabuk-do. As a result, we confirmed that EBS almost did not have shadow area in the eastern mountainous area of Jeollabuk-do based on the field strength data. As in the case of EBS and KBS, we suggest installing TBN-Jeonju FM relay station with the best solution to reducing the shadow area to extend the audible range of TBN-Jeonju.
